  • arrrhahahahaha - best answer to a question ever

  • Comment removed

  • When the surgeons open up Rudd on the table, they see he will have no heart...

Maybe they should pull that knife out of his back as well, you seeing this Gillard!

  • cant believe we voted this BRILLIANT govt out and inherited the rubbish we have today if it aint broke why fix it? the rudd/gillard/brown experiment has failed bigtime we need an election now!

  • 19 people have contributed to the ruining of Australia!!!!

  • Peter Costello - the greatest Treasurer Australia has ever had.

  • if this man had some balls he would have made an awesome PM

  • hahaha ohhhh rudd

  • wow its so funny watching this video......julia totally fucked him in the ass

  • Childish childish childish..... Bunch of children....

  • A seasoned politician like Rudd should of known to face Costello. Not doing so makes him look like a childish asshole. I guess his ego and latent narcissism got the better of him.

  • If you've ever seen an episode of Hollowmen, that's Costello personified. I'm sure he was saying to himself "Cascade is a form of beer" the whole day.

  • I wonder how long he practiced that answer in the mirror. In all seriousness, Costello is the laziest Treasurer in Australian history. In 11 years he didn't make one structural reform to the Australian economy (Howard deserves all the credit for the GST) and just sat back hoping he'd get to be Prime Minister. The Liberal Party dodged a bullet when he declined the leadership in 2007!

  • Rudd was turned around because he didn't want to get knifed in the bac~~ohwait

  • The new paradigm rubbish isn't nearly as entertaining as this.

  • Kevin Rudd was the second worst Australian PM ever. Wasted billions of our prosperity with his stupidity and mis-management.

  • Those people who voted for Kevin 07 ... hang your heads in shame. He inherited a strong economy, spent the surplus and then plunged the country in debt. Even his own comrades saw it and ousted him. For those protesting for him as wonderful, ask yourself why none of his comrades had faith in him!

  • It seems that labour parties all around the world are economic illiterates, but then again at least yours didn't say "no boom and bust".

  • There all dogs. You could argue till the cows come home but the fact is that they promise alot and give fuck all in return. So long as they get there extra pocket money ahead of the rest. Id would be surprised when a group of poli's actually deliver on the hard sell items that get them elected

  • cascade is a form of beer, mr speaker

    lol

  • you sad, sad, sad liberal losers... suck it up bitches

  • @raff23 your seriously fucking retarted if you honestly think kevin rudd did a good job as pm your iq must be in single figures heres a list of his fuckups 1 fuel watch 2 grocery watch 3 insulation in roofs 4 his policy on boat people 5 building over priced school halls 6 back flip on the ets 7 his mining tax which will cost jobs 8 his promise to fix hosipitals which are worst now than ever he is a complete and utter useless cunt a fraud good ridance you fucking 4 eyed nerd

  • Kevin Rudd was the only PM that spent money on infustructure ... do you understand anything about a growing population moving forward needs more infustructure? or do you prefer the Liberals don't spend our tax and keep us in the dark ages...

  • The Liberal party do not like spending money on infustructure etc.. they prefer to keep Australia suppressed. By suppressing the Australian people, it keeps the Liberal Party on top....They Liberal party only spend tax payers money to bogus companies who are run by their fat cat mates....

When Kevin Rudd went into office he found so many John Howard Liberal Party rorting scams and bogus company contracts that showed billions of dollars that had been trasfered to these bogus companies.

  • We love you Kevin Rudd...

  • Check out the kitchen cabinet huddling each other while they sharpen knives for each other. Julia wouild be next if they get back into power...god help us.

  • Peter was Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia from 11 March 1996 to 3 December 2007, the longest serving Treasurer in Australia’s history.

During this period he eliminated the Commonwealth Government net debt of $96 billion.

  • Peter Costello was Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia from 11 March 1996 to 3 December 2007, the longest serving Treasurer in Australia’s history.

During this period he eliminated the Commonwealth Government net debt of $96 billion.

  • j-lard is just as useless people, this governmet is a failed experiament, time to cut our losses.

  • Costello was a great politician, would have liked it if he had run for PM last election.

