  • @duckdown. Do your homework before making silly comments.

  • Sam Harris is a 21 century zionist jew. He doesn't believe in the mythology of the abarhamic religions and he has no problem critizing religious countries but i have never heard him once criticize Isreal for their ethinic cleasing.

  • @duckdown1993 You really are a fool. Pundits? First off, Hitchens was given the Richard Dawkins award BY Richard Dawkins. Hitchens, when he was alive, did more for the cause than anybody but the other three. To say what you said is a fucking joke. I already explained your ignorance about Sam. Wow.

  • @duckdown1993 You're kidding right? Sam Harris has a degree in philosophy, from

Stanford no less, and a doctorate in neuroscience. Journalist? Not even close. Don't spread misinformation, that's just like the religious do.

  • i'm going on amazon and getting that book of his!

  • Mr. Harris is wrong about the prohibition in Leviticus. Young's Literal Translation puts the passage in question as: "And with a male thou dost not lie as one lieth with a woman; abomination it is." Once you understand that the Levites were a priestly caste system, this prohibition makes MUCH MORE SENSE. It's a prohibition against MMF threesomes. Paternity was important to these people, and they couldn't just go get a DNA test to make the determination. MFF threesomes don't suffer this.

  • @EnnoiaBlog assuming this is the case, isnt it the mm part of this combination that is abomination? and as such any combination of M and M is abomination? as you say it claims MMF is abomination but not MFF, but so MMMF is okay? or MMM is okay? it seems clear its prohibiting any kind of MM including MM itself

  • @Keldrath The Levitical tribe is a patrilineal tribe. They are worried about children being born where the father's identity is in doubt. A Levite would also be forbidden to have sex with a woman who is sexually ACTIVE with other men as well. For the same reason. The baby's father would not be identifiable, and the integrity of the patrilineal line breaks down.

  • @EnnoiaBlog ah i see.

  • He's a much better talker than Dawkins.

  • @TwistedLemniscate

Yep, except Dawkins is an actually an accomplished scientists and knows what he's talking about and doesn't just rail against religion because he has some personal vendetta against it. Sam Harris is a journalist yo, Hitchens is a journalist, Dennett is a philosopher which is pretty much the same thing as being a journalist. I'll get my information from Dawkins thank you very much.

  • @duckdown1993 I'd prefer to listen to Dawkin too. I was merely stating that Sam is better with words.

  • @TwistedLemniscate

He's a better debator to be sure, so is Hitchens. Honestly, Dawkins gets destroyed in a lot of these debates but he presents the most incredible and occasionally terrifying ideas...he doesn't really flesh them out very well but he presents them for us to take up and think about by themselves. That's why I would consider him to be a true loss. Chris and Sam are just pundits - nothing more.

  • @duckdown1993 FYI

Sam Harris is a neuroscientist... received a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA in 2009

  • I'm pretty sure that in 20 years we'll have self aware computers.

  • religious people are idiots and it painfully shows in their arguments

  • @JuanchoMan

My why a tolerant and sensitive person atheism has made you!!!

  • @duckdown1993 I was an asshole before I was an atheist you narrow minded fuck.

  • He also happens to be quite handsome.

  • Comment removed

  • Even if god was real I'd oppose him. I don't want to spend an eternity with that asshole from the old testament.

  • @jomex1972 I think I always was an atheist, but Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens and richard Dawkins confirmed it for me. Welcome to the free world!

  • brilliant points made

  • just read End of Faith and now an atheist! wow this book should have been published two decades ago, now I am 40!

  • Well, this will always be the plight of the intelligent person. They will always be outnumbered 20 to 1 by crazy people that believe if they just believe there is a being in the sky looking out for their eternal future. Then when you come at them with solid arguments they will reply "I'm going to pray for you". It's the same idea when you try to explain to a child that santa claus doesn't exsist. They don't want to believe that their parents would lie to them about something like that and deny.

  • I think I'm sexually attracted to Sam Harris' words and ideas.

  • Comment removed

  • @aaronrettig HAHAHA! i feel that. my buddy and I say he gives us mental orgasms :) hahah hes fucking awesome

  • @aaronrettig Ya, he and Hitchens give me mental wood.

