Actually, we don't. Yes, we know about Yamamoto's power, however, *SPOILER* if you read the manga, you'll know well that Ichimaru graduated from the Shinigami school in one year, and as soon as he entered the squads he was ranked 3rd seat, and finally, when Aizen became captain, he became Lieutenant and then Captain shortly after. You can also add that the episode where Aizen ran of to Hueco Mundo, he asked Gin to take action, and Ichigo and co. was lying down drooling just by his reiatsu.

You may also add that Ichimaru sent Ichigo flying away just by releasing his Zanpakuto, you've only seen Ichimaru releasing his Zanpakuto, not actually using it in combat, and to be honest, Yama-jii's release wasn't really that impressive, just some fireworks and that's about it. Seen his Bankai yet? No, Seen Gin's Bankai yet? No. So you can't conclude that Gin wouldn't stand a chance to win. He took Gin with him to Hueco Mundo didn't he? Then he HAS to be strong.

And, THE ONLY REASON, Kaname Tousen is on Aizen's side is because he's BLIND, if he wasn't, he'd sure be his enemy, no doubt. And I higly belive that Aizen could kill Yama-jii easily, remember how fast he dispatched Komamura Sajin?

yama-jii would beat aizen for sure...hes the freaking commander...he almost killed nanao (vice-captain) simply by looking at her..one slash of his sword sent 2 captains flying backwards and after almost dying nanao even said that there was no chance the two captains could be yama

no it was a gamecreated skill, but most people think thats gin skill in shikai that he shoot shinsou up in the sky and blades rain down or, or that he fire shinsou in the ground and many swords come up from the ground.
