  • I learned so much from this documentary. Question: WHAT IS THE SONG SUNG IN THE BEGINNING??? Chei...

  • This video reminds one of the darkest moments of Nigerian history and how the Igbos were butchered and killed in their thousands by the so called northern leaders.

I shed tears after watching those malnourished children and walking skeletons in the video looking for food. The founding fathers of Nigeria have a lot to answer in the hand of God. Long live OJUKWU!

  • Everything that is wrong in Africa is the result of imperialist PLUNDER and imperialist interference that causes Blacks to fight Blacks. Everytime Black Africans are fighting Black Africans what we should do is find out which OUTSIDE party is involved

  • biafra yesterday, south kodorfan today...history repeats itself..

  • Lord, bless Biafra!

  • The UK Government must apologise for it's role in the Biafran War. I have started a petition on their e petition website

  • i share tears any time i watch this, and i cnt stop watching it,

  • i pitty the igbo's they are not truthful to them selves, an igbo man can never help his brother, ojukwu made the worst mistake of his life, and today they achieved nothing Long Live Nigeria....... Fuck Biafra.................

  • @sweetedge4real So it appears Ojukwu abandoned his own people.

  • Hey americans Obama wants to starve your country in the name of insane leftist ideas.

  • At least most people in the Niger-Delta today have seen what the Igbos saw in the 1960s.

Life goes on. We lost the war, we are dealing with it, but some people who thought they were on the winning side know better today.

Hello Niger-Delta, Hello Middle Belt. I laugh in Igbo

  • i am from the uk and am sad that a place which has such resources have so many living in poverty. corrupt leaders and the greed of the west have contributed to keeping this great african country in this state.

  • This brings tears to my eyes. God bless the Igbos worldwide.

  • Biafra was so ill prepared for this war, we lost too much , The Freedom we fought for, Do we even have it in the present day NIGERIA,?

  • Thank-you for posting this extensive and truly balanced documentary. Without understanding this background, it is impossible to grasp what is going on in the Niger Delta region today.

  • Kind of bizarre when you think about it: the Nigerian government was powerless to stop the slaughter of the Igbo at the hands of the Hausa-Fulani...but when the Igbo decided they didn't to continue to belong to a nation where they were being butchered and murdered, and mounted a secession campaign, suddenly the Nigerian government wasn't so powerless...and the British government became much more involved!

  • WHAT BELIES NORMALITY, MORALITY & ABSOLUTISM?

[I despise every miserable second that Tom Chapin lives.]

[I despise every miserable second that Marvin Hamlisch lives.]

Truly we, who don't swing in Bill Gates' playground of elitists, are viewed as laboratory rats. Tattoos define who we, the tattooed people of society, are. When anyone tries to remove your tattoo: RESIST!!!

  • WHO IS AFRAID OF THE IGBOS.THE BIAFRA WAR WAS AND IS STILL GOING ON BETWEEN THE BRITAIN AND THEIR COLLABRATORS IN NIGERIA AGAINST THE BIAFRANS.THEY THOUGHT THAT THE IGBOS COULD BE SUBMERGED AFTER THOSE THREE YEARS OF MURDER,LOOTING,THE BLOCKADE AND THE GENOCIDE.TODAY THEIR FEARS ARE BEING CONFIRMED ON DAILY BASES.THE IGBOS ARE EVERYWHERE; EDUCATION,COMMERCE JUST NAME IT TOWERING AHEAD OF THEM.IGBOS ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD(UMU CHUKWU).NDI IGBOGADI.

  • Is there anyone here who knows the name of the song that begins at 3:33? I've been trying to find it. I think it's a hymn.

  • With all due respect, but Ojukwu started this war without a proper blueprint..innocent people died and all he did was ran to a neighbouring West African country while his people suffered untold hardship...

  • I truly feel for the Nigerian people they have suffered just like us Native Americans have.

  • "By 1964 a group of young Nigerian officer-cadets, mostly Northerners, had been declared academically unfit and hence repatriated by the Canadian military authorities. These same cadets were however pronounced commissioned by the Nigerian Federal Government no sooner than they had arrived at the Ikeja Airport.. Standards of officer prerequisites had dropped drastically. So had those of discipline." -- Ben Gbulie in "Nigeria's Five Majors" p. 13, 1981.

  • "The United States Republican Presidential Candidate, Mr. Richard Nixon, today called for a halt on Nigerian genocide against Biafra. 'Mr. Nixon called on President Lyndon Johnson to devote "all the time and attention and imagination and energy he can muster to assist the starving Biafrans. The time is past for the wringing of hands about what is going on"... a crisis that he held "now involves genocide." ---- New York Times.

    September 9, 1968.

  • This was one of the greatest tragedies of the twentieth century, the Nigerians inflicted genocide against Biafra and the world turned its head and ignored it. And today Nigeria continues to persecute Biafrans and Igbo and Christians.

  • I am muslim, and I dont agree with wat the nigerian musli,=ms forced on the people in islam yur not supposed to make people muslim if they dont wanna theyr so primitive

  • The war was a legitimate one but was unfortunately carried out without proper preparations against the Nigerian -ALKAIDA-TERORIST government! Today´s Nigeria shows the war was a right one at least on the side of BIAFRANS! WE STILL MUST BE FREE FROM THIS TALIBAN northern TERORISTS!!