  • Krudd and his cruddy cronies are wrecking Australia. Costello was a hundred percent correct. Kevin O'lemon.

  • Krudd and his cruddy cronies are wrecking Australia. Costello was a hundred percent correct. Kevin O'lemmon.

  • Its kinda funny how this arguement applies to the Labour government today because I don't think Kev really had a clue back then and still doesn't have a clue today (i.e. mining super profits tax)

  • Kim Jong Krudd

  • Rudd is a fucken ignorant chimp! Australia voted for a dumb ass and we're just starting to feel the pinch. This is just the beginning. The worst is yet to come!

  • The $42 BILLION the Libs were sitting on when Labour came to power was to be put into trust against the UNFUNDED liability created when Government Superanuation came into effect in the late 80's.

The UNFUNDED liability was at 180 Billion in 2007 and the 42 Billion in trust was to keep that unfunded liability at 180 Billion.

The longer it goes UNFUNDED, the bigger it gets, the bigger it gets, the less money we have to spend on fixing or funding new projects in the future.

  • i believed kevin rudd is doing good for the country in long run, our country was in debt one part becos the way of running it was not efficient, and howard didnt dare to change or improve on, becos he knows public will have big reaction on reforming. ** i mean the government is in debt, and which approach u think would make the public happy and still fix the debt? its none.**

i will vote for rudd still..

  • I fucking hate politicians, they only care about themselves and they talk bullshit in public.

  • @ symons3569 You're exactly right. Also, if the GFC had occured while we still had that $96 billion Labor debt over our heads, what would we have done? There would be no funding to put into anything! NOTHING!

  • Australia is ruled by a single party, the big business party. It has two factions, the ALP and the Coalition. Vote Socialist Alliance No.1, exercise real democracy and end the two faction business party dictatorship!!

  • I just want to add one word to the end of that speech by Costello...Amen! Rudd you are a rude and ignorant fool!~

  • why the fuck does everyone keep paying for these clowns, they are like littel fucking children in a room and we elect them to run our country ???

  • Hehe, this better than UK parliament.

  • Bloody oath....

  • ripped

  • Rudd is still on training wheels(now as PM) and this country is cascading down the plug hole. Come back Pete!!! What's a Abbott & Costello show without the Costello component!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are the biggest douche ever.

  • i think kevin rudd won in this situation

  • Yeah lol. Not having an idea about your own Tax Policy is win!

Infact they still dont know and are making up taxes on a regular basis, aka ETS.

  • @STEVEEBEE Mr/Mrs Rudd should telephone /confront Peters/Abbots parents

  • kevin got burnt to the ground by peter

  • I wish Costello had become Prime Minister. :(

  • Comment removed

  • wake up nitwit. clearly you have no understanding of costello's impact on the australian political side of things, labor couldnt manage the budget of a dole bludger let alone an economy. liberal saved us, clearly there would have to be some sacrifice from the liberals but it is only minor compared to dumb labor, people who support labour want money for nothing, and any dope who doesnt see that arent worth a low income earning wage

  • They've gone down because the RBA is trying to stimulate the economy.

  • please dont get angry at me i dont know much about politics but how come john howard there?

  • omg that was a stupid question, dont worry i answered it hehehe

  • I believe this was taken in May - June 2007 whilst the Liberal government was still in power (being voted out in November 2007)

  • Watching this makes me hate Krudd even more.

  • Bring back howard and costello, rudd and swan are absolutely useless

  • God Bless you Road Runner, if we weren't stuffed with bogans he would still be in, and Costello would be running the country.

  • I am by no means a Liberal party supporter...but Costello would make a great opposition leader.

  • labor spends money like a credit card..just buys, buys, buys BEFORE they get the income.

John Howard payed cash...HE LET US WAIT UNTILL HE HAD THE MONEY TO PAY CASH! ..ie..made sure the morgage was paid and had enough in the bank first!

    Wonderful job John Howard!

  • I always used to watch Parliament Question Time every time i could it was around the time of this video and Kevin Rudd would ALWAYS turn his back to the Liberal bench, he pretended to talk and look through paperwork.