  • This speach is just brilliant and relates to reality and the world we live in today, then i read comments down here and see what religious people write down.... It makes me sad it really does to see how brainwashed people can be. Its not moral to sleep with another mans wife or take your neighbors possesions. But it is ok that thousands die in genocide and starvation in third world countries! Its all just gods plan yallll ! durrrrrrrr

  • "there is a reason why we dont talk about christian physics and muslim mathematics" amen!

  • Well I feel better. It's about time somebody said that!. gold.

  • The point he makes around 20 minutes is incredibly spot-on!

  • Sam Harris looks and sounds like Ben Stiller

  • Sam is able to articulate in words what I've been feeling for years.

  • @piazzaj88 I feel the same, he is so clear and spot on.

  • Sam Harris is one of the the greatest minds in America right now, and has saved my ex catholic ass on more than one occasion, THANK YOU SAM! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

  • Man founded religion. A faith in god. He was wrong.

Everyone that believes in this man made "GOD" is an unfortunate victim.

God cannot be proven, therefore probably doesn't exist.

Even if this entity did exist, we are all parts of it.

So why worry? Why base you day to day on this? You shouldn't.

But then again, you can't argue a rational debate with crazy people, and religious people are crazy by definition.

  • Pound-for-pound, nobody can match Sam Harris...he's got the smartest answers to the most important questions. He offers up perfect analogies with an impeccable vocabulary & always remains on-point! Too many people give the fundamentalists a free pass for believing in nonsensical notions without truly realizing that those same fundamentalists (along with Jerry Springer viewers) make up the majority of the voting public. It's time for the average man to rise beyond supernatural shenanigans...

  • Sam really talked more sense in 20 minutes than any preacher has ever said in 20 years.

  • @GodlessHappyAndFree 20 years? More sense than every preacher has said in 2000 years.

  • @GodlessHappyAndFree Amin my brother...just kidding....no really...

  • Sam Harris needs to take on St. Thomas Aquinas without a Dawkins straw man to show he's a heavyweight in his arm wrestle with the theists. I think Sam shows over and again with his red herrings that he's a lightweight.

  • You guys should throw God a 'Thanks' every so often. Without Him you wouldn't have anything worthwhile to complain about.

  • @johhnycarlos Are you mental?

  • @lazycackle No just stating the obvious kind sir or miss. Maybe a nice Hallmark card or something. One of those ones that plays a jingle.

  • sam harris

  • This man gets it! Religious babble is destroying the human race. The Universe hasn't a clue that we're here. Deal with it!

  • Lightandbeautiful!

Giving rights and family status to homosexuals, according to natural and moral order is wrong.

These people are not victims. They are perverted, immoral and evil people who chose their egoistic and hedonistic style of life. May God have mercy and give them grace to see themselves as they really are, perverted and therefore evil. Not only God but the nature condemns such misguided persons.

  • @franciszek8D '

STFU you fuckin selfrighteous fascist piece of reli-dogshit

You're the cancer of mankind, fuckface

  • @franciszek8D: "Jesus wants us to Love our enemies,"

    and then:

"Giving rights and family status to homosexuals, according to natural and moral order is wrong."

You're one sick fuckin parasite, dipshit

  • Freethinksman!

There is a big difference between religions. I agree that Islam gives a bad publicity to all religions, that is why some people as Sam Harris condemns all religions.

It is true that Mahomet was not tolerant and preached violence. On the opposite, Jesus was a peaceful man. If only people and also we Christians strive to live according to His example and teaching then The world would be different. However Jesus Gospel-teaching is very demanding. Jesus wants us to Love our enemies,

  • God is energy and to be in tune with energy, you need to be in the same wavelength. The same with God, you need to be in His wavelength to be saved. Buddhists call it Nirvana or Enlightenment, Hindus call that Moksha, Islam calls it Taubah and we call it living in Grace. There is only one Divine Consciousness with many names and dogmas, but just one reality. You can be spiritual and be one with God consciousness without religion, but to get somewhere, a map is always helpful.

  • Take it off, Harris!