  • My brother you are right.

  • Yes God will always be on our side. The Nigerian fools will pay for what they did to our people. They got all support from other nations but we stood alone and hold for 3 years. i believe one day we will crush them. Nigerians must pay.

  • Blaming the west is a big waste of time. This is the only thing they know and live for. I blame my people (Igbo's) today who forgot quickly what the war was all about. It was basically about freedom. My people you saw on this video are actually your cousins and your step brothers if your mother died then. Those dying kinds are actually your uncles today. This experience should tel you who you are not who you would have been. THIS IS US!!! The world is cruel.Just don't be cruel to your brother

  • The igbos never forgot. The have to move on if not forge on.Take a look at the imperial craft call Nigeria.... 3 nations forced into one ....qiute a market....despite being vanquished the Igbo still remain the sole benefitiary of these land mass call Nigeria even against all odds...... Man the market is huge and igbos will survive

    patkaduna

  • I neva knew hw real this war was till now.Great, brave men, thank you for not letting the East to be swept out, for not letting Igbo to be a history. For protecting ur children from being imposed with Islam, For giving us that opportunity to be the Christains we want to be. Thank you for ur bravery, strength and protection to ur generations to come.

  • The biafra war was neva about imposing Islam on anyone, it was about protecting the integrity of Nigeria. Truth is brave or not, if Nigeria had wanted to wipe out Biafra there was verry little stopping it, yet we accepted its surrender. I have a lot of good christian friends so it makes sad when people like you make muslims seem like monsters. Basically the message is if you cant beat us, then its best you join us.

  • @bilsones @bilsones --is there any reason why nigeria should be one? what do the northern nigeria and the south east have in common that should keep us together? not religion not culture, not even food, not dressing not even language or language ascent .the middle bent(gowon's people) are feeling the affect in jos. you call it the integrity of Nigeria

  • @bilsones, What was the intent of Nigerians killing innocent Biafrans all over the Nigerian space? Was that to spare them? It takes monsters to mass-murder innocent people. Gowon had opted to give up if not for the determined Harold Wilson, whom Biafrans never added as the enemy. Yes of course, Nigeria could not wipe Biafra out; not with nearly a million of Nigerians shredded by explosives. Biafrans fought the British and Russians with myriad other countries and the whole of Nigeria.

  • @bilsones Please can you explain what you mean by "Protecting the integrity of Nigeria". In your opinion by remaining in NIgeria, is Biafra better or worse off? For that matter what has Nigeria offered Biafra that go it alone Biafra may not have achieved on her own especially after the war.

  • watching these vid makes me realize hw real this was; and I wud love to thank all these brave loyal men for fighting this hard and being protective; cos if they didn't, the whole East would have been swept out and Igbo wud have been a history. Or Islam wud have been imposed on the children of these great men. Thank you, great men for letting Igbo exit, thank you for making it possible for ur children to freely practice Christainity.

  • @dovelov If you read 'THE NIGERIA CIVIL WAR' by John de St Jorre you will come to know that was the only war in hostory that had a group of military observers (Observer team in Nigeria - OTN from Gritain, Canada, Poland, UNO and OAU which concluded there was no genocide. People died of course. But is there a war where people don't die? Does that make every war genocidal?

  • @dovelov sometimes i do wonder wi u guys talks without even thinking , if someone tell me pple still think like this i will argue... so the fact that igbos where defeated, beaten and forced to surrender ..means been protective to u. lol. i dont know , but common pple do believe that ,a defeated group have 2 choice or decision of their own. All that remain is for their enemies to decides..Atleast if u want to say/post a comment, pls make sure ur point do make sence and the meassag is conveyed.

  • god bless nigeria

  • Biafra must be Free!

  • He who avenges blood shall deliver recompense against the evil country that is Nigeria.

  • I apprecaite Ibos decision to gain autonomy but decision to use war to achieve this was wrong. Nzeogwu and co killed the hausa PM and Sokoto King, the yoruba&midwestern governors while Azikiwe was in London & Okpara the ibo eastern governor was spared. Ironsi didnt punish the coup ploters, so do u want the northerners to be happy abt this.Should stop blaming the Northerners for everyth cos Ibo leaders didnt act correctly. Biafra will be urs when u work together as a unit & stop blaming others.

  • Nzeogwu/Ademoyega/Ifeajuna-led coup, as has been testified to by relevant sources, were politically motivated to rid Nigeria of those subverting its democracy, peace, stability and development and those were the Hausa-fulani Islamist, jihadist genocidists and there Yoruba oligarch supporters who are still doing the same thing 43 years after those officers rose against these problems. Zik and Okpara neither aided nor abetted the rigging of elections which is subvertion of the peoples' will.

  • man i have to agree with you...although im igbo.

  • The U.S/British Governments along with Western World should recognize the creation of Biafra. We are longing for this new home father land to emerge through diplomacy.

  • May God avenge the blood of these skeletal children on those responsible for killing them.

  • The american leader said nigerian leaders blew oppotunities for its growth he said that the nigerian leaders have failed to justify the expectations of its poeple.

