It was a terrifying prospect, knowing what was about to happen to Him, yet He went through it. By faith, as we see in Hebrews 11, all the examples of trials and tribulations these people went through pale in comparison to the trials Jesus went through. That happened the first time with John the Baptist, which is why Jesus said John was Elijah, and, it will happen in the last days. Elijah first, Jesus next. Elijah won't come until the abomination of desolation takes place, after which Jesus returns 3 1/2 years later. And boy am I ready!!!!

Plus, this is 2010 and we're not in the tribulation yet, so I don't see how the 2016 date is going to apply. I plan to be Berean and do further research, and remind others to do the same.

What the Apostle Paul is speaking of is when Jesus will come to cloud level and those who are dead shall rises first then we who are alive. He does this so that we are not destroyed by the fire that God is sending to burn everything on the earth. Notice it says in the air and it at not imes says anything about heaven. The righteous shall inherit the earth not heaven. If you do not like your inheritance then you do not to accept it.
I could accept and believe this, but for one thing, he fails to mention or take into account the last 1000 years which Jesus rules with the saints. He acts as though it will never take place. I am sure that if he included Jesus' 1000 year reign he would find that his time line does not fit. He said if God said God will do it. God said there will be 1000 years in the which Jesus shall with the Saints here on the earth. Where does this man include that 1000 years?
He doesn't. That's not the focus of this presentation. The presentation is based on the return of Jesus, not the millenial kingdom following. Scripture clearly states the millenial reign will be after Jesus' return. Neither Dewey Bruten nor I believe in the rapture. Also, there is nothing in Scripture that states that the beast's mark is a day of worship, rather a literal mark in the flesh.
I can answer this ?. You are speaking of the millenial rein when we shall be with him in Glorified bodies, ruling and reining as Kings and priests. This will follow the return of the lord. It is not mentioned by Dewey because it is out of context in this time line. Go to Daniel 8:1-22, and add up the date from which the last of the "4 " who stand up in the rough Goats place to 2016 The date and name are seluecus1 Nicator died in 281 B.C. add one year for the turn of BC to AD. =2299 years.
This is a pretty impressive bit of detective work, well worth watching. One issue I have though is on the beginning of the timeline... if you take February 20, 2013 as the midpoint of the tribulation, and count back three-and-a-half years (1260 days, using 360-day biblical years) should put us in the vicinity of September 10, 2009 for the time when the 7-year peace treaty should be signed with Israel. So either I missed something, or the narrator miscalculated, or it all starts pretty soon!
That may very well be, remember the Jewish New Year starts at Rosh Hashana in September this year on Friday 18th (first night of the New Year), which will also be the start of a Normal Shabbat and a New Year... One week discrepancy between this day and your date... not bad going I would say!
Well now it is mid-November 2009. The speaker on this video series has stated that he believes the mid-point of the 7-year tribulation is February 20, 2013. Take 3.5 years, or 1260 days from that , and you will see that you end up in Mid October, 2009. This means that the speaker's theory must be wrong, because there has not been a peace treaty, which is supposed to kick off the 7 year tribulation.
All I can say is, "Excpet those days be shortened..." I think there is something important people tend to forget when looking at "the numbers". Those days will not go to the fullest extent of the prophecy of Daniel, because Jesus Himself says those days will be shortened. Think about this, too: There is a world treaty up for signature in Copenhagen, being held 12/7-12/14 of '09. Many think the "shortening" of days will be 45 days, so count back from Dec. Just something I have pondered :)
Can i ask you something? Have u received the Holy Ghost like they did on the day of Pentecost? Do u understand that there is a different in National Israel and the Church? Yes! But I believe that the narrator did not present a date for any treaty signing. In fact I am not sure that dewey believes it is a treaty. I don't think it has ti be it could be a global agreement and it could be a un declaration, Just like the one that reestablished the country Israel. @3dcognition Consider this: No where does it say "peace treaty". It says "covenant" and it does not say "sign". SO many have in fact believed someones study that inaccuratly stated "sign", "peace treaty". With a bit more detective work and the Holy Spirit, you will realize that Daniel chapter 8 speaks of a period of time at the end of 2300 days=6.4 years. Now subrtact that time frame form the suggested date. Who confirmed a Treaty from the past on that date in 2010? HINT-It was with many nations

I think we're well into the first 3 1/2. People are watching for this "peace treaty", but the "treaty" is already in place, and in '09, there was nothing more than a simple confirmation of it. Daniel did not write that this confirmation would be known to the world, so I'm betting it was done in secret.

