  • Creativity, originality, flavor, personality, fresh beats and lyrics that rode the beat...I was a freshman in high school bangin' this joint. This was album defined a part of hip hop that shouldve survived the times... 32 now and still bangin' it! Lets keep the real music alive! Peace....

So many memories in this crazy tune for me.

    > Professor DLC

  • @DLCOrganization LOL!!! tell it

  • Man, I'm 32.. Huge metal-head, but this is what I grew up with. I live and breathe Old School. I would save my paper-route money, to go out and buy the newest CD's coming out at the time.. and this is by far one of my favorite CD's ever. I feel sorry for people who never got to enjoy this music when it was new and fresh and innovative.

  • mockkomoun that is pushing it too far. I live pharcyde but illmatic is on a different plateau by itself. Nas was in a few words on his Ace on that album. Great thing though is that 99 percent of albums that came out 94 and before are classic :)

  • People think lil wayne n souja boy are better than this because they have no idea what real hip hop is all they know is what they hear on the radio which is the top 40 garbage songs over and over. These kids are ruining hip hop by listening to and downloading that crap, worst thing about it is they dont even know their doing it. Old school will be dead before we know it if some1 doesnt tell that lil wayne what a piece of shit he really is

  • at 3.45 can you see the eyes in the background of the telephone box,he is dead because he got knocked over.and at 3.41 if you see a better picture video they is a skellton in da backgroung also trust me you have to look proberly

  • damn like every one else this takes me back rember the the good days damn miss them so much!!

  • this used to be my shyt i abosolutly love this whole album because it was sick and i liked if i were president!!!! ....i had to insist i had to insist that i put up your p*$#y with my fist. LMAO!

  • mmmmm nom nom You taste so intelligent!! haha

  • This takes me back to some of my favorite years.

  • did any one else see J-Swift's face at the end?

  • On of my favorite albums growing up. These guys and Souls of Mischief had their own sound back then when everyone else tried to sound like Dre & Snoop. Classic.

  • I'm 15 and I listen to all of their shit!! Pack the pipe is their best song!!

  • Yeah! This is what I call hip-hop!!! REspect to Fatlip, he is absolutely nuts but it's actually working in the songs :D

  • man it would of been awesome to be born in the 70s, i would of went school bopping my head to this on my headphones and i would of been around when good hip hop was first invented

  • hey just cuz we are born later doesn't mean we cant still bump this shit.

  • @joecrow24 thats true i am still bopping my head to this but it would of been more sicker to of been there in that erra

  • Its jokes cos I'm 20 and I was listenin to this when I was about 13 (thanks to my bro!) and for me, this is old skool! How strange how things work innit!

  • i thought that this would never be ol' skool!! now i'm 31 skool'n youngstas aboutr hip-hop!!

  • wow!! man this brings back memories

  • Word im 19 too and i bumped this cd like everyday last summer, classic shit

  • I'm 35, picked up on these cats right when they came out... just wanted to give you some props for checking out some older stuff man. I'm just always hyped on younger cats with an interest in old stuff. Good on ya man.

  • Classic rap group!

  • hahaahaha awesome.......

  • U can't beat the oldskool bitches!!!!!!

  • Im 20 and from los angeles but i have an older bro whos about 29 now and has all of the 90's hip hop! stuff albums to get blazed 2 & all dat. Man hip hop was dope back then! and will always live on no matter what. right folks??

  • lol what is wrong w/ fatlip

  • druuuuuugzz nigga. i saw this documentary about how hes been on skid row. was a while back.. dunno if hes still there

  • Before Hypnotize by BIG you did not see artists talking about all the money they had or the cars they drove... Since then EVERYONE talks about money and cars and women. Creativity went out the window when the artists did not have to struggle. The struggle had already been done. Now these new artist come in not knowing about the struggle and just bit off of their predecessors. 80's and 90's hip hop is where it's at.

  • after listening to Passin me By over and over and over again i decided i was going to buy this album. my god, it is real art, rivaling Illmatic. Im only 19 and wish i was old enough in the 90's to experience this music when it first dropped.

in regards to this song, am i sick in the head if i think the final verse (phone call) is one of the most epic moments in music history?

  • Man hip-hop in the Nineties had everything, dances, lyrics, beats, scratching, ill production, creativity... we mourn its passing...

  • I'm 35... The music during from 1990-1996ish... Creativity, lyrics, beats, artists... it was all beautiful. Hip Hops Golden era.

  • @tbrooks3638 fat lips part was awsome. I agree with you about the 90's hip hop. this album was amayzing

  • im 19 too, but Bizzare Ride II was the second album I ever bought... got it back in 97, hah... second grade!!! in hindsight, this music was much better for a kid then eminem and all that other crap coming out by that point.

  • eminem isn't crap sorry neema328

gucci mane is though. Em had encore that was his only bad album give him a break relapse was good.

  • ehhh, i didnt really like relapse much. i'm just saying better for a SEVEN year old. i remember driving to school at some point in elementary school with an eminem tape in the dash. em saying something along the lines of "change the grade on the paper, or ima staple ur nuts to this paper" and my mom threw my tape outa the window... hahha.

  • @derp1990

haha, yes the phone call is amazing.

Its funny too, these guys were constantly om lsd trips during this album, mabye thats why its so far ahead of its time.

its cool you are 19 kid listening to this shit,im 34 and feel old sometimes but im happy i witnessed this when it came out.

keep digging and you,l find so many gems from the early to mid ninties.

    Peace

  • @derp1990 man u my age and we have the same exact taste in music werd we need to kick it one day6 and tlk music iam in l.a. and i met fatlip and buckwheed all the time and i bleew and el wit buck

  • @derp1990 illmatic is nuthin compared to this. it's brilliant though, but these albums don't battle in the same league.

  • @mockkomoun Interesting opinion!

  • @mockkomoun woah...illmatic was a great album...dont even go there...the pharcyde were pioneers but they cant do what Nas did

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 aahah true dat pharcydes dope but nas is goat

  • @mug04life how can you compare a group to one person for one lol? and they have two completely different styles and topics they touch.

  • Well, what can I say, Playa? Nas and The Pharcyde are respective classes by themselves. Nas is a solo act with his circle of producers and The Pharcyde was a GROUP with their set of producers. The dynamics of a group act differ completely from what a solo act brings to the table and vice versa, especially when they have such VAST talent and lyrical prowess as The Pharcyde and Nas. > Professor DLC
  • @derp1990 ever hear of freestyle fellowship?? much more verbal, less lyrical?? if you know what i mean?? inner city boundaries is a good place to start

  • @derp1990 your a sick mofo

  • @derp1990 WORD! I did get to hear all of this era when it was brand new and it still give me the same vibe like it did back then, minus the drugs.

  • @derp1990 NO UR NOT SICK, IT IS ONE OF THE MOST EPIC MOMENTS IN MUSIC HISTORY!!!

  • @derp1990 if you like this check out old "lords of the underground" not quite the same but another relevant hip hop group from the 90's

  • @derp1990 im 18 and feel the same way

  • @derp1990 This album wasn't commercially successful sadly.

  • "you're so inteligent"

  • actully its "you taste you intelligent"

  • ACTUALLY its "you taste SO intelligent"

  • PURE L S D

  • im bout to buy this album again for the 4th time. i keep losing them.

  • good your still coming back

  • I even get the younger generation(well younger than me) to listen.

  • yh im 18, really its about taste. I dont see how someone can find lil wayne better than this

  • Comment removed