  • God bless Biafra!

  • The single most urgent objective of the Hausa-fulani hegemony and its allies is to Islamize the rest of Nigeria and utilising the Nigerian military is cardinal towards this vile aim. Prime targets are the Biafrans. While some other ethnicities, who unjustly resent Biafrans, may be exploited towards that objective, their Islamization shall come soon after for they dread the Hausa-fulani whom they could n't stand up against despite severe abuses against their peoples for more than 50 years.

  • I am always fascinated by the resilience of my African people, whatever their country of origin. Nigeria however, is of particular interest...it being my father's birthplace. Already beset by meaningless infighting, they could even begin to lay the foundations of a vibrant nation. No doubt, this was all inspired by Western Powers who so insidiously destabilized and crippled it before it was able to gain its bearings. Even now we suffer. Y did they give us guns instead of Mahindra tractors?

  • Take responsibility for your folly and the lack of character of your criminal leaders, and stop blaming people who did not compel you in any way to kill your kind. Nigeria particularly, I dont know of all Africa, has low animals as leaders who are constantly committing genocide against peoples just to steal their resources. From Gowon, Obasanjo, to Yar'Adua, they have not changed.

  • Long live Biafra! Liberty, democracy, freedom!

  • @NobleSkeptic okay really? we are a united nation now and lets keep it tht way. Biafra was like ther for like what? 2 years? so now. Short lived biafra actually

  • GOD set BIAFRANS free

  • Sure he will set us free someday

  • Wow, how things can change in just 1 year!

  • Long Live Free Biafra! From your friends in South Afrika(Suid Afrika)

  • We have made our mistakes and have learned from them.

  • this is soo... sad...

  • no yoruba,no hausa,no igbo,no Nigeria

  • BIafra is the only way forward for the Igbo...long live biafra

  • "There has been nobody at the helm of affairs in this country from Buhari, Babangida to Obasanjo who has come up to fight for their(Niger Delta's)plight. So why should we say that we are going to deploy troops to go and kill them, forgetting that we are going to deploy troops to go and kill them, forgetting that the soldiers that are going to be sent there are with the equipment bought with the money that comes from the Niger Delta." - Rtd. Col. Abubakar D. Umar. Daily Independent. July 6, 2008.

  • "Former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon (Rtd) has come hard on present and past African leaders (himself was Nigeria's Military Head of State, 1967-1975) especially the military saying that their greed kept the continent from developing, several decades after political freedom.." "While the continent continues to be ravaged by wars, hunger and diseases, our leaders continue to engage themselves in endless, yet futile battles for supremacy in greed and destruction." --- Vanguard May 7, 2008.

  • "The whole of Black race is backward because of the Hausa-fulani people. It is about their dominance. In Asia, the Chinese are the dominant people and the entire Asia is progressing today because of the progressive nature of the Chinese. Why is Africa not progressing today? Is it not because the Hausa-fulani are the largest ethnic group in Africa, and they are corrupt, bankrupt and primitive. That is why the whole of the black race is in darkness." -Asari Dokubo. Nigerian Tribune August 17,2008

  • "People know that Nigeria does not exist as a true nation. But our leaders are fraudulently holding up to the country because of the oil in Itsekiri land, in Ogoniland, in Ilaje, Ijawland and Urhobo land and in some parts of Iboland. There was a civil war in this country and the fight was mainly to hold on to the oil. What is holding this contraption called Nigeria together is the oil and for so long..our people has been used.." - Asari Dokubo. Nigerian Tribune Newspapers. Sunday august 17, 2008

  • During the early days when the easterners were in some high position and our nation was a true confederation, we were moving forward. Now the system has been bastardized. I don't think any people are stupid rather I prefer, we accept our differences and forge a policy of national unity. If Nigeria must remain together, they must accept a policy of unity in diversity. A true confederation can help achieve this. Other than this, we would continue to deceive ourselves and live poor forever..

  • The creation of the Niger Delta Ministry by Yar'Adua is another clear fact that Hausa-fulani thinks of the rest of the crushed peoples of this wicked contraption as idiots. Another insult. Niger Delta Ministry we all know will not minister to the Niger Delta, it will rather be a vehicle for corruption and frustration of the peoples expectations. It is not in the agenda of the Sokoto caliphate to develop Niger Delta and will never be. You all know that. These hegemonists are religious criminals.

  • Peoples of the Middle Belt, Mid-West and Eastern Region should know that the political office holders do not represent them and that their bad situation in Nigeria will never change as long as they look up to these unelected politicians like governors and legislators to push their case. These politicians represent the Hausa-fulani central government in Abuja and must do its bidding. Change comes from down to up, never from up to down. Form your own political alliances and shirk Nigeria.

  • Biafrans7,you've finally realised and accepted the actual problems the Igbo have been facing which is, as you rightly said, their lack of ability to 'form polical alliances'. Your destiny is in your hands. As we speak, start filtering out those ppl that represent ur interests and those who care abt ur welfare. You also need to do away wiv ppl like ojukwu and uwuzirike, they represent only deluded interests, they did no good to U btw '67-'70, they do no good now and they'll never get u nowhere!

