@MoJoSama I dunno, maybe the elevator sybolizes that she rises to her challenges faster, and with more assurance vs. taking the stairs one step at a time to reach her destination. And I love the heavier version of this song - perhaps it means her burdens are getting "heavier" though she's reaching them "faster" (which is either a good or bad thing.) I guess she's leaving behind childhood even quicker now, and with less painstaking and slow steps - she can let go faster.

Akio reveals that all of it was all just an illusion he projected to show the fairy tale world they wished for. They were always just in the chairman's tower. Saionji was pretty much the smartest person in the show he pointed it out in Ep1. lol

@GannZott The arena is flat on top of a diagonal shaft. There is an angled shot of a straight shaft, but it still doesn't work right. I don't think we should talk architecture in a building that has an upside down sky castle, an underground dungeon in a building that burned down years ago but not really, and is capable of growing wheels to chase people who escape.

For Utena, they didn't repeat the scene just to save money. It adds to the motif of the constant cycle the characters have to go through. Utena is much more deeper that Sailor Moon~

I have no doubt that UTENA is much more deeper than sailor moon, however I don't think that they used the same secene everythime because they wanted to show a circle they could at least change it a bit for every battle for example they could throw rose petals from the tower with the color of the opponet