  • @franciszek8D. Your not talking about belief. You're talking about faith. Belief should be based on evidence or at least a reasonable application of common sense of the world as we know it. Faith is belief when there is no evidence, and in most cases, when there is considerable proof.to the contrary. It's a religious device developed by religions to convince you of something which is not true. I submit that nowhere else in life do you actually use faith. Unless your a fool.

  • It is true that Bible condemned homosexuality. That is why we believe That this special Book is inspired by God. If the Bible praised homosexuality, would you believe that it comes from God?

Bible also condemned abortion, killing innocent, adultery And so on. God is good And merciful, He loves people, even evildoers, but He in the same time really hates evil And will inflict punishment on all evildoers becouse He is also just.

Convert! Do good And avoid any evil, you evildoers if you want to

  • @franciszek8D You kind of missed the point. Converting to your religion is no more a pathway to what is true than conversion to any other theistic faith. They're all equal in a reasonable person's eyes (regarding truth). Granted, some preach more hate and intolerance than others, but none can be considered "true" if you use the same thought processes that get you through the day. Religions (as your post show) are intolerant and devisive. That's not a good way to live.

  • Why do people believe? Whatever they are not able to prove, they may believe. Some believe in God-creator, others in evolution. Nobody can prove the existence Of God; nobody proved evolution! you may believe that a fish long time ago left water And began live on land, then after long time it got wings And became a bird? Unbelievable! What about science? It may be usuful digging into matter. Spiritual realities are beyond science. Then, there is a place for any reasonable belief.

  • Did you get his pun? Harrisy

  • When will we wake up and shake off all this religious nonsense?

  • Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins and Cristopher Hitchens are my prophets. Fuck Jesus and Mohammed (the peado).

  • Religion teaches people to believe without question and to submit to the rule of an invisible space daddy that they must fear and love. It is disgusting for religious freaks to teach children that they will burn and suffer in hell if they dont believe what the Bible teaches. STAND UP PEOPLE AND THINK!!!!

  • That was great, especially the Hugg at the end. Show of compassion & respect to one another.

  • Very good Mr. Harris. Keep mocking God. It will be fun WHEN YOU DIE AND GO TO HELL!!!! USA USA USA!!!

  • @BigBagsForRent "It will be fun WHEN YOU DIE AND GO TO HELL"

A specific characteristic of psychopaths is being entertained by the suffering of others.

    Think about it.

  • @BigBagsForRent If you were to say that to Harris directly, he would verbally destroy you and put you in your place. Oh and btw, in a few decades you will no longer be chanting USA! USA!. Rather, you will soon be chanting: All hail our chinese masters, blissfull communism yay. The onus is on you to prove god exists (he doesn't btw) and you will never be able to prove it. You wan to worship your flying voodoo master, go ahead but i'll be living my life free and fullfilled as a non-believer.

  • @DivineLucifer666 Yeah I was just trolling, bro, I don't believe in any religion. You still sound like a self righteous little twit though.

  • @BigBagsForRent Ok then, hmmm. Regardless of that though, i admit that i can be a little conceited at times but i'm proud of it. You see, one must be arrogant when dealing with believers. Haven't they been doing it through the centuries? A lot of atheists come across as arrogant and smug. Rightly so because we know that we are the minority so the more intelligent of us arm ourselves with knowledge so that we may try to combat these self-rightgeous cocksuckers on their own ground. Troll away :]

  • @DivineLucifer666 Very good, sir!

  • This guy could be trying to convince the audience of the merit of eating dog crap, and with his elequent speaking style, manorisms, and elevated vocabulary I bet he could get a lot of people to agree with him.

  • @titans091052 I would be suprised if his eloguent speaking style could convince me if he said the story of Noa ´s ark is logical and true. People have some standards here, don t underestimate them. But it is true that he is a quite good speaker.

  • I'm a young atheist finding it impossible to combat evasive tactics on part of religious apologists to exempt religion from criticism. I can't judge a religion by what its adherents think or do b/c they all differ as to what they believe to be its central tenets, can't judge it by what texts say because I'm presenting passages out of context, reading them too literally, or it doesn't matter how I interpret them b/c everybody has got their own interpretation. Suggestions would be much appreciated

  • Yes, he did say it. The edict of the abomination homosexuality is ramified in Romans.

