May I ask to what end? If it was all his plan for his own gains and not for the Reapers, than clearly he had a goal and reasoning for the attack. Yet Saren having no known reasoning nor known objective for his attack on the Citadel doesn't seem to bother them. Also how did he plan on getting rid of the Geth once they served there purpose? Clearly he couldn't trick the Geth forever. Also how could he trick the Geth if they built Sovereign?

@SuperTyrant20 The council is the galactic government. Even if they're assholes, losing them causes crisis of power, which rarely turns out to be a good thing in the long run. The Ascension has the firepower of half the asari fleet and a crew of around ten thousand. The choice is whether to save non-human lives while losing human ones in process.

Not being funny but how can they not believe in Reapers. They are the dubest politicians ever! I only kept them alive in ME1 because I thought they would be the complete opposite of this. However killing them gives you a different council with the exact same view. Anderson FTW!

That's only in the renegade ending where you deliberately let the council die, rather than give the order to concentrate on the sovereign. In that either/or paragon or renegade ending, it's a new reformed council with other citadel races chaired by the systems alliance, rather than an all human council.

Also in the ME3 leaked the beta the first thing Anderson( he will be no longer in the Council) tells Shepard is to go to the cidatel and talk to the the Council for help,The old council owns shepard a favor, while the new council will only focus on helping themselves ...

@TheBIOPRINCE Yep, which is why it's nice to roll multiple Shepards and explore the variety of outcomes. I have several paragons/paragades who saved the original Council, and renegades/renegons who sacrificed them. I can't wait to see how it all turns out on March 6th. =D ME3 is going to have a lot of replayability for me.