  • Your Land and the Resources in it is Your Property. The Federal government of the north seized, controlled and run by the Hausa-fulani Islamic Jihadist genocidists along with their subservient and co-parasitic co-genocidist Yoruba Oligarchs like Olusegun Aremu Matthew Okikiola Obasanjo has plundered the wealth in the Niger Delta for their private use and domination of the rest of the poor masses in Nigeria. Niger Delta Ministry and Cabinet reshuffle are usual 48-year old distractions and games

  • Marginalisation is not the present problem, if marginalisation was even an issue the ppl from the south/east at the chance to present a consensus canditate 4 the 2007 pres elect but they couldnt. Okoroman et al, have always failed to discuss issues intead they chase shadows. The elitists from all regions of nigeria are the ones perpetrating the suffering of nigerians with their insidious and bauchery practices. okoroman et al, lack any convictions, they're partial, cynical and distortional!!!

  • Your secessionist idea is not a big issue really, but the REAL issue as far as i am concern is the way u guys go like little babies crying marginalisation, 'yoruba oligarch', 'hausas are selfish' , complaining that all ur probelem was, has been and still being caused by others. isn't that utterly ABSURD? i think u shld accept the fact, ur elites are shamless, gullible, selfish, obseqiuos, irresponsible, foolish, shallow and above all stupid!

  • If the Lord had no been on our side Let Biafrans say - If the lord had not been on our side When men attacked us When their anger flared against us, they would have swallowed us alive; the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away. Praise be to The Lord who has not let us be torn by their teeth.
  • "The whole of Black race is backward because of the Hausa-Fulani people. It is about their dominance. Is it not because the Hausa-fulani are the largest ethnic group in Africa, and they are corrupt, bankrupt and primitive. That is why the whole of the black race is in darkness." -Asari Dokubo. Nigerian Tribune. August 17,2008

  • In 1966, soon after the world commemorated the 21st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and made the customary solemn declaration of "Never, never again," Hausa-Fulani emirs, muslim clerics and intellectuals, military officers, politicians and other public figures defiled that season of reflection, commiseration and hope. They planned and executed the first phase of the Biafran genocide, the foundational genocide in post-conquest Africa.

  • "In further show of its insincerity, the government of Umaru Yar'Adua ordered an invasion by the Nigerian military to several peace loving Ijaw communities in Edo, Bayelsa, and Ondo States..on June 8, 2008. The invading force carried out terrible atrocities such as rape, vandalism and murder before razing down houses..while they deceitfully call for a summit on the Niger Delta." Jomo Gbomo Movement For The Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) spokesman. Daily Sun. Wednesday June 11, 2008

  • Yar'Adua creates a Niger Delta ministry to spite the people who have for 48 years been exploited and killed and are calling for civil dis-integration and dissolve of the Hausa-fulani government and hijacked political entity called Nigeria. Yar'Adua now made a cabinet reshuffle to seem like he has anything meaningful for those poor and suffering Nigerians. These have no relationship with a much-needed peoples sovereign national conference. This insult continues from the Hausa-fulani.

  • "Census is a big joke..if you want to go from one village to the other in the North, you can go miles without seeing anybody..Agriculture does n't go with them, so how then did they get the population, the money that they say they are contributing more to the revenue of this country? It's the same lie that has been told to the Rivers people, that we are going to save you from headache, from the "oppression" of the East, come along." - Benjamin Adekunle. Daily Sun Newspapers. Friday June 2, 2006.

  • "We are in a country where there is no sympathy for those who are suffering; the deprived, the wretched and the poor, as long as others are enjoying from the sweat of those who are suffering. That is why I said I will be surprised to see someone who is not from the area, to suddenly turn around to show interest. For instance, for president Umaru Yar'Adua to now suddenly start executing a Marshall Plan for the Niger-Delta. It will be a miracle." - Prof. Itse Sagay. Punch Newspapers. July 29,2008.

  • I'll give a quote from someone who's been fighting the course of the masses. Let us give them a try, let them operate the ministry and let's see, after all the NDDC and Niger Delta state governments have all been receiving allocations for the development of the area.

Although I am not being over- sceptical, what have they done with all the money they had received from the Federal Government?'' Frank Kokori. Thisday newspaper, sept. 12, 2008.

  • Yormeey what is it about nigeria that make you think nigeria is a nation? nigeria has been ruled by barbaric, inhuman, killers and criminals. They killed IGBOS by starvation in genocidal war out of envy, just because NDIIGBO are intelligent and domineering and nigeria has remained unworkable since then. shame!!!

  • Sassy..what is it about marginalisation that the southeast cannot create a political coopertaion amongst themselves? If you conclude that Nig has been ruled by 'barbaric, inhuman criminals' that definitely includes Zik, Akhomu, Nnamani and more rcently the chiarman of NDDC who bath with money. There's nothing domineering and intelligent about a group who have not been able to galvanise, organise and create political prosperity of their pple..

  • yormeey your comment shows your level of ignorance. before the war IGBOS doninated everyone in nigeria and they had most of the top jobs in the north and the west and all the businesses were owned by IGBOS. thats northerners were intimidated and yorubas envy IGBOS get yourself educated and come out of yorubastic timid, fake, false and lieing nature. Remember going to school doesn't make you educated.