    XD

  • Is Truth really that hard to accept? The biblical God is a fabrication period. Deal with it and stop twisting your brain to convince yourself otherwise. Mr. Harris is spot-on!

  • 2. Cont> Science is just as presumptuous a human proposition and just as dogmatic and limited as a truth seeking method as a false religion. Science is only a sub-set of human philosophy but it's proposition as the sole truth mechanism discounts the very notion of truth in humanity and philosophy as no more than biochemical illusory. In this world-view philosophy has birthed a god called science which has proven it's own mother to be a myth! Cont>

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN "Science is just as presumptuous a human proposition and just as dogmatic and limited as a truth seeking method as a false religion" this is a demonstrably false claim. The Scientific method is fact-based, It's theories are a summary of the current state of human knowledge based on measurement and observation. It has nothing to do with faith, and 'belief' is the starting point, not the end point.

  • @eastjones

Science presupposes logical & mathematical truths so to try and prove them by science would be circular reasoning. In the special theory of relativity the whole theory hinges on the assumption that the speed of light is consent in a 1-way direction from any 2 points. Science can't answer questions of value as in good moral actions vs. evil actions. It can only disprove a free-will agent in human culpability to crime as mere biochemical illusion via it's limited view w/the 5 senses.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN science doesn't 'pre-suppose' mathematical truths 2 + 2 = 4 doesn't depend on any assumptions. As our observation and measurement of 'what is' gets more accurate, so do the scientific theories we use to define the universe we live in. Claiming that science cannot answer questions of morality is indeed an assumption, unlike the measurement of the speed of light. in any case it doesn't make science equal to religion for which there is zero observation and nothing to measure.

  • @eastjones

Prove 2+2=4 outside of mathematics if science does not presuppose truths in math? Science only utilises & gives credence to the 5 human senses in it's observations therefore it discounts human morality & values as mere opinion. Science can only disprove any assumed truths in morality as biochemical illusory by this limited world-view of truth in only the 5 human senses. Science CAN NEVER answer truths in regard to ought & ought nots like morality because of its very methodology...

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN because our evidence for scientific truth is limited to what we can detect with our 5 senses doesn't put science on an equal footing with god or gods, which we can't detect with or without our senses. saying science can NEVER answer truths about morality is a HUGE assumption. and regardless of pre-suppositions, 2 + 2 = 4 is a fact of the universe whether anyone is there to analyze it or not. There is no world view outside of what we can detect, it is a meaningless argument

  • @eastjones

Can science answer truth in what is prettiest color for a dress, of course not! This is not an assumption it's a true understanding of the limits of science and it's methodology and you are in error about what science can and can't do! If you think science can answer true facts in regard to morality give me a sample as to how science can or will find these truths in moral oughts and ought nots? How will it even go about this and where will it search for such truths with our 5 senses?

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN : Well... If you've ever heard Sam Harris' theory on free will it shows that science can answer truth in what is prettiest color for a dress. And Sam Harris also explains how science can answer true facts in regards to morality. And you're saying that you have a 6th sense that lets you find evidence of a mythical superbeing? Please be rational.

  • @kunou126

Sam Harris writes in his book and speaks in regard to human free-will that it is mere biochemical illusion. See "Sam Harris on The Illusion of Free Will -1/3" here on youtube and listen to all 3 parts. Calling free-will an illusion does not show truth in free-will, it falsifies free-will as untrue. I never stated a have a 6th sense nor did I claim to find evidence of a mythical superbeing. I do claim as do all Justice Systems that free-will self-evidently exists as more than illusion.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN If you listen to it again, he essentially states that conscious choice is something of an illusion. Long before someone consciously makes a decision there are several biological markers show a predisposition. Sam might describe "the truth in what is the prettiest color for a dress" as the color of a dress that creates a biomechanical positive predisposition in the most number of human beings.