It starts at sundown on Friday and goes until sundown on Saturday. The EVENING and the MORNING were the first day. Not sunrise to sunset, but sunset to sunrise- that is the order of the day. According to God our Creator, the day begins when the sun sets. :)
No offense, this all good and fine but...didn't God say no one will know the second coming of Jesus neither the angels in Heaven but only Him, or something along those lines? If so...then why are we trying to figure it out or even worse saying we know? If you'll watch the whole series, you'll understand more clearly what is going on, and what phrases mean what, according to Jesus own words, and what meant what when He said them. And actually, knowing when He is coming back for us HIGHLY affects the picture in the finest sense of the word!

The beast that rises up on of the water and blasphems God has already done so and the mark of the beast is already upon many people. The beast is the Pope, Holy Roman Catholic Church and the mark of the beast is the first day sabbath that all Catholics and christians keep holy every week instead of the seventh day sabbath that God commandmed.
I've seen the whole timeline... The Lord has not given us His word for us to try to figure out a long time in advance the date of His return. He has given us definite signs that we are to watch for, and we must stay awake morally and spiritually. This combination is the Lord's way to prepare us, not mathematics. Date setting has been going on for ages. Many have tried, all coming to nothing. People would rather watch for a given day than watch in the manner the Lord taught us. Read Luke 21:8 !
it is now 2009 on the gregorian calendar this translates to the year 5769 on the hebrew calendar. this is reckoned from adam. except the Lord said "be ready" and "watch" i might be tempted to relax for another 231 years until the 6000 yrs is up.

First, this timeline does appear to line up with the scriptures. i downloaded them and am studying them now. my statement was a caution to folk about getting complacent.
The bible makes no reference to how long adam lived before or after the fall but it does say in gen 5:5 "And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years" I don't think that "all" means after the fall. since this is the one of the numbers used establish the Hebrew calendar.
7:12 He reads it right off the screen as it is written in the Bible. It says "Declaring the end from the beginning." I would guess that HMMMMM....God is SHOWING US the END by the same pattern it was in the BEGINNING. What do you mean,"that was real slick"??
I agree. 2012 is based on the lunar cycles etc. But God's clock is not limited to his physical creation. I think the time is close and we should expect to see Jesus anytime... but I believe that things are going to get a lot worse before we are lifted off the earth. There are more people that The Lord will want saved and He will choose His time specifically to the millisecond. We could have quite a bit of time here yet... and Christians have a job to do here... and that is to Love one another.

I keep hearing people say this but I don't believe they have read about it. It does say there is a rapture in the bible. It does not call it "rapture" ... it is referred to as the second resurrection of the Spirit. Also, it talks about the Holy Spirit, the one who holds the evil one back, being lifted and all hell breaking loose on earth for a period of probably 7 years. If the Holy Spirit is within us and God is not a liar, then we should be lifted off the earth with The Holy Spirit.

Your wrong. We are living in the dispensation of grace, 1Cor. 15:1-4. The Church (the Body of Christ) is going to be raptured, the Apostle Paul makes that very clear in Thessolonians. All scripture is written for our learning, but not all is to us, the Church. Jesus in Matthew to John is preaching the gospel of the Kingdom to Israel, the Apostel Paul (our Moses) is preaching the Gospel of Grace given to him by the assended Lord. that is the only Gospel that saves today