  • Here we go again! Here we have sassy pontificating abt knowledge-igbos are these, igbos're that! wow! Although, i do respect the enterprising nature a lot my fellow nigerian from the southeast but to say they dominate in all walks of life is absurd. I am pretty sure of this sassy, there were times when the 16 justices of the supreme court of nig were from the southwest of Nig., knowledge, skills and education took them there. It isn't just enough for u to brag, please prove it!!!!

  • Yormeey is not bordered about Biafra, he is just bordered about talking about Biafra.

  • Biafrans7, i well bothered abt the welfare of my fellow nig from the southeast unlike u and okoroman who do not think of the implications of what they wish for them. i also respect groups like MEND, the Igbo Congress, who unlike groups lead by myopic and retarded ojukwu and Nwazurike think abt the Unity of nig and put the interests of their people before selfish interests.

  • The first time I saw these vids, I had my reservation but I felts no matter what happened FMG's response was indiscriminate, inappropriate and misproportional. I still feel thesame. After I read some distorting comments left by the pple that uploaded these vids, I realise how bias and inbalance their comments were/are. Any one who knows abt Nigeria would reailse they were uploaded to promote the propaganda of a Naive and defeated Ojukwu who created the dead-at-birth Biafra.

  • ...In 2007 they switch to the AC. In fact in 1999/2003, my ward which is yoruba dominated, vote an Igbo man as councillor. Such is the story in other part of lagos state where other citizens of Nigeria from other state took few sest. Despite haven't achieved their aims yet, they believe they'll get there. They didn't go crying marginalisation.

  • Perhaps the southeast shld borrow a leaf from the politically dynamic southwest which in 1999 voted Alliance for Democracy(AD) under the banner of Afenifere and refused to vote a yoruba presidential candidate of PDP. In 2003 when they realise the AD didn't represent their aspiration they switched allegiance to the PDP...

  • What right has Gowon in proceeding with an economic blockade of the Eastern Region and its ill-motivated balkanisation, without the consultation and concord of the Eastern Regional Authorities? A man who led a mutiny against a legitimately constituted government, murdered the Head of State and encouraged genocide against an innocent population. These renegades had the temerity to give orders to the very people they where killing.

  • Edo and Delta states were not part of Biafra...So plz tell which states will your Biafra consist?

  • The spate of anti-Igbo(Biafrans) pogroms and genocide mainly in northern Nigeria in the past 63 years - 1945, 1953, 1966(all over Nigeria), 1967 - 1970(Biafra's resistance of Nigeria's genocidal War), 1980, 1982, 1985, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006. These years that witnessed genocidal onslaughts against Biafrans from Northerners proves beyond any reasonable doubt that there is an organized intent to annihilate Biafrans using the instrument of genocide fired by jihad

  • 48 years (almost half a century) Nigeria has been run by the Hausa-fulani Islamist Jihadist genocidists and their Yoruba Oligarch slaves like Obasanjo. In this period, there was never a standing free and fair election or census. All were profusely rigged. The only fairly creditable election in June 1993 was canceled by the Hausa-fulani federal government. Never a peoples sovereign national conference and $400 Billion dollars of oil revenue from the SouthEast squandered while genocide is upheld.

  • "If from 1982 to this date, the East-West Road is not done and the amount of money Obasanjo got in one year was more than IBB's money for eight years, can you blame the young men for taking arms?.. So the truth is that even though the holding of arms is criminal, they have done so because they were driven to the wall. But I say that all of them are freedom fighters." -- Rowland Owie. Former Senate Chief Whip 1979 - 1982. Vanguard Newspapers. Saturday September 6, 2008.

  • Yormeey, where you cannot conduct a free and fair elections, census or summon a peoples sovereign national conference, Nigeria is what you get. Where religious bigotry, ethnic hatred and chauvinism and genocide costs millions of lives, Nigeria is what you get. Where corruption and exploitation is culture; where intimidation, usurp and abuse of power culminate into gross violation of human rights, Nigeria is the result. It's an uncivilized person that subscribes to such political entity. Are you?

  • "...a journal by the American State Department,..stated that (Olusegun) Obasanjo masterminded the failure of the (April 2007) elections. The stinging publication exposes both Obasanjo and (Abubakar)Atiku(VP) as the architects of election rigging in Nigeria since 1999 when they came to power."..."The scathing article is written by Jean Herskovits, (a former) officer of the CIA in charge of African Affairs..." --- Daily Independent. Sunday August 5, 2007.

  • Biafrans7, personally don't you take responsibility for some of yr actions? Aren't you ashamed that you are making these so called 'biafrans' being manipulated by the 'oligarch' & what have u look so belittled, gullible and naive that they dont have the brain of their own? How come they stoop that low to get manipulated agianst their own people? Biafran7, Plz dont get too beclouded...plz make some sense...

  • Why dont u quote a publication by an american organisation abt the scam called '419' that is incessant and common amoungst the IGBOS.That's not even the main issues, u all know the issues but u all have been ridiculously evasive of it.

  • How can say with a staright face that someone is plotting the death of people from the southeast. if anyone is plotting, it's the corrupt, debauchery elites that are plotting the death of one another for their own selfish interests.