  • @kunou126

If free-will is an illusion then how can Harris criticise any criminal act that is mere determinism? How can anyone be culpable for their actions in crimes if there's no real free-will in choice? Popular vote doesn't make the torture & murder of innocent children wrong, this is wrong no mater if 99% of adults believe it to be ok. Should we punish child murders then, if so why & for what? Is the justice system & equality built on illusion? That's a moral landscape I never want to see!

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN

You assume that you cannot hold someone responsible for something they had no control over, and given the current assumptions you have about morality and justice, you would be right. However, when you stop and make the scientifically moral choice: you imprison them so that their predisposition to hurt children no longer represents a threat to children. "Justice" is longer about punishment of actions, but rather of simply doing the right thing.

  • @eastjones OK, good conversation btw. the prettiest color is obviously in the senses of the beholder and no one else can ever answer that. re: science & morality, any species that regularly killed it's members would go extinct, Even when competing for mates or food, the battle stops short of 'murder'. 'do not murder' is an inherent trait in all species. all moral choices come from within. even if directed by a deity we can choose to disobey, hence all moral decisions are made internally

  • Believe in God because it helps you, then fine, do it if you want but don't pretend to know anything you don't about what God wants. There's a proverb I found that pretty much sums this religion thing up. "Beware of a man of one book."

It's not the belief itself, it's what people then do because of that belief... at least, that's what I see. They take it a step further, believing that if God exists, then the religious texts they want to be right & taught to be right, in fact are.

  • In this world there are two classes of men: Intelligent men without religion, and religious men without intelligence.

  • This man may be the catalyst for change. Dawkins and Hitchen tend to belittle religion and come across as arrogant. Harris discusses the real issues that religion involves and dissects the arguments very neatly. The diamond in the backyard is something to remember. These rebuttals are so precise and really find the crux of the matter. Brilliant.

  • Imagine this man as the president of the USA. He could do so much good in this world.

  • Sam harris is an ass!

  • Flyer54us... funny how a religious person speaks of circular arguments. Does this sound familiar, "I know the Bible is the word of God... it says so right in the Bible"

  • @sleepyeyeguy You have hit on the problem with evolutionists..its either Biblical or atheistic, because you dont like religous (ie Christians) you must defend evolution at all costs..Is it possible to do the science with out pretense of a religous or atheistic persective and let the chips fall where they may? I will also note that the science of evolution in this thread is defended by insults rather then actual science

  • @analubalitious If evolutiion explains the natural world today, explain the Cambrain? Evolution should happen over time with a linier and predictable progresion. It does not. All 32 body types where in existance by the middle of the Cambrain period, and no changes have taken plave since then. It is a massive hole in evolutionary thinking. We have transitions, however it entails a LOSS of RNA/DNA...not a net gain. For evolution to work you must have a way to incorporate NEW RNA. Fantasy

  • @flyer54us From what I understand, O2 levels in the atmosphere reached a critical level and acted like rocket fuel for multi-cellular life. And no, not "all 32 body types" formed right then - where's my Cambrian rabbit? Also remember that the Cambrin explosion happened over the course of several million years, not the blink of an eye you seem to imply.

  • @analubalitious It was a "blink of an eye" in terms of evolution..much to fast for random mutations to have an effect O2 or not. The body type for rabbits was avalible by the end of the epoch. This is all assuming that mutations even can be benificial..which we have never observed in nature. It is a theory that has a circular argument: because "this" exists "that" MUST have been true is science built on a one card house

  • @flyer54us **Sigh, This is not my area of expertise, nor am I interested in an argument with an imbecile. Genetics has already proven evolution beyond any reasonable doubt, but if you really want to hear the arguments in favor of evolution, I can recommend Thunderfoot's video series called "why people laugh at creationsists"

If, however, you're not interested in an education and just want to bicker - you won't get it from me.

  • @analubalitious Do innane insults turn up in your research? Can you offer any of this genetic proof? No scientist worth his salt accepts at face value any theory..and evolution is indeed a theory NOT a law. Here are some things to look into...how blood clotting evolved, the formation of the knee structure, how genetic similarities occur in species from differing kingdoms, or irreducible complexity of some microbs. You need some education yourself

  • @flyer54us . You actually managed to say "Irreducible complexity" as if you believed it to be something other than complete bullshit, and then tell others to "educate themselves?" Oh the irony.

