i was glad tto finally find "flehmen' on this site. When the cat is "on stun" they are imprinting that memory into a part of the cat brain which they can access in the future with likely the exact same feelings as felt originally.

I guess when they want to smell something correctly they open their mouth. I think it helps them somehow. Our cats do that when they smell on interesting and hard smelling stuff. =/