I would have loved every Australian who thought Rudd was excellent to actually watch Kevin Rudd in Question Time, THAT is when you see the real him, a rude person, who is clearly nothing when compared to the Liberals.

  • "I ask the Leader of the Opposition to turn around and face the front please."

ahahah, i love that line, Costello is brilliant he sounds like a teacher telling off a naughty kid.

    Costello for PM please!!

  • He knows bugger all: he gets told what to say! NO ONE WATNS COSTELLO AS HE BACKS DOWN FROM THE TRUE TESTS OF CHARACHTER SUCH AS DEFENDING SLAVES-HAVE-NO-CHOICES IN OPPOSITION! You can only try and deny it....

  • Well you're perfectly mentaly fit to vote aren't you?

  • well you can all go likin the labour government now with predictions of a 60 billion dollar deficit, man how ironic is this ...

  • Damn right.

  • You lost Fag!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • Perfect, Peter costello made a fool out of Rudd hahaha

  • Peter was the back bone of the liberal party. i hope he comes back :)

  • this man is such a legend and will be sorely missed!

  • Dubai no no tax

  • don't speak on behalf of us Peter, you know shit all.

  • he know more than Rudd, more than you and certainly more than me. go do some research and post all the big moves rudd has done, you will find he is a "toxic bore"

  • What 'history'? a few opinion polls since the last election? let's wait and see how popular Rudd is in a few years time when 'working families' are struggling to pay of the billions of dollars of debt he has saddled us with, shall we?

  • @kevvys1a1woos dude you do realise that every single modernised country is in debt or even worse bankrupt? Australia is in the best shape of them all. The reason we had a good economy was because howard let the money sit there and accumulate without actually fixing any problems, now that rudd is spending money to try and fix these problems he gets bagged for sending us into deficit? didnt know being proactive was such a crime.

  • @raff23 Fixing problems? Hes WASTING money. Break down his spending since he has been in office and you will be shocked at how much as literally been pissed away.

  • @raff23 He hasn't fixed anything you numbskull. Health and hospitals, national broadband, education revolution, NT indigenous housing, ETS, GP super clinics, childcare centres, grocery watch, fuel watch. I don't think this shows he has been proactive but rather, he has promised a lot and delivered nothing.

  • @raff23 'without fixing any problems' eh? err.. how about paying off $96 BILLION DOLLARS OF LABORS DEBT?! If the Libs hadn't had THAT problem to fix, they could have done a lot more. And now we are going the the same road again! -billions of debt to pay off! And yes, maybe Howard did let money accumulate so that he could have done some good, but just when he could, what happened?- Idiots voted in Krudd and he wasted it all! And where would we be now if that money had NOT been accumulated?!

  • @kevvys1a1woos yea he would have used all that money on a stupid policy called workchoices, Paying of 96 billion dollars of debt, right ok, If people in this country werent such whingers about being in debt and wasting money than maybe they could open their eyes to the bigger picture. Keating revolutionised the economic system, call that bullshit all you like it is the truth, there was always going to be short term pain for long term gain because of it.

  • @kevvys1a1woos howard used that excuse for years "we cant do anything because we are too busy paying off the billion dollar debt labor built up", a debt which is justifed because it revolutinised the economy. The fact is howard had no intention bringing anything worthwhile to the table in the 10 years he was in charge, he didnt need to.

  • @kevvys1a1woos Both of your have to look at the bigger picture and stop being so narrow minded.

The Howard Government was governing the country though an economic boom. And yes he did let the money sit there and didn't use it to improve infrastructure and such however is he did spend the money it would have resulted in a massive injection into the circular flow and could have potentially increased inflation. You can argue both points.

  • @celestialssoul The Rudd government was able to keep us out of recession. Pull your heads out of the sand and realize that we are leading the way in a recovery. Yes we have some debt but it is NOTHING and i mean NOTHING to the detriment that countless other countries are in.

Kevin Rudd did make mistakes as all Prime Ministers do however to say he did a bad job is just demonstrating your ignorance of how well we are doing in comparison to the rest of the world.