  • 7 new Biafran groups emerge

•Drag FG to court, seek self--determination

By Vincent Ukpong Kalu, Daily Sun, August 30, 2008

"[Apostle Kalada Jene, a businessman from Bonny, Rivers State representing other members of groups and people known as Natural Biafra has dragged the federal government and five others before the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking among other things self determination.]"

  • "[Five parties joined in the in suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/49/2008, are: The Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Inspector General of Police, Senate President, Speaker, House of Representatives and Chief Anthony Enahoro. Jene is seeking a declaration that his group under the 1999 Constitution is entitled to answer the name and associate himself as a Natural Biafran.]"

  • join me in reciting our national anthem: Arise, O Compatriots, Nigeria's call obey To serve our Fatherland With love and strength and faith The labour of our heroes past Shall never be in vain, To serve with heart and might One nation bound in freedom, Peace and unity. Why dont u adopt the lyric of this great anthem.
  • Ogedola, talking of virtues, where are any virtues in the corrupt, criminal Hausa-fulani Islamic Jihadists and Yoruba Oligarch leaderships in Nigeria for 48 years? In half a century, no standing free and fair elections conducted, no free and fair census, no peoples sovereign national conference, $400 Billion dollars squandered and 62-year genocide against a people these murderers claim are fellow citizens. Where is virtue in leaderships that exploit others natural resources and kill them?

  • Biafrans7,can i remind u that ngige(frmr gov of anambra state), amb sam Edem (frmr chairman of NDDC) are not from the 'Hausa-fulani Islamic Jihadists and Yoruba Oligarch'. They are from the south east of nigeria, arent they ?

  • Yormeey, the executive authority to form and even oversee the "independent" National Electoral Commission is with the Hausa-fulani Islamic Jihadists Genocidists and slave Yoruba Oligarchs like Olusegun Obasanjo. They manipulate the electoral body to rig all the elections from 1959 to 2008. Just repeating an answer you already know.

  • who manipulated nwambara, edem, ngige, etc to steal?

  • These people were not elected by the people in Olusegun Obasanjo's fraudulent elections.

  • yeah, i accept the election was not totally free and fair. Did no Igbo man serve under him?

  • So you have not heard about using people?

Yes a handful of misguided, disgruntled, hard core criminal outcasts from among the Efik, Ibibio, Igbo, Ijaw, Ogoja, Itsekiri, Esan, Urhobo ... were recruited by the Northern Cabal to d their dirty job. They couldn't have done it on their own.

  • What prove have u got 2 defend that? Okoroman, have u heard of the word 'responsibility'. The willingness to accept responsibility for one's own life is the source from which self-respect springs- Joan Doadan, 1934. Now u claimed they are 'digruntled, hard core criminal outcast' recruited by the 'Northan Cabal'. So members of the judiciary andnthe traders hoarding good were recruited by the 'Northern Cabal'?

  • Every where in the world, traders hoard goods. This is an Economics/Market Competition (cartels) issue. It is up to the government to curb this problem but in Nigeria nothing works. As mentioned earlier Nigeria sustains anything detrimental to the population. As for your claims of "hoarding goods" I doubt that it is political however it will be interesting to see a reliable article on it. An economic strangulation on Nigeria by Biafrans will be interesting.

  • Also yormeey, pay attention to "HANDFUL"

  • In case u got an email from utube saying u send a spam message it was me and it was by mistake, so i apologise. Traders hoarding goods during war is sign of corruption not political.

  • Don't be daft it is not really an issue of corruption. It is their goods after all. It becomes illegal once a law (anti-competition act) banning it for consumer protection has been put in place and at times it becomes difficult to monitor/regulate anti-competitive behaviors. Certainly since you are more precise and refer to the traders at the war period, then you can expect that it would have been a more complex situation for the government to manage at the war period.

  • Nonetheless, Biafra functioned very well in most other areas of government work. Listen to Frederick Forsyth in this video.

  • Biafra didnt function on their own okoroman, it was with the help of portugal, sweden and france.

  • There is nothing to prove - it is so obvious but maybe not to the naive "Nigerian". This is like doing 1+2 =3, not 12. Certainly you will agree that the millions of Biafrans were not involved in the Nigerian government. Of those who truly represented the peoples was Nnamdi Azikiwe who did not steal. How many Igbo presidents have you had since? what has the government of Nigeria been like since?

  • Those Igbo in the Northerners' Nigerian government smaller posts were only used. It is easy for the Northern oligarchy to find "men with low mentality" (as Fela Kuti put it) amongst your people and put them to work by giving them money.

  • Could this be your reason for a demand for an Igbo president? Perhaps to clean up the mess? Or are you hoping to install a sick Igbo man like Orji Uzo kalu as president to change the fact that the Igbo president produced wasn't corrupt? You do the maths. Or could this be the strategy of your likes to use this to create a counter effect (distraction) on the drive for Biafra? What is you reason for anting an Igbo president? Just give an answer and we don't expect you to be honest.

  • Perhaps okoroman, onyibeb, biafran7 should tell us which diivided group of Biafra they represnt. Is that Ralph Nwazuruike or the Mathew Uzukwu faction? Although most them where under colonial influence, Nigeria today, is more recognised and regraded on the international stage than the five countries(Ivory coast, haiti, Gabon, Zambia). Unfortunately, Ivory coast had her own taste of civil war and my country Nigeria sent peace keepers which consist of soldiers from all parts of united Nigeria.

