  • i just clicked on your head because it pauses the video, and i like it a lot because you're talking crap.

  • expert village close ur act u dont help us...

  • whats the name of that microphone and can you use it with M-Audio Fast Track PRO USB Audio Recording please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • More stupidity.

  • are u trying to explain how to build a recording studio with those shitty monitors behind u??

  • @Uruk666Hai Rokits aren't shitty monitors.

  • @deadcitysundaymusic

mm are not so good monitors.. i've got KRK VXT6 and.. yeah.. good monitors, rokit are the cheap version, but quality/price good..

  • What is that mic called?

  • @stuntboy556 AKG C414 XLS. That is the cheaper version. Go with the AKG C414 XL-II.

  • This video doesn´t works!!!!!1

  • where do you get the microphones on your right (my left when watching) with the circle thing in front of it???? cuz i relly want to start recording me siging in my computer roomm and i really want one of those microphones that the singers use in the studio... my parents said they'd buy me one they just dont know whre to get them at......

  • @pianogirl08 Hi, thats a condenser mic and need a phanton power source, if you don´t have an interface whit this source you can buy a Audio Technica AT2020 USB or something similar and plug it directly on your computer USB port, thats the easier way to star your home recording studio.

    Regards.

  • go to guitar world mostly they have every thing

  • @pianogirl08 It's called a pop filter and they cost about $20 you can get them from guitar center or most music stores.

  • you can get them on ebay for cheap and it's a pop screen it's not an actual part of the microphone

  • What's wrong with that monitor? What's a lyrics player?

  • you dont know shit

  • dude can you plese help me man im tryin to make music

  • don't get into this fuck nut!! you can cover a big pallete of sound by just having a Dynamic (SM57/58, Audix i5, Sennheiser MD427, etc...), a big diaphragm condenser (Rode NT1a, Audio Technica AT2020, etc...)and a small diaphragm condenser (Shure SM81, Rode M3, etc...), and adding other microphones to cover your needs later on.

  • I would argue that the Preamp in a studio is more important than the microphones, i don't care how bad ass your mics are, if your running them through a tube MP, you'r not going to sound very good :)

  • If you can't tell the difference between a high end and a low end preamp(sound wise), it's pointless. Technique is more worth than gear quantity/price. If you don't know mic techniques and placement, you can make (just a example) a 3 grand U87 plugged into a Chandler TG 2 sound worse than a good placed AT2020 plugged into a Tube MP.

I should say acoustic treatment is way more important than gear, but that's not the focus point here.

  • Not necessarily....you're not gonna want to get a shitty mic in the first place, unless you're on a shitty budget. However, I do agree with you on the Preamp thing. But you can go get an interface that have good mic pres and not sweat the preamp thing. You know, like those M-Audio FireWire interfaces with the built-in Octane Preamps. Get one of those babies and worry about a Preamp later.

  • Ancient caveman monitor lol

  • Look up "Burn Out Dots" really good rapper.Breath of fresh air.

  • Get a Rode NT-1A for vocals. ($300 on ebay)

Get a Shure SM-57 for guitar amps. ($100 on ebay. They sell em in 2 packs aswell :P)

Drums = Superior Drummer 2.0 Software by Toontrack. All i can say is once you find superior drummer you won't need to d*ck around with recording live drums and superior 2.0 sounds F*cking amazing.

Bass = DI Box. Or mic up an amp.

    ALSO learn about PLUGINS!

    Hope THis helps

  • Yea its about the mic...and what about procesors or smth?you can't just pluge in your mic straight to your pc can you?

  • replace a drum with a machine? good luck getting something decent that is truly on par with a decent drummer and good miking

  • Windows users should look at Pro Tools Software. Pro tools is an industry standard Costs around $300 for Full Pro Tools 8.

Pro tools 7 is a cheaper option and still functions very well.

Pro Tools LE is for the M-Box interfaces.

Pro tools M-Powered is for M-Audio Interfaces.

TIP: Pro Tools will not fire up unless you have an interface plugged into ure computer.

(PS: an interface is a hardware box that will sit on ure desk with mic inputs on it that plugs into ure computer thru USB)

  • i dont trust this guy...i havent seen that type of screen in a long time.

  • LOL!!!!!

  • can you please give a list of things that we need to set up a home studio pleasee thanks you

  • powered or unpowered studio monitors,

    condenser microphone,

    pop filter,

mbox 2 with protools or a usb/firewire mixer (use adobe audition i recommend it with waves mercury)

and you got yourself a homebased recording studio!

this dude got more blah blah than what the video is supposed to be about!!

  • @chocolatetoph You don't want to ask this guy.

  • thanks for the info about the diaphragm size and it's correlation to the different sound sources. I hadn't heard that anywhere before.