  • @raff23 what the FUCK has kevin rudd fixed? he sure as hell hasn't fixed my roof with the retards fresh in the insulation industry who turned up with a 3 year old -who we had to babysit!!!- and electrified ur roof because they used tinfoil as insulation over the top of electrical wires. fuck him and his socialist bullshit- abbott '10!!! besides the point of the vid is that rudd knows jack about the australian economy and is only out to serve his own ego and get a pat on the back wherever he can.

  • @kevvys1a1woos I know this is a year since your last comment but I can say for a fact the Kev is showing his true colours as being an EPIC fail at everything he has attempted.

  • @kevvys1a1woos lol he's not even PM anymore!

  • Its amazing how many votes you can buy with stimulus packages.

  • Disturbing about how so many Australians don't understand what 57.6 billion in debt means. They still think Rudd is a good PM.

  • yes, it took the Libs 11 years to pay off $96 billion of Labor debt they inherited. Now there's talk of $200 - $300 billion, and who knows it could be even more, so at the same rate it will take two to three decades, or more!, and we don't have Telstra to sell now like we did then.

  • @kevvys1a1woos hear hear

  • @symons3569 u also fail to understand that in order for things to change for the better money needs to be spent to achieve this, it is not rocket science. If dimwits like you stop whinging and moaning about how were wasting money, were in debt the sky is falling etc than you would be able to see what is actually going on. Unfortunately for rudd he is trying to win over a nation of tightarses and clueless nimrods.

  • @symons3569 he was the only PM that spent money on infustructure ... do you understand anything about a growing population moving forward needs more infustructure? or do you prefer the Liberals don't spend our tax and keep us in the dark ages...

  • @ChrisRoubis You are an economic idiot. The Liberals did EXACTLY what Keynes said to do which was save during the good times so you could spend during the bad. Keynes never said that you should be spending during the good times and he also never agreed that you should be raising taxes during the bad.

  • @bonfirejovi who's the economic fool? who's good times are we talking about... John Howards? Open your eyes and look at the past 13 years of suffering underfunded facilities and Australians at the hands of John Howard.. We know which way you swing dude.. say no more.

  • @ChrisRoubis You seem to have conveniently forgotten Keating's constant requirement for us to do some "belt tightening". Maybe you're too young to remember ? Anyway the second half of the Hawke/Keating era was tragic ! Real wages growth was returned by the best party for workers, business and economic management and administration. Unfortunately they haven't had a go for 3 or 4 years.....

  • @symons3569 and what is that level of debt now??? I bet the ever shrinking ALP support base don't even want to know about it let alone hear it!!

  • @symons3569 Exactly! He was an utter failure, but like Labor's Bligh, Labor's Kinneally and Labor's Gillard, he sulked on camera and somehow his 50 billion debt was forgiven.

  • @JDeguara WHAT ABOUT NOW FAG???

  • haha woooooo snap go costello, oh wow what i surprise now that labour is back in power we are going to have a deficit.

  • and yet when costello gave the tax rates.. he had to look down at his paper for every single number.

  • at least he knew the answer dick head!!!!!

  • Are you an idiot? Yes he did know the answers, because he had a piece of paper sitting in front of him with the numbers. I'm sure if Rudd had a piece of paper with all the Tax rates he would have given the correct numbers as well.

    Learn sentence comprehension.

  • hahahah ur an absolute dick head with clearly no idea.

yes costello looked down at a sheet of paper to name that the thresholds but he then he whent on to explain about thresholds. this is why ur argument is stupid

rudd is a stupid idiot just except that

i beg u not to try and stick up for the rudd labour government because i will flog u in that argument

  • I'm a right wing liberal, in support of Turnbull as leader of the opposition.

Costello was one of the best treasurers this country has ever had, no argument about it. But he looked stupid telling Rudd that he didn't know the Tax thresholds, than having to look down at his paper and tell them.

I'm not a mindless sheep Liberal like your self, if the party I support makes a mistake I'm going to point it out.

  • im not a stauched liberal either but i thaught ur commment was stupid never the less.

costello knew them obviously and was pronbablt only looking because if he stuffed up it would be embarising!

  • It would be hillarious soap opera weekly on the tv.

  • " I ask the leader of the opposition to turn around and face the front please."

he sounds like a teacher talking to a rude little child.

    kevin rudd sucks!