  • Okoroman, this is the Pledge that's been recited in Nigeria since 1978, that was recited today in the southeast and all over Nigeria and that'll be recited forever in all part of Nigeria including the southeast. Join me in saying it: "1, 2, 3, go:"

I pledge to Nigeria my country

To be faithful, loyal and honest

To serve Nigeria with all my strength

To defend her UNITY and uphold her honour and glory

    So help me God.

    Thank you Okoroman ...lol

  • C'mon okoroman, I know you can say it:

I pledge to Nigeria my country To be faithful, loyal and honest To serve Nigeria with all my strength To defend her UNITY and uphold her honour and glory So help me God.

  • Okoroman & co. are all deluded. Perhaps we should refer them to the joint COMMUNIQUE OF THE FIRST JOINT MEETING OF WORLD IGBO CONGRESS, INC., ZUMUNTA ASSOCIATION USA, INC., AND EGBE OMO YORUBA, NORTH AMERICA

ON THE STATE OF NIGERIA in 2006. They "agree on the need for a unity of purpose and concerted agenda as Nigerians in the Diaspora on issues affecting our country. We agree to speak with one voice and not to allow detractors to come between us." Detractors like Okoroman & co & MASSOB.lol

  • Viaclifton human virtues has no tribe, linguinstic group or nationality...people are generally people...the defeat of the first wave of attack on Biafra has nothing to do with the ethics or abilities of Yoruba or any group in Nigeria. For all we know, the defeat could be the result of bad tactics on the leader of the campaign, Poor intelligence, low morale among troops, Poor communication....as a person with ample military experience...

  • Tough time never last but tough people do,we Biafra shortlist the Nigeria soldiers,we reduce them in number, most of them are Yorubas, because during river niger crossing,M.Mohammed did not take his Hausa people,as he was coming from Lagos he pickup most of Yoruba and Edo soldiers and few midlle belt, thousands of them perish in that river(as usual 4 d Pharos)and he orderd 4 more troops from Lagos again and all were totaly downstroyed at Abagan convoy disaster.sorry,YORUBAS HAVE NO POWER OF THIERS.

  • Mr yormeey,i don't see u making any sense here,u r still a kid,all your writting here sounds like a child still sucking his mother's lactating breast.u r not upto 28,go and grow up sense my dear.

  • Thank goodness i have enough sense to know that you're promoting a dead propaganda on utube. It doesn't take a genius that to know that 'Biafra' was not a well nortured idea..it failed bec it wasn't suppose to be bec it was apparently not the solution to the problem faced by the northeastern then. many of u idiots claimed u were being marginalised, why didnt u present a consensus president in the 2007 elections? the answer: u failed bec, the elites, just like all parts of nigeria are selfish!

  • "But the whole problem (of resource control) that we are experiencing now could be traced to the "Land Use Decree," which was promulgated by Obasanjo regime shortly after he succeeded Muritala.. Obasanjo had the support from the North because they all know that with the decree, the federal government owned everything and that, they could all share from the resource of the nation at the center." -- David Akpode Ejoor, Former Military Governor, defunct Mid-West Region. Sunday Punch. July 3, 2005.

  • "Awolowo was a devil and his policies led to the present problems that the people of Niger Delta are fighting..the Yoruba instead should apologize to the Niger Delta people for the federal government's policies the late premier of defunct Western Region influenced against the interest of the Niger Delta." --- Asari Dokubo. Champion Newspapers. Tuesday March 22, 2005.

  • Awolowo dismantled fiscal federalism in 1968, and as the author of Gowon's economic policy from 1967 - 1970, he stripped the Southern Nationalities(Niger Delta) of their resource rights and control through the Dina commission.

  • "People know that Nigeria does not exist as a true nation. But our leaders are fraudulently holding up to the country because of the oil in Itsekiri land, in Ogoni land, in Ilaje, Ijaw land and Urhobo land and some parts of Iboland. There was a civil war in this country and the fight was mainly to hold on to the oil(Nigeria's mission). What is holding this contraption called Nigeria together is the oil..the blood of our people has been used.." - Asari Dokubo. Nigerian Tribune News.August 17,2008

  • 1. World Igbo Congress ends in crisis

By Chinedu Offor, Correspondent, Washington D.C.

The World Igbo Congress (WIC) held [in Tampa] Florida, has ended on a fractious note, again raising questions about the ability of the Igbo to work in cohesion. After a parallel election, two factions emerged, each claiming to speak for the organisation.

  • 2. A splinter group headed by Joe Eto said its officials will achieve the objectives of the WIC that promotes the advancement of the Igbo without political interference. But the re-elected leader of the WIC, Chibuzo Onwuchekwe, insisted that he is still in charge.

  • 3. The split up of the WIC is causing ripples among those who attended the event, with some describing it as a "microcosm of the Igbo problem." 3. The split up of the WIC is causing ripples among those who attended the event, with some describing it as a "microcosm of the Igbo problem."

