I know this video is old as hell but..if you use the "sharpen" event FX in sony vegas, it looks more HDish. Color corrector: studio rgb to computer rgb also makes it look less bland.
LL If your going to stay with this (even if not) when you try to render videos in WMV on sony vegas go to Project>Render as.
Make sure the save type is WMV and then go custom. After you do that go to the video section and change the format to 'Windows Media VideoV7' and then try to make a video in HD with that.
Changing the format into that should make rendering a bit more faster .. unless you used that
Yea. It takes a LONG time to HD something, its a "leave it to sleep" thing for me. (Been doing HD PC games of late). But this is the best. Personaly, id go witht his just becouse it looks SO much better.
Strange that you can't adjust the data rate for MainConcept. I downloaded the trial version and couldn't get it to work either. No matter though, this came out quite nicely.

How big was the file

Awesome quality! It doesn't look interlaced to me. That capture device must be really good.

I was using Windows Media Video 9 as the format.
What's the difference between that and "Windows Media VideoV7"?
Also should I put it on Sharpest 100?
MasterLL 2 years ago
I tried doing a render as I typed this.. wow, the encoding is only 30 minutes compared to WMV9 codec which took 1hr+.
I also put it on Sharpest 100 (before it was only at 90 for this video).
I'll put it up online to see how it is soon.

The Sharpness doesn't matter much and as you can see V7 renders videos more faster then V9. I don't think there is much difference in Quality either.

How big of a file size did you end up with when you finished saving it?

4:54 video end up to be 295MB

If you had the voice settings set to go to your headset, it doesn't even go through the game, thus your recording program doesn't pick it up.
You aren't picked up since your voice is NEVER played in game, just your partner's if you tell it to.

Good quality...and welcome to the HD scene lol 10 minute videos take about 3-4 hours to save.

Yea I find it weird.
You know anyone that has Vegas Pro 9 (nonTrial) that can confirm if they can change it or not?
MasterLL 2 years ago
No, unfortunately. I've asked around and no one I know seems to use it.

Dude... This looks fantastic even when it isn't in HD. No Interlace as far as I see which is good since WMV auto deinterlaces (I believe)
But yeah, this is nice, great work.
