After the failure that was Sonic and the Secret Rings, this one will be rent first for me. The speed levels of Sonic Unleashed renewed my faith in the blue blur somewhat, but the Werehog levels still left me leery.

I could name many problems with Shadow the Hedgehog. Camera, Story, weapons, controls, confusion of the stories. The voice, graphics, and how it was done for the beginning of the last chapter was pretty poor compared to how it should have been.
I just didn't like the 3 party system on Sonic heroes. It made things limited, and the ending was pretty corny, though the final boss song was awesome. o.o

Well since they're gonna use his speed along with the sword-play, that's a somewhat good start. This game has the potential to be good. So instead of jumping the gun and immediately dismissing the game as crap, give the game some room to perform before you start whining and complaining.
Hmm.. the new Sonic Unleashed game looks promising (at least to an extent), but this... I'm going to have be skeptical as well. Sonic is failing because the developers have been trying out new ideas ever since sonic adventure. People say Sonic can't have a weapon. They gave Mickey Mouse a weapon in Kingdom Hearts, and nobody complained about that. Sonic has A LOT more action in it than Mickey Mouse does. Mickey Mouse has his own show for pre-schoolers!

wow... cause we all know Sonic games is in need of sword gameplay. The sheer thought reminds me of the horrible Shadow game....Lets just hope this actually turns out good

I remember when i was a kid, sonic was about speed n just playin a fun game. Now...its just garbage-- what a sight! Sonic the Hedghog the Knight! I just don't get it. Are they trying to give this story like an epic feel or somthing cuz if they are... they've failed years ago-- let alone THIS pile of attrocieties. There's so many things wrong with that picture its embaracing. R.I.P. Sonic, I'll always remember u in Sonic 1 and try to ignore this garbage... and the gay stuff too. :\ ergh...

This is a paradox. There is no EXCUSE, let alone a reason why Sonic Team or whoever is doing this would have given permission for this abomination to so much as exsist in their imagination even as a JOKE. Just look up why Sonic became popular in the first place just a few years ago and you'll see what I'm talking about. The only way THIS would make perfect sense is if the viewer were on acid or maybe just insane.

I'm not insane. My first video game was Sonic 1. And I don't think we should be passing judgement on this game yet. Give me a logical reason why your'e so certain this'll turn out bad.
Lastly. It's not a paradox. It's part of the wii-exclusive storybook series. Which are non-canon.

Everything after Sonic Adventure 2 was nowhere near the epicness of everything before SA2. But this and the trailers for Unleashed give me a glimmer of hope for the future.
And if they keep calling Robotnik "Eggman", I'm probably gonna punch someone down at Sega.

Sega has made ALOT of mistakes that ruined sonic. For example:Sonic labyrinth, sonic spinball for the gamegear sonic R, sonic 3D Blast, sonic 06, and shadow the hedgehog. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MOBIUS?!?!?!

Phantom Hourglass wasn't "entirely different". It used a touchscreen, but was still faithful to the Zelda mold (bombs, keys, boomerangs, maps, etc.).

But why isn't Sonic wearing a full suit of Armour? Surely if this game mixes British(ABOUT TIME!!) medieval times and Sonic he's gotta be in full armour (Yeah Im fussy about that XD).
Oh and FINALLY MORE GAMES ON KNIGHTS!! Seriously you'd think they'd have been forgotten. At least this guarantees a UK release then XD

From IGN: UPDATE: The official press release has just landed on our desk, complete with further details on the title. It follows on from Sonic and the Secrtet Rings as the second part of the Wii exclusive storybook series, and is being developed by Sonic Team in Japan. Transporting Sonic back to an Arthurian medieval world, it arms Sonic with a sword to tackle his foes. It's currently scheduled for release in Spring 2009, so keep a look out for more details here as they emerge.

Well since they're gonna use his speed along with the sword-play, that's a somewhat good start. This game has the potential to be good. So instead of jumping the gun and immediately dismissing the game as crap, give the game some room to perform before you start whining and complaining.

Hmm.. the new Sonic Unleashed game looks promising (at least to an extent), but this... I'm going to have be skeptical as well. Sonic is failing because the developers have been trying out new ideas ever since sonic adventure. Classic Sonic is where it's at though...Stop trying to be something new and different... just be what made sonic, sonic.

People say Sonic can't have a weapon. They gave Mickey Mouse a weapon in Kingdom Hearts, and nobody complained about that. Sonic has A LOT more action in it than Mickey Mouse does. Mickey Mouse has his own show for pre-schoolers!
