why do some teams have fc in there names when in the us the sport is called soccer??? if your gonna be stupid and have teams with fc in their name chabge the leage name to mlf
@djspy2007sag I realize that this was a while ago, but Jason does know his shit, he said during THAT debate that on THAT day Real Salt Lake is the best, overall when you look at the teams at the end of the season he stated that Columbus had the better depth, and LA does rely on Buddle and Donovan a lot these days, and Columbus proved they can come from behind and not just tie, but win. I agree with Jason completely, at that point in time the top three teams in MLS: Columbus, LA, and RSL.
@iamthewanganator Haha, right? But if you take a look at the behind the scenes ep. of debate team you see greg giving out the side of opinions to the guys. otherwise the show would be called Team of Agreements.
Columbus IS better off the bench than any squad in MLS. So, as Jason said, over the course of a long season depth will play a major role in L.A.' success. Simon: "Don't discount the professional track record of these guys." Track. Record. History. In other words he is saying based on what some of L.A.' veterans have achieved in the past, they have more depth than Columbus. L.A. has 8 guys 30+ vs. the 4 of Columbus.
@ejyounggun08 I agree that LA have veterans on the team but look at the rest of the squad. Juninho is 21, Leonardo is 22, Bowen in 19, Gonzalez is 21 and other in their early twenties. They have a perfect mix between veterans and "rookies". They have people to take charge because of experience and the younger ones to learn from that.
Simon Borg deserves more attention and should be on ESPN for US/MLS games. Best analyzer and commentator on MLS/U.S. games/teams. Jason, he's just an idiot. First he putting Crew in there, but then says RSL is the best, then says Crew can win this year!??! I hope Simon busted his head after the vid was done.
@Alex703rockstar Also, while Jason's points were valid, many of them are predicting what COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN instead of basing his argument on what HAS HAPPENED.
And the Galaxy is a deep team, I don't know what Jason is talking about there.
@Alex703rockstar I totally agree with you man. If Jason doesn't think the Galaxy have a deep roster what about the 3 new brazilians? What about the fact they are starting Stephens and Bowen who are both under 20 years old? Thats still not looking at other people like Gordon, Klien and several other people. Jason is just full of crap and doesnt know it =P
Don't tell me that's fighting spirit because a lot of luck is involved without question. In the other game against Real, their winner was a Schelotto penalty. And of course, all of these 3 games came at home. The Crew have never travelled convincingly in their entire MLS history and so their ability to perform on the road is up the air. For the Galaxy, stretching back to last season, they have lost just 1 of 14 on the road.
Today, right now, clearly LA Galaxy are the better team. 8 wins, 2 draws, undefeated, scoring 16 and conceding just 2 over the course of 10 games. Don't tell me the Galaxy is a one-man team because Edson Buddle has 9 goals to his name with just a third of the season played. Columbus registered 3 single-goal wins against Real Salt Lake, New England Revolution and Chivas USA and in 2 of those games (against the Revs and Chivas) they relied on injury-time winners.
i hate when people say "did you watch the game?" or "do you watch the games?" when talking soccer.

While I think the Crew could possibly beat the Galaxy, the Galaxy are definitely a stronger team.
