Human sexuality has had thousands of variations from the beginning of time, and societal and cultural attempts to curb or control or normalize it have always failed. Thirdly, fulfillment and success are things that come from within, not from other people. They can help you but they can't do it for you.

These desires stem from innate tendencies. Attempts at ignoring them will only lead to unhappiness :)

This movie shows a time when sexual morality was something important, because people understood that true happiness comes from doing things the right way. Nowadays it's assumed that young people will have sex with countless others and be involved with porn. But they are left empty, not fulfilled. Using the values in this show is a recipe for success.

@phil8888 First of all, I think promiscuity is really not as rampant as you think it is. Second, what "right way" are you talking about? Human sexuality has had thousands of variations from the beginning of time, and societal and cultural attempts to curb or control or normalize it have always failed. Thirdly, fulfillment and success are things that come from within, not from other people. They can help you but they can't do it for you.
So in short chill out and stop judging "young people."

@llcdrdndgrbd I do not doubt that there are many societal values. Monogamy has traditionally been valued, as has male-female marriage. The human person is configured a certain way. Think of the woman who believes she is sexually liberated but whose heart is nonetheless broken when a man uses her sexually then abandons her. Think too of our need for long lasting relationships. These desires stem from innate tendencies. Attempts at ignoring them will only lead to unhappiness :)

@phil8888 Monogamy and male-female relationships have been traditionally valued by CERTAIN traditions, not all, and personally I don't think there's just one way to happiness. I believe in taking responsibility for sex. That doesn't necessarily mean being abstinent until marriage. Think of the state marriage is in this country; any sexual relationship makes one vulnerable, and marriage is not a foolproof way to eliminate those vulnerabilities. But I actually think this video is sort of sweet.
