Recently, the first Fort Montgomery Days were held and well attended. Guided tours were given of the intact structure, the flag flew above it for the 1st time in a century. Cannon and muskets were fired, live period music was played and re-enactors staged an attack. Artifacts, pictures, and books were available. Come join our 2 day weekend celebration next summer. The History Channel is filming there this week.
Growing up, we had some family friends that owned a cottage across the way, and on occasion would take boats over by the area of the fort to look at it closer. I would love to have this kind of access to the place. Big thumbs up, you're very a very lucky individual.

The owners that allowed the demolition of this priceless treasure should be jailed for treason!
