yeah i kno...its just that you need a different driver... I did it sucessfully after I asked the question...You need the program game pad pro...its pretty straight forward from there...Ill make a vid of it shortly.
Use two programs one really simply called "Xbox 360 controllers" it will let you use 360 controllers on you mac. The other is called "game pad companion" it lets you map the whole "Red is the a button B" or whatever you so choose. Look at my Video and read the info it has a blog with all the info and comment it if it helps you please. PS VERY IMPORTANT must have garage band 08 or you have to use another program called "midi keys" to get it to work.

I did this, but with the GH2 X-plore guitar. It workd pretty cool, i maneged to create a pretty descent song.