  • @bary1234 Your arrogance must be a sign of some true knowlage right? Just the snappy insult is enough to carry the day. Tell me do you salivate when someone rings Darwins bell like the rest of your group think automatons?? Blood clotting cascade was such a problem for you idiots that the "new" idea is homoerectus was a different species that merged w/ homosapien to gin up another explaination tidy to you..thus breaking the missing link..LOL

  • @flyer54us : There is no irreducible complexity.

So you follow jebus? You have any evidence for jebus or do you admit you are superstitious.

  • @bary1234 Is your world still flat too? Whats does Jebus or Jesus have to do with this argument..they are separate issues. My point has been that modern science is political, and not scientific. Just ask Thomas Huxley. BTW you have evidence IC does not exist? How do the same genes devolop in speices of differing kingdoms..meaning they split in the so called darwinian tree of life before they devoloped, or even had the beginins of the same genes?

  • @flyer54us : So you admit you hold a superstition. Do you think superstition is valuable? How about giving it up and just enjoying reality while you can?

Almost everything is political, your superstition is also political. We are tiny primitive mammals, human nature can not be dismissed easily.

Do I have evidence to prove a negative? Off course I dont, its impossible to prove a negative. Do you have the evidence that there is no Superman? Do you therefore believe in Superman?

  • @flyer54us "How do the same genes devolop in spieces of differing kingdoms.."

That was interesting, I have no idea why that is. You want to make up a fantasy-explanation for it, say that it was done by a pink unicorn or blue zombie-jebus. Do you need me to point out why that explanation is retarded?

Scientists will try to actually find out why that is. That is much better way to think about things, that way we can actually learn something. Religion is superstition is useless.

  • @bary1234 I have to wonder about your reading comprehention, thus your base perception of reality. First, I have not introduced religon of any kind into this argument, you have. That exposes your motive, which seems to me NOT to be dispassionate obersavtion of science, but a volitile, and emotional rebuke of religon. Next you seems to rely more on "faith" then religous people do in "Scientists will try"...ect. When asked and you dont know..attack. How Machiavellian of you

  • @flyer54us : Yeah, religion is poison. Creationism is the pinnacle of human stupidity.

Its good you are embarrassed of your religion, thats the first step towards giving it up. You have a long way ahead of yourself, but you can do it. After all its just childhood indoctrination with lies. After you accept you were lied to, I´ve heard its easy from there on.

  • @bary1234 Really?! Can you read and understand? You are the sterling example of why modern science is political and not science. I make a statement to dare question darwinian evolution, and you go straight to *you luv jebus hu hu hu* I posed questions to which you either admit no answer, or take faith someone else does, but still find ingnorant arrogance to condem me for a part of my make up you know nothing about, as I have not shared that information, nor would I with a small brained troll

  • @flyer54us : Like is said, you are embarrassed to talk about your superstition, and that shame is a good thing. You might get better yet.

Good first step I think would be to remember who lied to you about gods and jebuses. When you remember who was that human, you can get some proper perspective on your religion. Its just humans, telling lies to other humans.

  • @bary1234 I see...I am sorry for calling you ignorant before, that implies a capacity to learn. You are clinicaly stupid. I suppose this garbage vid is as good a place as any to troll..knock yourself out

  • @flyer54us : So who brainwashed you? Was it your mother and father? Your teacher perhaps? Was it the priest who used to touch you?

  • @flyer54us Don't mean to get into another retarded YouTube comments argument, just wanted to call you out on your bullshit that there are no beneficial mutations. This guy for example has an additional, fully functional heart artery:

    watch?v=W9IOXiBCVbI

  • @flyer54us No thats not what evolution says, you're making shit up

There are plenty of species that have died off because one small swoop of a bad trait inherited.

Not all adapted traits are good, it is by Natural Selection that we are here today, each and every species.

  • @flyer54us You do not understand evolution....You made up a definition, and then tried to debunk your own opinion...There are many, many, many examples of "new" information generated through evolution..

The only fantasy is the world in which evolution deniers live...It is a fact, you have lost, by default...

