1.5 mil views for one of the greatest songs ever yet theres soo much shit music with like 10 20 100 mil hits not gonna name these shit wannabes cos it will undermine my arguement
@DannyVsTheWorld lets face it, a lot of support was lost im sure after people found about drug use, like songs off the "White" album have a lot of views. and the song "Here comes the Sun" has around 24 million views i believe, which is good. you also have to remember that they are still the best selling musicians ever. and still are.
"Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" were the first 2 songs recorded during the sessions that became the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Just imagine if they'd been included on the final pressing of it! Those two masterpieces would've made Sgt. Pepper's an EVEN BETTER album than it was (and it's already considered the greatest album in rock history). MIND BLOWING.
@AbbeyRoadkill1 the Sgt. Pepper album BLOWS. I know it. You know it. And Johnny Boy knew it. He even said so in his final interview. A Day in the Life shines, to be sure, but the rest is just fluff and only considered great because people were all out of it at the time. The album cover is wonderful.
@JonBenait06 Of course it blows... everything else away. w/A Little Help from My Friends = classic. Lucy in the Sky w/Diamonds = mind melting. Fixing A Hole = monstrous. She's Leaving Home = heartbreaking. Mr. Kite = genius. Within You W/O You = epic. When I'm Sixty Four = amazing. Good Morning Good Morning = infectious. A Day in the Life = simply the greatest song EVER written. Then add Strawberry Fields Forever & Penny Lane. Makes 'Dark Side of the Moon' look like a shitty album.
@IxLove The guys in Pink Floyd would be the first to say they aren't as good as The Beatles. I was just trying to point out that Sgt. Pepper's (and most other Beatles albums, for that matter) is head and shoulders above every other rock'n roll album out there.
@StillComedy HAHAHAH a little bit?? This whole album is one big acid trip. And no shit you're not addicted, it has no addictive properties. But it is said that if you do it four times you are considered insane because it burns little holes through your brain. And any opiate will put you in rehab, which I was referring to when I said that.
@StillComedy LOL - Take it from me kid, you've never done LSD, which is no longer around. The so-called 'Acid' making the rounds today has virtually no Lysergic Acid Diethylamide within its properties. Marketing has taken over everything - mix caffeine, quinine, & some Morning Glory seeds for pennys, sell it as acid and BOOM-BaddaPing! I was there & in a lot of ways I still am, you see, once your REALLY out there, you never really come back, not all the way. Advice - STAY PUT.
@EndridCold LMAO, take it from me dumb ass, lsd is made from mold off of rye, hahaha caffiene? your a fucking idiot. the shit i've done was on a q-tip, and ur a fucking retard if you dont think tablets are still around. @EndridCold comment #2: you are the bggest idiot ever, read my 1st comment, also. The Beatles did LSD, and your saying they never get off the high? wow fucking idiot. seriously so dumb.
@EndridCold fuck everytime i read your comment, i have to type something new cuz ur such a fucking idiot. so your just the dealer? ripping people off? get a fucking life, i doubt you eve know how to make your version of "acid" as you call it, peice of shit scum. just because you dont know how to make the real thing, doesnt mean it doesnt exist moron
1:28 to 1:47 - Lennon's vocals were recorded in a different key and slowed down. Once you notice this, it is hard to ignore. On the love version, this part is completely removed, replaced with an alternative take and switched to the first verse. Little trivia for you there.
@ Doki66 dude! i always knew there was just SOMETHING about that exact point and just couldn't put my finger on it! thank you for actually having a contributing comment that is relevant. i tip my hat to you, fellow beatles fan!
@DanielMarolda No, historically it is either "I buried Paul" or "Cranberry Sauce". Your choice but those are your only two. I wasn't there either but all books, interviews, and recordings of interviews say the same thing.
@streetbmxer501 That's funny because I remember when I first got into the Beatles, thought Paul sang "Strawberry Fields Forever" and John sang "Penny Lane". Turns out it was the other way around.
If you want to see what could be the real retired James Paul McCartney of today, go to my channel and watch the video, he goes by the name of John Halliday.
I remember listening to this with my dad, when he was driving me to school. I never managed to listen to the end, because I arrived to school right in the middle of the song...
I HAVE NOW HEARD THE END, AND IT'S FREAKING SCARY. EEP.
@narkodavid ahhha ur dad is a smart man, i had "gotten high" before listening to this song and thats a good explanation. Just remember the "strawberry fields" doesnt last forever and when it is done all you want is more ( which can lead to really bad situations) . I wish my parents/ adult figures in my life had only been more honest with me about the effect of drugs.
@narkodavid If you get the chance. Try some marijuana a few times. listening to mellow music like this. Avoid the harsh crap thats available today. @supersuzaaa The song makes sense, it's reminiscent of their childhood. Strawberry Fields was an orphanage that John and Paul used to play at when they were younger. If you just read any book or magazine about their music, they explain almost every song The Beatles have ever written.
