  • the cricket is so adoreable

  • Dame this is awesome!

  • Wow!

I like the way you did the head/eyes

That what I've been think to use angle technic beams to form the eye shape.

The flashing blue eyes are just awesome!

  • Where can i get one?

  • @1067017 late reply go! You need to build it yourself. Got any gears or good lego pieces? You also need an NXT (robot brain) to program. Plus, you also need sensors for hearing, seeing, etc.

  • Does he have an ultrasonic sensor?

  • @Dinoman217 no he dosent have an ultrasonic sensor it wasnt asteticlly good enough to make it into the design we did however mount it onto his head to run some programs that required it, we also put two light sensors on the front of him so he could follow a line for a while, so they became more of a temp' mod' or mode attachments

  • @kipp8 Okay! but can you give us the instructions that came with him? If you can, then maybe I can figure out how to do that!

  • @Dinoman217 this was built with imagination, there is no instructions! i just built it from standard lego parts from scratch, im sorry i know youd like to build it but there is no info i can give that would help, unless you can build it by pausing all the vids?

  • WOOOW!!! Was that hal the cockroach? That was hilarious, nice detail...

  • yep its the cockroach we actully were able to stick in 1 extra motor in the end and had him running round in eccentric circles every time wall-E stopped longer than 3 secs!

  • EXCELLENT. I loooove it 5 Stars/

  • holy fu you can make teh future

  • Cool!!!!!!

  • kool

  • Well done - as a fellow Wall-E builder I know that he is a challenging robot to get working. My Wall-E also uses 9 motors. I like the way you put the lights into the eyes, and the hand movement is much smoother than mine.

  • @markclego dude how old are you? im 29 so this is something that was average for me to build you appear to be much younger than me and you wall-e is quite good i like the way youve motorized the door on the front, you should grow up to be a very good builder if you stick to it, very creative well done

  • @kipp8 Hi Kipp - thank for your kind words. However as I'm quite a bit older than you I think I'll be aging backwards so we can meet in the middle :)

  • @markclego see you then mr button

  • Kipp8,

    That's very impressive.

Does he operate wirelessly or does it use a programable controller?

Thank you for posting this as a responce to our progress video.

  • You wall-e turned out very good man... nice head design and overall proportions, Tell me all those PF motors... you plan on programming them via HiTechnics IRLINK?

  • How many lego nxt motors dose it use and how many power function motors.

  • wall-e uses 8 motors

the 3 nxt motors for hands, arms

    + 3M motors for head u/d, head l/r, eyes u/d

+ 2 XL motors for the tracks

    so 8 in total

but ive added an extra M to moove the cockroach now! so 9!