There is so much evidence for evolution, there isn't a need for a single fossil anymore..

Molecular biology has proven the science beyond any shred of doubt...

    sorry...

  • @badtrunk456 Once again..there is overwhelming "proof", but none offered,..just overwhelming blowhard know nothing answers, coupled with insults. How bad I must feel suffering such intelectual insults. What is the "so much evidence"? This theory is only cut and dried in high school biology, not any any manner of real science.

  • @flyer54us Just read, or go to a museum, or talk to a biologist, geologist, paleontologist, embryologist, ect..

You don't get it...Evolution is a fact...You don't understand science, or theories, or reality apparently...

Not any matter of real science indeed...Just go to talkorigins . org, and read.

It's just pathetic that I wasted my time even responding....

    Trunk...

  • @flyer54us Evolution does not occur in a linear predictable manner. There have been periods of time where evolution is relatively stagnant and periods of accelerated evolution. Lots of variables...climate, population of species, abundance of food, predators ....etc.... This is recognized by the scientific community. It is not a "hole" in the theory. Who claimed that the rate should remain constant?

  • Sam Harris gives me brain erections.

  • @VoidedMirror spoken like a faggot

  • if he ever fails as an author, he can always do comedy. so many punchlines in a well delivered, serious speach.

  • 124 people don't like thinking.

  • Sam Harris is the Ben Stiller of intellect.

  • Context and an understanding of literary devices helps when you are studying the Bible, or any body of literature. To simply say that is what Jesus says in Luke 19 is such a gross misrepresentation of the text it is intellectually deplorable, and I think dishonest on Sam Harris' part.

  • "Human suffering, Animal suffering" Should of said, "Human suffering, and the suffering of other species"

  • I think i just learned like 50 new words hearing Sam harris talk. He has a very good vocabulary.

  • I wish girls would stop whoring themselves and start being more intellectual

  • @JohnF30Music

I know many smart girls, and there have been many that offered their intellect in relevant fields throughout history.

On an IQ level....woman on average are smarter than men. But the smartest women arent as smart as the smartest men. But the dumbest men are dumber than the dumbest women. lol

We owe a lot to our women :D, especially after oppressing them ...that never made sense to me...

we've held down the other half of our species for no reason...without them we cant exist

  • Sam thank you for your insights into reality. Many of us don't realize how religion affects us or don't care. We let others tell us how good religion is without questioning.

  • Sam Harris is a complete opportunist and charlatan. He has come to prominence by joining in the scapegoating of Muslims, and supporting the phony "war on terror". He has tried to co-opt the banner of atheism, science and progress, for predatory wars waged by the most powerful military nation in the world, against impoverished and historically oppressed nations. He should explain how the invasion of Iraq, the seizure of its oil, and the murder of a million innocent civilians aid human progress.

  • @mattandersonWSWS He was and is virulently against the war in Iraq, and the government leaders who started said war...As for scapegoating Islam, he is even fisted with all religion...If you can identify one falsehood coming out of his mouth, then do so, but calling one of the most respected neuroscientists in the the world a charlatan, really makes you look silly...Let me guess, your a theist...

  • @badtrunk456 Harris claims that Islam is a threat to the west, rails against the dangers of Muslim immigration, and has supported the predatory wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Coincidentally, he advanced these positions, and came to prominence, the same time the phony "war on terror" war began. eg "insofar as there is a crime problem in Western Europe, it is largely the product of immigration." Harris regularly talks about the war against the "Muslim world", a term with genocidal connotations.

  • @mattandersonWSWS Example; According to a 2010 Pew study, most Muslims in Jordan (86%), Egypt (84%), Pakistan (76%) and Nigeria (51%), not to mention 40% of the Muslims in Indonesia, think those who leave Islam should be executed. Similar figures in those countries support the stoning of people who have sex outside of marriage. A study conducted by Gallup two years ago found that 0% of British Muslims think that homosexuality is morally acceptable. Clearly, most Muslims are not 'moderates'.

  • @badtrunk456 only perverts and degenerates think homosexuality is acceptable.

  • @Trelli28 Only backward bigots, relics of the 4th century, think like you and your inbred kin..