  • Comment removed

  • Costello is excellent!

  • wow, GO COSTELLO in 10/11 election :-) Rudds a wanker.

  • Costello sure is good at what he does!!

  • costello for PM, NO KEVIN IN 11

  • Hey that's a good slogan. I like that!

    NO KEVIN ELEVEN!!

  • RUDD IS FULL OF FUCKING SHIT 09

    Like that slogan

  • fuck k rudd, bring back jho any day of the week

  • Look at Howard.... He looks up to Costello, "save me, save me always!"

    Costello - Leader of Australia 1995 - 2007

  • Costello for PM 2011

  • rudd knows fuck all about economics it's like we're in a bus going down a hill with no driver

  • It really is astounding that he didn't know the tax rates. Say what you will about the libs, but seriously the PM is the highest public office in the land and is not a job you should just 'wing'. Some of his actions as PM to date haven't been too bad, but when I watch this I cannot help but feel concerned we are in for many years of 'spin' and no substance.

  • "The great problem with Kevin Rudd's prime ministership is the emptiness - the gap between the rhetoric and reality " - Malcolm Turnbull, 20/9/08. :)

  • i voted liberal

  • come back peter YOUR NEEDED

  • What exactly would be different now about the economy under the Liberals? Why didn't Howard question Bush about the federal reserve printing billions of fake dollars contributing to the recession?, he also went along with the war in Iraq costing trillions which we are now hearing also contributed to the recession. Australia being interlocked with the global economy had every right to raise questions over Americas careless spending but we went along with it and supported them when they did!

  • Australians must be getting dumber by the generation to have elected the milky bar kid as PM. Greed is what got him into power. Australians are greedy, they want more and more and Kevin Rudd kept feeding their greed. Now look at what we have for a government. Call Howard a liar, a cheat, a racist or whatever else helps you sleep at night but Australia was a much more confident country when he was in charge.

  • "The legacy of the former Liberal Government is one that we should all want to own. Australia was a stronger, prouder and more prosperous nation in November 2007 than it had been in March 1996. A major reason why the former government remained in office for so long was that it governed in a predictable and consistent fashion. Love us or loathe us, and there were plenty of both, the Australian people knew what we believed in and what we wished to achieve for their country." - John Howard, 19/2/09

  • "He has no plan because he has no understanding"

Only 12 months in power and the ALP and Rudd have STUFFED THINGS UP AGAIN!

Rudd is a megalomaniac, a populist fool and an incompetent bungling moron. He is an embarrassment to all Australians and is quickly leading Australia on a path to nowhere.

  • What has he stuffed up? Kevin Rudd has experienced some difficulties but his achievements far outnumber his failures (e.g. saying sorry, Climate Change, Ratifying Kyoto, solutions for the economic crisis, funding to help people with depression and alcoholics and tackling homelessness. John Howard also had his achievements and his difficulties. Saying that he is leading Australia to nowhere is completely unreasonble and to say he is incompetent is unjustified and unfounded.

  • Saying sorry can hardly be considered an achievement. He hasn't done anything to actually tackle climate change, merely pulled a few little publicity stunts that make some people believe he's trying to do something about it. The Kyoto protocol is practically a joke and ratifying it doesn't actually change anything, and so also cannot be considered an achievement... Oh and a solution for the economic crisis that is simply "throw money at the issue and hope for the best". Charming ;)

  • Costello run run run run run away and hide

  • God this guy Costello is such a loser.

  • Howard lied to the country? Let history make its judgment, but the 11 years under John Howard were the most prosperous we have ever experienced. Hotchrislee, did you follow politics over the last 10 years or are you making these statements off what you saw on today tonight? Wake up to the world

  • Miss the liberals in government. They made and ran this country.

  • thumbs up to that one mate

  • NO ONE LIKES FUCKING KEVIN RUDD

  • Correction. Only retards like Kevin Rudd

  • Man, the Australian Speaker of the House is so much so laxed and chills than the Canadian one. Ours has his robe on too tight and has to stand up every five seconds. Good on ya, Aussies!

