  • I want to know if axolotls can actually develop into salamanders an whats the difference between a lizard and a salamander for that matter whats the difference between a skink and either?

  • Axolotls are salamanders. Strange ones, but salamanders just the same. They look like larval salamanders even though they are reproductively mature adults. This is because they don't completely metamorphose. If treated with certain hormones, they can metamorphose, but this usually doesn't happen in nature.

  • The difference between salamanders and lizards are many. But most importantly salamanders are amphibians that are more closely related to frogs than lizards. A clue to this is that salamanders lack scales. Newts are a kind of salamander and skinks are a kind of lizard. Hope that helps...