Oh, and by the way, there are many studies that connect homophobia with those whom hate themselves for being gay...

Now, how does cock make you feel? Are you afraid of the feelings you have Trelli?

Just come out, you'll feel better....

  • @badtrunk456 your ignorance is astounding. male chickens make me feel they'd be delicious if cooked well. You make assumptions easily, don't you? You think I'm male, thus homosexual. Ignorant pervert. You're here on an atheist video spewing vitriol at religion. Does this imply that you are secretly a Pastor? You're imbecilic "logic". I'm not surprised homosexuals hate themselves; they know what they're doing is wrong.

  • @badtrunk456 I didn't use the word "homosexual", I used the word "gay"..This could be either sex..

I don't care if your a male or a female anyway, an ignorant person is an ignorant person..

As For me being a Pastor, Your analogy is stupid, there are actually studies that show a connection between homophobia and self loathing gay people....

The other nonsense about spewing vitriol and whatever else you said is unworthy of response..

So if your a woman your a cunt, and if your a guy, suck a dick.

  • @mattandersonWSWS Once again, to actually refute anything Mr. Harris says would be one thing, you sir are obviously a deluded person if you think religion isn't dangerous..

You talk of genocidal connotations? Just a brief listen to many, many Islamic clerics tells all there is to know..

Sam harris became vocal about his Anti-theistic worries after 9-11 yes, but I defy you to name the book, paper, column, ect., Where he gives any support for the Iraq war.

  • @badtrunk456 Just google Sam Harris, Iraq War. "However mixed or misguided American intentions were in launching this war, civilized human beings are now attempting, at considerable cost to themselves, to improve life for the Iraqi people." He's describing an illegal war for oil that has resulted in 1 million civilian deaths. He blames "the "iraqi people" for the disaster "one of the administration’s great failings was to underestimate the religious sectarianism of the Iraqi people."

  • @mattandersonWSWS The Iraq war had nothing to do with oil, as evidenced by the fact that we have gotten none from the endeavor..It was about old vendettas.. Once again Sam Harris has never supported the Iraq war..You just love pain huh?

  • @badtrunk456 You haven't referred to the quotes, which show his support for a "misguided" war. If it wasn't for oil, then presumably Bush was brining "democracy" to the IRaqi people? You have been duped, the majority of the population saw through the lies, obviously you didn't.

  • @badtrunk456 Comment removed? wow...

  • @mattandersonWSWS Islam is a threat to the west by the way, Even if 1% of Muslims were ready to do something violent to someone in the name of their religion, that would be 15,000,000 people....

The numbers look far, far worse than that though..

I can refute your idiocy all day bro...

  • @mattandersonWSWS The only "charlatan" who has said anything here is you sir, I beg you to read something connected to the facts...Anything, please...If not, you will continue to be destroyed intellectually, by those who actually do research...Oh, that's right your a theist, research is kind of secondary to you folks...

  • Keep criticizing religion Sam Harris, it makes me feel not alone.

  • Black shirt and jeans? Where's the usual Sam suit?!

  • FUCK RELIGION RIGHT UP THE FUCKIN ARSEHOLE. IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU WE WOULD BE FAR MORE TECHNOLOGY ADVANCED AND I WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE MY FUCKING ROBOT BODY. SUCK COCKS DICKFAGS. ugghghh it irks me.

  • @Exlemic that felt good didn't it haha

  • @Exlemic I can tell! lol. I agree.

  • @Exlemic Cock suck dick fags? Wow, I'll take the religious idiots anyday....Your so well spoken....

  • @badtrunk456 firstly i said "suck cocks dickfags" if you're going to quote me get it right. You'd rather take the side of the religious idiots? hahahaha atleast I only use words. The religious on the other hand...well lets just say thousands of them want to kill you just for what you believe. good luck with that.

  • what the the hell does speech like this have to do with sexual innuendo?

Because one person said it...so the rest of you have to "Monkey see monkey do?"

Be more origional people, and stop copying what other people do and believe, or think is funny...because it is that type of monkey primate thinking of how people get doped into religious ideals and bad ideas