  • so childish

  • it may appear childish but its important to the future of every Australian

  • dumbarse piece of fucking shit

nah just kidding, everyone had the right to an opinion

but then again shut the fuck up

  • lolz...gotta love question time

  • thanks so much for putting this up. I remember that day well. Of course, Wayne is still living off of the work of Howard and Costello, but they are coasting toward oblivion.

  • John Howard was Australia's best ever prime minister, I hope Pete Costello does come back!

I am financial better off because of what the liberals done in the last 11 yrs.

Labour gets in 8 months ago, things are going down hill fast!

  • costello is sooooooooooo good at what he does i can trust him and his team better then that wayne swan dick head that only says 'working families'

  • costello is a genius, who wouldn't want this man running Australia? I mean look at the other candidates out there? Mark Latham, Kevin Rudd - WTF most aussies most of came out of the oven prematurely, i.e. half baked fwits?

  • LOL! We really must wonder about the IQ of the average Aussie. They bought the Kevin07 no substance hype and rhetoric. His 'education revolution' for example- poorly conceived like most Labor efforts. Rudd forgot to allow for infrastructure currently estimated at $2-3 billion and likely to be paid for by parents. And his 'working families' have been well and truly abandoned in favour of perennial globe trotting- cost of living, petrol, inflation, etc, all up- and watch that unemployment rate!

  • Just goes to show just how mature not to mention disrespectful the arrogant asshole rudd is.

  • costello was amazing! better then them all!

  • Costello you were amazing,

Rudd is an absolute joke and fake!

  • for someone that has such an appetite for our tax dollars you would think he'd have a school-yards understanding of the basics.

Rudd is a snakes-cunt, and a criminal one at that.

  • Costello's final sentence should have been;

"He has no plan because he has NO FUCKING IDEA"!!

What a dud Krudd is. An embarrassment to us all.

  • Well Howard didn't either and he was PM for 10 years. Yet, he was thrown out.

  • finbar3000 you stated

Well Howard didn't either and he was PM for 10 years. Yet, he was thrown out. YES because voters like yourself were sucked in by DUDDS promises and union propaganda. You will suffer you know. The grass doesn't seem as green now that DUDD is in.

  • hahahaha good video. hopefully the australian public will very soon realise the mistake they made last november.

  • You would hope so , but the said fact is the morons that voted labour will then believe whatever bullshit rudd spins them as to it is out of there hands and not there fault.

  • lol you should be a comedian

  • The EX-member of Deakin has been DUMPED!!! Thank god.

  • oh peter where'd you go? i miss you so much

  • Come on Kevvy, this video posting is complete hipocracy - If I recall in an interview earlier this year, John Howard didn't even know the official RBA interest rates!

  • Where's the hypocrisy? It's a video of something that happened it parliament. There's videos on YT of Howard's interview where he gets the RB rate wrong too. Are you going to be telling them that that's hypocrisy also?

  • AHAHAHAHAHA your an idiot mate go back to faging rudd (kevin rudd... i hate that man so much) let him tell you what you want to hear so that me may verbaly rape you like he did most of australia

  • Yeah ok mate - whatever. I think it's time you went back to school - your grammar is appalling. Between "I hate the man so much" and "verbally rape you" I dont understand what the fuck you are talking about!!! You live in Aruba - what the fuck do you know about my country!!!

  • Did anybody see that poll that came out recently that I think was either posted on yahoo7 or smh? It asked whether people think that even poorer countries should gear their economies towards cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Something like %80 of around 20,000 votes said 'yes'. It tells you how much our nation has been sucked in by all this global warming bull#$%^.

  • well put Mr Costello

  • It is quite pathetic that there are still fans of John Howard out there. Look at the things he has done to this country and you will see that he does not give a shit about any of you.

  • The 2007 Australian Federal Election sadly was a win for Communism over Capitalism. Our strong alliance with the USA has been totally destroyed. The Labor Party's so called 'Education Revolution' is to teach our kids to be forced to believe in Communism and be forced to learn Chinese. As a consequence of the election result, I am going to move out of Communist Australia and move to Capitalist USA. I will return to Australia when The Coalition is elected into Government again.
