How good is the Tiger? I'm thinking about buying one that's two or three years old and the guy selling it said that there's no difference between it and the newest ones because Triumph got it right when it first came out. Is that true, no difference?
THANKS!!
P.S. GREAT VID!!!
P.P.S. Maybe kind of a stupid question, but ... how well do these Tigers do in heavy down pours? I hate it with all my past bikes that they'd sputter and sometimes even go dead. Do these Tigers manage heavy rain OK?
I'm considerig the 1050 (along with the adventure 800) and all the other comparables (Multistrada, KTM 990 BMW gs). To me the tiger seesm like the most suitable and this vid helped me a lot. I plan to do a lot of road driving/touring with rare offroad/gravel stuff so the 800 adventure and gs seem a little overkill for me. Plus it looks the easiest to clean!!
Great video. I've been looking at Triumph 1050 to take on long road tours with a bit of gravel road / fire trail.
Looks like it handles it OK, which was my experience when I hired one here in Australia. Thanks for sharing the video - it's great to see where other people go.
It would be great to take one through Switzerland up through Furkapasse, Sustenpasse.
What tires do you run?
Any news on whether / when Triumph are releasing a more off road version of the Tiger?
That road looks like great fun! What type of can/system are you running on the bike? It sounds lovely; just the right fruity note without being over noisy.
Nice video! The Tiger's a brilliant motorbike!

I believe that a more 'adventure' biased Tiger is due out in 2009 as a 2010 model. also a 675 Tiger Cub! One for me and one for the missus!