The Tribulation is at hand: summer 2009- summer 2016
Winter solstice 2012 is just the midpoint of this 7 year period called "the abomination that causes desolation" (subtract 1260 days to find the start and add 1260 days to find the end). Get saved and repent now and you will have nothing to fear. Now you can more easily decipher things like the Denver "airport" murals & the Georgia Guidestones.
The israelites were warned in Matt 24, and as well gentiles should take heed there also, because the word contains the salvation plan, and to reject it would be devistating, but the "one body' us saved today, are indeed promised a catching out, yes the entire bible was written "for" us, but not all "to" us.
Mousey, I don't read anywhere in Scripture that the Lord's next appearance will be before the tribulation. I came to the knowledge of the truth by trying to disprove a post-tribulation rapture. But, the more I searched and studied, the more fact-basis I found to show that His return will be at the end, not before. It took a long time to accept, as I had been raised since preschool to believe in the rapture, but now, the truth is so clear to me. Regardless of these differences, God bless you!
Yes I have watched the whole series of these videos and they are very interesting and I have sent some to friends. By watching them, I still can see the possibility of the rapture in them, by rightly dividing the Word and realizing that God is giving prophecy concerning the Nation of Israel, which is distinct from the Church. I also think that Daniel's prophecy has a double meaning, it also points to Christ first appearance 2000 years ago, to the day, Chuck Missler is right on that
I think you need to check out SaithTheLordMinistry, there is plenty of God given references for a pre trib rapture, by rightly dividing the Word of God, and the dispensations given, you will see that the dispensation of Israel as God's light to the world has been temporarily set aside, and the rapture is a mystery that Paul preached unto the Church, the dispensation we are now in.
See that's just it Mousey, they study diligently and persistently, but the key is right division, well, tomorrow, i will make them vids on this, I appreciate these people, they mean well, but I have seen to many teachers make the mistake of mixing the scriptures, God bless you mousey, you are just a jem of kindness.

I visited this guys web site. His theology is way off. He says the Holy Spirit is external not internal, etc. etc.
so that tells me alot about some of the rest of his theology. This guy is not rightly dividing the Word, and he is trying to apply what God gave to Israel. Daniel chapter 9, is Israel's guide for the tribulation period, Paul did not reveal the mystery of the Church given to him by God for many years later
I must respectfully disagree again. First, I don't believe that Daniel 9 or any part of Scripture was written only for certain groups of people. "All scripture is given for inspiration" was said to everyone, not certain readers. Second, God's Word says "The righteous shall never be removed." Third, the "moment we shall all be changed in the twinkling of an eye" will happen at the last trump, and there is only one last trumpet. It is sounded at Jesus' next return. Every eye will see Him.
Fourth, when "one is taken, the other left", Jesus was asked "Where shall they be taken"? The answer is not heaven, the answer is where the carcasses are. This passage refers to the wicked being taken out. Fifth, when we look throughout the history of the judgment of God, we see that the wicked are removed. Never the just. The same will happen in the future. Sixth, we are not destined to God's wrath, the wicked are.
We will meet Him in the air as He returns to lay waste to the wicked on this earth as He deals out His wrath. Seventh, the tribulation is *not* God's wrath, it is Satan's wrath on God's people. Jesus returns at the end at the Day of the Lord, that is the wrath we will be spared from. Eighth, God has done nothing, nor will he do anything in secret. Lastly, I would like to pose one question. It was a terrifying prospect, knowing what was about to happen to Him, yet He went through it. By faith, as we see in Hebrews 11, all the examples of trials and tribulations these people went through pale in comparison to the trials Jesus went through. That happened the first time with John the Baptist, which is why Jesus said John was Elijah, and, it will happen in the last days. Elijah first, Jesus next. Elijah won't come until the abomination of desolation takes place, after which Jesus returns 3 1/2 years later. And boy am I ready!!!!

@cismerc I have to agree with cismerc. The interpretation of some of the scriptures themselves are at question in my mind. I've only just watched the series, but found some of the logic shaky, too. Plus, this is 2010 and we're not in the tribulation yet, so I don't see how the 2016 date is going to apply. I plan to be Berean and do further research, and remind others to do the same.

I could accept and believe this, but for one thing, he fails to mention or take into account the last 1000 years which Jesus rules with the saints. He acts as though it will never take place. I am sure that if he included Jesus' 1000 year reign he would find that his time line does not fit. He said if God said God will do it. He doesn't. That's not the focus of this presentation. The presentation is based on the return of Jesus, not the millenial kingdom following. Scripture clearly states the millenial reign will be after Jesus' return. Neither Dewey Bruten nor I believe in the rapture. I have not seen one shred of evidence in this presentation that eludes to such a bit of garbage, either. Also, there is nothing in Scripture that states that the beast's mark is a day of worship, rather a literal mark in the flesh.

