not the same, they are different stages, it makes a big difference when you are traveling, the challenges and experiences are quite different, there is no more Ego, after the piercing the veil of Paroketh, you experience the Mystical death. To cross the abyss you need to build the bridge with Knowledge and Wisdom. They are really different manifestations and experiences. The Abyss is the third crossing, Paroketh is the second. Namaste.