  • 4. John Okafor, a delegate from Washington DC, lamented that "it is a disgrace that we cannot resolve our own internal problem. This is one of the reasons why Ndigbo are politically irrelevant in Nigeria today."

  • "The Niger Delta must learn the act of war from Saladin, Jesus and Biafra. You do not need to take permission or make deals with your oppressor to be free and happy. If you want the oil companies out of your land, send their workers out and shut the plants down totally without negotiations..Niger Delta must be prepared for Nigerian resistance because it is natural. We produce over 90 percent of Nigerian revenue, so they will want to fight for it.." - Ehi Aimiuwu. Nigeriaworld. September 2, 2008.

  • thanks planet, they are not politically organised. their elites, as all parts nigeria's are insidious. they have refused time and time again to sacrifice personal and selfish ambition 4 general ones. 2007 was a very recent example, i would have thought they wud present a consus candidate for the pres election, but they didnt. The okoromans, onyibebs and biafran7s of this world should put that into consideration b4 crying marginalisation.

  • All this talk of Igbo presidency is distarction. This is the joke of it all if Nigeria was a real nation why should it matter whether or not the president of Nigeria is Igbo?

We are not interested in Nigerian presidency.Nigeria can keep its presidency we don't care.

We are interested in Self Determination or Biafra actualization. There is nothing Nigeria can offer that compares to Biafra. Biafrans stay focused!

    Biafra alive!

  • I accept that it doesnt matter which region the president of nigeria comes from. i made the comment bec a lot of ur cohorts are saying they are systematically prevented to get to the seat of power in nigeria. When u say u werent interested in nig's presidency, i would like to remind u that ojukwu contested for the nigeria presidency as a flag bearer of APGA 2007. i bet u must have campaigned for him then.

  • Even though they had strenuously opposed the liberation of Nigeria from the British conquest and occupation, which the Igbo had spearheaded and sustained since the 1940s, the Hausa and fulani had been assured and rigged into supreme political power by the out-going colonial government and that perverse tradition of violating democratic principles for individual, ethnic, regional and religious gains they have striven to maintain at all cost brutally quashing dissent with the military.

That is why the whole of the black race is in darkness." - Asari Dookubo. Nigerian Tribune. August 17,08

  • "The conquest to the sea is now in sight. When our god-sent Ahmadu Bello said some years ago that our conquest will reach the sea shores of Nigeria some idiots in the South were doubting its possibilities. Today have we not reached the sea? Lagos is reached. It remains Portharcourt. It must be conquered and taken.." --- Mallam Bala Garuba. West African Pilot Newspapers. December 30, 1964.

  • There wasnt any de facto war at all, south east of nigeria was a recognised part of nigeria, then an idiot with shallow imagination thought he could threaten it he got slapped on the butock, he then went on to exile, then my great country nig pardoned him and out of share unity gave him is pension. suprisingly, another hallucinating man, nicknamed okoroman is now trying to bring a dead ideology back to to life. Get on with it.we have no worries, its only an imagination.

  • "Chief Enahoro who alleged that only cowards and corrupt leaders in the country are afraid of discussing the problems confronting Nigeria with their opponents, he stressed that the present generation must avoid the mistakes of the past." -- An excerpted report on Chief Enahoro's speech at Ralph Uwazurike's Mother's burial . Daily Sun Newspapers. Monday January 21, 2008.

  • "he stressed that the present generation must avoid the mistakes of the past." You're contradicting yrself, bec u are making the same mistake that ojukwu made in teh past. I do also agree that discussion and dialogue can help, he didnt clamour for secession like you.

  • Yormeey, Owambe oil money your criminal oligarchs have been squandering for 37 years is not theirs. It was stolen by those thieves, rogues and parasites. Your case for you and them is weak. Very weak indeed. Your texts are pathetic. Nigeria is dying and must die because it is evil and had shed millions of innocent blood and brought untold suffering to millions.

  • Ojukwu tried to sell mineral for cheap during the war. That is also squandering.

  • There is something called self-determination, we have a right to exit a union that perpetrated genocide on our people. Colonialism is long gone, any people that is hiding under the guise of "recognised part" to colonise others is a dubious and evil country. And that is what Nigeria is which presently occupies our land by force of arms.

  • self determination indeed, how many people from the southeast did consult b4 he declared 'biafra' independent. You have always refused to mention some in the south-south that even think they are marginalise suring biafra.

  • "Mr. Robert S. Goldstein has resigned as publicist for Biafra because of the refusal by the Biafran authorities to accept the establishment of land corridors for emergency food shipments... He was said to have returned fees. retainers and bonds totalling $3m.-Reute." The Times, August 13, 1968

  • "Your mother(Ralph Uwazurike's) has joined the ranks of other doughty women such as Mrs Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, whose exit from our world was also undoubtedly accelerated by injuries she sustained during the infamous raid on Fela's shrine, the Kalakuta Republic under military regime. Many would claim that the eight years under the immediate past civilian regime (Obasanjo's regime) were not markedly different from the actual military despotic rule." - Wole Soyinka. Champion News December 28, 2007

  • we she compared his mother in term of injury sustained not in term of Mrs ransome kuti's contribution to Nigeria. Never ever compare them in term of achievement.