This is a pretty impressive bit of detective work, well worth watching. One issue I have though is on the beginning of the timeline... if you take February 20, 2013 as the midpoint of the tribulation, and count back three-and-a-half years (1260 days, using 360-day biblical years) should put us in the vicinity of September 10, 2009 for the time when the 7-year peace treaty should be signed with Israel. So either I missed something, or the narrator miscalculated, or it all starts pretty soon!

That may very well be, remember the Jewish New Year starts at Rosh Hashana in September this year on Friday 18th (first night of the New Year), which will also be the start of a Normal Shabbat and a New Year... One week discrepancy between this day and your date... not bad going I would say!

Well now it is mid-November 2009. The speaker on this video series has stated that he believes the mid-point of the 7-year tribulation is February 20, 2013. Take 3.5 years, or 1260 days from that , and you will see that you end up in Mid October, 2009. This means that the speaker's theory must be wrong, because there has not been a peace treaty, which is supposed to kick off the 7 year tribulation.

All I can say is, "Excpet those days be shortened..." I think there is something important people tend to forget when looking at "the numbers". Those days will not go to the fullest extent of the prophecy of Daniel, because Jesus Himself says those days will be shortened. Think about this, too: There is a world treaty up for signature in Copenhagen, being held 12/7-12/14 of '09. Many think the "shortening" of days will be 45 days, so count back from Dec. Just something I have pondered :)

Besides this, the Gregorian Calender has altered 'OUR' perspective of time and days...but the Lord works on HIS Timing..something that was lost also by Rabbinical Judaism when they stopped watching the "signs" in the heavens for the commencements of His Holy Days...so we can leave open a few months even for discrepancies...

I don't think it has ti be it could be a global agreement and it could be a un declaration, Just like the one that reestablished the country Israel. @3dcognition Consider this: No where does it say "peace treaty". It says "covenant" and it does not say "sign". SO many have in fact believed someones study that inaccuratly stated "sign", "peace treaty". With a bit more detective work and the Holy Spirit, you will realize that Daniel chapter 8 speaks of a period of time at the end of 2300 days=6.4 years. Now subrtact that time frame form the suggested date. Who confirmed a Treaty from the past on that date in 2010? HINT-It was with many nations

I think we're well into the first 3 1/2. People are watching for this "peace treaty", but the "treaty" is already in place, and in '09, there was nothing more than a simple confirmation of it. Daniel did not write that this confirmation would be known to the world, so I'm betting it was done in secret.

The beast is the Pope, Holy Roman Catholic Church and the mark of the beast is the first day sabbath that all Catholics and christians keep holy every week instead of the seventh day sabbath that God commandmed.

I've seen the whole timeline... The Lord has not given us His word for us to try to figure out a long time in advance the date of His return. He has given us definite signs that we are to watch for, and we must stay awake morally and spiritually. This combination is the Lord's way to prepare us, not mathematics. Date setting has been going on for ages. Many have tried, all coming to nothing. People would rather watch for a given day than watch in the manner the Lord taught us. Read Luke 21:8 !

it is now 2009 on the gregorian calendar this translates to the year 5769 on the hebrew calendar. this is reckoned from adam. except the Lord said "be ready" and "watch" i might be tempted to relax for another 231 years until the 6000 yrs is up.

First, this timeline does appear to line up with the scriptures. i downloaded them and am studying them now. my statement was a caution to folk about getting complacent.
The bible makes no reference to how long adam lived before or after the fall but it does say in gen 5:5 "And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years" I don't think that "all" means after the fall. since this is the one of the numbers used establish the Hebrew calendar.

I agree. 2012 is based on the lunar cycles etc. But God's clock is not limited to his physical creation. I think the time is close and we should expect to see Jesus anytime... but I believe that things are going to get a lot worse before we are lifted off the earth. There are more people that The Lord will want saved and He will choose His time specifically to the millisecond. We could have quite a bit of time here yet... and Christians have a job to do here... and that is to Love one another.

I keep hearing people say this but I don't believe they have read about it. It does say there is a rapture in the bible. It does not call it "rapture" ... it is referred to as the second resurrection of the Spirit. Also, it talks about the Holy Spirit, the one who holds the evil one back, being lifted and all hell breaking loose on earth for a period of probably 7 years. If the Holy Spirit is within us and God is not a liar, then we should be lifted off the earth with The Holy Spirit.

