Born there, grew up in Columbia a few miles away. Dad born in Jamestown a few miles away, Grandma born in Jacksonville (now nonexistent, under the waters of New Melones a few miles away, but she grew up in Jamestown. We go back to the Gold Rush days in the Mother Lode. No better place on earth.
And also if you pay attenion you can see it is early in the morning and none of the shops are open so of course there is no one in the streets and since it is a thursday the majority of the people who walk downtown are in school.
Well..... It seems like a pretty normal day to me seeing as i live there and yeah its fun to vist and it seems exciting enough but on the off season with no tourists it is dead. Also this is a nice smooth video i like it but i is boring as hell there for a teenager.
It's a beautiful little town... been through there many times. I've never seen the streets so deserted. Usually when I pass through all the parking spots on the street are filled and the sidewalks are filled with people... and that's not even during one of their many festivals.
I lived in Sonora since 2004. I miss it so much.

its usually a hub of activity with people and cars but not so on that day.
