I cant hate you for saying that but I ran with him, and I could see what he could do. He runs 9's consistantly in the 100. He's been battling a Hammy injury though, so he never pushed himself too much. No doubt, if he gets a metal in the 100 it will be unexpected, but dont count him out--he has a heart of a champ.There is not question that he could beat Demps.Dix cruises the last 40 meters just to qualify. Wind or no wind,he runs the same cuz he has power. I expect 2 metals with dix name on it.

In the NCAA championships, dix came in 4th. Why?he didnt want to hurt himself,cuz the olympic trials were far more important.Look a trindon Holiday,travis Pagent,and Demps.They all beat Dix before,but their not faster-they didnt make the USA team.Dix understands that he cant put all of his energy in one race that how he made it this far.And in the 4x1 dix should run the anchor since he has the most power--any other position would be a waist other then the 3rd leg cuz he could run the turns well.

I Know Dix. He is the fastest person in college, but his injuries keep holding him back.  He has to change his style of running because it keeps getting him injured. He just needs to learn how to start better, and relax when it comes to the final 60meters. His form forces him to press the entire way and thats how you get injured. I dont know how well he'll be in the future, but he has the potential to be the fastest in the USA.

That depends all on exactly which race you're talking about.

I'd say that getting out of the blocks is hurting him nearly only in the 100, where in essentially all of his races, he starts at the back of the pack but then hits that burst at the 50 meter mark and can catch up to the lead

In the 200, I don't see how him getting out of the blocks quickly would effect his speed throughout the race. His main problem in that is running an efficient turn. But he closes so fast
