  • awesome man. The backflip x-wing (i'm sure that's not what it's called) was cool looking. I can't even do jumps without landing wrong. lol.

  • Aren't you penalized in mogul comp. if your feet go above your head off the ramps?

  • school level moguls

  • nope

  • funny, some surprisingly good advice here from folks, you usually dont see that.

  • i otta try that on my snowboard XD!!

  • interesting technique. quite light, almost squirrlly with his tips; but makes up for it with incredibly tight mid-ski and tail control. I'd say as a coach he has to work the entire ski a bit more aggressively (I mean, he makes it look easy, and it ain't -- but there's always room for improvement). This will especially translate to the narrows and the chutes he'll inevitably be heli skiing into in AK or other far parts of the world when he gets older.

  • im u need to be more direct downhill which will make u faster

  • that's exactly what I was thinking. Wow. the countdown is really fast. In the east region they count pretty slow. I usually start on Two or One.

  • Thats how you ride mogels in the comp watch yhe olympics

  • haha you do carve in moguls. Good job with the hands but it's to slow and you should try putting your weight over the front of your skis as you get over the mougul. most important is you got to wait a little bit longer before you turn that way you won't be so slow

  • Maybe YOU can't carve in bumps, but real skiers can and do, especially in icy, uneven bumps, not like these very even competition carved bumps.

I suppose next you will tell us you can't carve in breakable crust... again, maybe YOU can't.

  • but mabe because i am a competetive bumps skiier who only skis on a even competition bumps. and because im an aussie i only ski on wet bumps. and u dont carve otherwise u wont be skiing a direct line. u edge in the side of the bumps but u dont do a carving turn in the bumps. and gate bashing is super bad for ur style

  • well real skiers can ski anything.

  • just to let u know the aussie mogul team is one of the best in the world, and a little person called dale begg smith is an aussie

  • it sounds like you dont know what you are talking about to me. It takes more than three days to learn to how to do gates properly, and a lot of pratice to be able to point your skis straight downhill properly, else its the ambulance for you

  • any1 know if steamboat has any box rails or flat boxes?

  • Chill 123 Joyjoy is right! Lots of potential but you can see the snow kicking up when the tails slide. Also you appear sluggish during the run because you are back a little, critics abound but as for me I want you to be great, maybe kick some butt in the Olympics!I am too old for the back flips, great job!!!

  • nice stick on the 2nd back flip

  • You're smooth, but sliding your tails, which is intermediate technique. Spend some time learning how to carve (run gates, etc.) before "cheating" in the bumps. Otherwise you'll hit a dead-end with nowhere to go. Also, you're back a bit - keep ankle pressure on the front of your boots with your tips pointing downhill. Again, very smooth, which means good balance and lots of potential.

  • Pretty smooth, but you've got a ways to go on technique - sliding your tails big time. A good turn is carved, but of course lots of mogul skiiers cheat on this to keep the speed up. But I'd suggest running gates for a few months to really learn how a turn works before you go down this road. Otherwise, you'll get stuck in a rut with nowhere to go.

  • Doin good. Keep your skiis more strait down hill on the moguls. I thnk thats what weily23 was saying.keep it up though.

  • keep it up man, you have a lot of potential here. Get those tips pointed more down the fall line, solid airs though, very nice
