  • Work on some stage awareness/presence. You have skill but you have no groove. The audience isn't looking for speed but the feeling/emotions. No groove means people walking away even if you have some skill.

  • good job big bro

    ~emma

  • how long play you the bass guitar ?????

  • Whats' with the camera?

Oh well, at least this guy playing definatly has a pocket!

  • Fucking awesome man, for sure.

  • Good Man!! Great!!

    I'm Brazilian!

    Bye!

  • stage presents gets a low rating, but the rest was kick ass.. tempo was too fast. but dont get me wrong, it was still amazing!

  • In his defence, it was a High School talent show in Goddard, Kansas. lol He raped that bass, man.

  • lol that wuz lionmania i went to it and my sis is a senior their

  • Man, that was awesome. O.K. I seen you used the book for the Victor Wooten licks but how did you learn the Stu Hamm licks starting around 3:18

  • The country music lick is easy to learn by ear. Tap C on the A string (3rd fret), then C and G together on the C and D string (17th frets), then G on the E string (3rd fret), then C and G together on the C and D string (17th frets) again. Give that a shot and the rest should be easy to figure out by ear.

  • how do u play Norweigan Wood without tuning to a tenor bass?? what key do you play it from??

  • You can still play Norweigan Wood on a regular E A D G tuned bass. It is played the exact way as the A D G C tuning, the only difference is it sounds lower.

  • Woah O_O

    stunning. Just plain awesome.

How did you learn how to play the part at 1:26 ?

I just cant keep strumming, and tapping at the same time without screwing up.

    Anyways, great preformance <3

  • i explained in the last comment i left how i learned how to play it (i started by using to two-hand tap). it took a long time to learn and a lot of concentration but you'll get it eventually.

  • He's been playing for what, two 1/2 years?

  • i got that book, but i really can't figure out how to play the overtones in the chorus, could you give me some advice?

  • the way i learned to play the overtones was i origanally started using the two-hand tap method. i used my right hand to play the high notes, and left hand to play the low notes. it helped develop how it should sound. then you can work up to only using the left hand to play the whole line.

  • how did you lern this? by ear or what?

    its great.

  • learn*

  • Thanks. Its out of the book "The Best of Victor Wooten: transcribed by Victor Wooten"