Your wrong. We are living in the dispensation of grace, 1Cor. 15:1-4. The Church (the Body of Christ) is going to be raptured, the Apostle Paul makes that very clear in Thessolonians. All scripture is written for our learning, but not all is to us, the Church. Jesus in Matthew to John is preaching the gospel of the Kingdom to Israel, the Apostel Paul (our Moses) is preaching the Gospel of Grace given to him by the assended Lord. that is the only Gospel that saves today

There will be no rapture and you shall one of many who shall say, "Our Lord delays His coming." When you see that you have not been taken from the earth. You need to do more indepth study on the rapture doctrine. Look at both sides and check the scriptures each give to support what they say. Ask your self this question, Why did Jesus answer like this, "Where the birds of prey are there shall the corpse be." If He was refering to His body which is and always will be alive and well never dead.

The israelites were warned in Matt 24, and as well gentiles should take heed there also, because the word contains the salvation plan, and to reject it would be devistating, but the "one body' us saved today, are indeed promised a catching out, yes the entire bible was written "for" us, but not all "to" us.

Mousey, I don't read anywhere in Scripture that the Lord's next appearance will be before the tribulation. I came to the knowledge of the truth by trying to disprove a post-tribulation rapture. But, the more I searched and studied, the more fact-basis I found to show that His return will be at the end, not before. It took a long time to accept, as I had been raised since preschool to believe in the rapture, but now, the truth is so clear to me. Regardless of these differences, God bless you!

Yes I have watched the whole series of these videos and they are very interesting and I have sent some to friends. By watching them, I still can see the possibility of the rapture in them, by rightly dividing the Word and realizing that God is giving prophecy concerning the Nation of Israel, which is distinct from the Church. I also think that Daniel's prophecy has a double meaning, it also points to Christ first appearance 2000 years ago, to the day, Chuck Missler is right on that

I think you need to check out SaithTheLordMinistry, there is plenty of God given references for a pre trib rapture, by rightly dividing the Word of God, and the dispensations given, you will see that the dispensation of Israel as God's light to the world has been temporarily set aside, and the rapture is a mystery that Paul preached unto the Church, the dispensation we are now in.

I visited this guys web site. His theology is way off. He says the Holy Spirit is external not internal, etc. etc.
so that tells me alot about some of the rest of his theology. This guy is not rightly dividing the Word, and he is trying to apply what God gave to Israel. Daniel chapter 9, is Israel's guide for the tribulation period, Paul did not reveal the mystery of the Church given to him by God for many years later

I must respectfully disagree again. First, I don't believe that Daniel 9 or any part of Scripture was written only for certain groups of people. "All scripture is given for inspiration" was said to everyone, not certain readers. Second, God's Word says "The righteous shall never be removed." Third, the "moment we shall all be changed in the twinkling of an eye" will happen at the last trump, and there is only one last trumpet. It is sounded at Jesus' next return. Every eye will see Him.

Fourth, when "one is taken, the other left", Jesus was asked "Where shall they be taken"? The answer is not heaven, the answer is where the carcasses are. This passage refers to the wicked being taken out. Fifth, when we look throughout the history of the judgment of God, we see that the wicked are removed. Never the just. The same will happen in the future. Sixth, we are not destined to God's wrath, the wicked are.

We will meet Him in the air as He returns to lay waste to the wicked on this earth as He deals out His wrath. Seventh, the tribulation is *not* God's wrath, it is Satan's wrath on God's people. Jesus returns at the end at the Day of the Lord, that is the wrath we will be spared from. Eighth, God has done nothing, nor will he do anything in secret. Lastly, I would like to pose one question. What will you do when all the prophesied events occur, and you're still here? What will have to happen for you to realize that the rapture was a lie, perpetrated by the Jesuits and the Illuminati? What will you do when H.A.A.R.P. and Project Bluebeam stage a false rapture?

yes, like I told gracetalks, the other theology doesn't line up, so that gives rise to make this suspect as well. The prophecies given to Israel, were to warn THEM, when they are in the tribulation, the Church will not be in the tribulation, so Israel indeed will be given scriptures to determine the beginning and end of the tribulation, specifically the countdown starts with the antichrist signing the pact with Israel
