  • the audio sounds very distorted. Is this the transmitter audio??

  • This transmitter you can set the RF power output between 0 and 25 watts. Go back and read the website.

I have mine set at .9 of a watt in and with an aerial gain and feed loss, I have 1 Watt out put . All Professional FM transmitter you can set the RF output power. Broadcast Warehouse make the best transmitter but it's TVI attenuation is not as good as the Tugicom.

  • I have had one of these transmitter on the air for 5 years. Its as clean as a whistle. But all FM transmitter need a professional compressor limiter. The cost of a good unit is about the same price as a transmitter. This unit is vital with LPFM.You can't get something for nothing especially with LPFM. I run mine within the specs and I can cover 3 miles. But thats with a highly efficient aerial with an SWR of 1.1.

  • @ophir37 This transmitter cannot be used with a licensed LPFM or any licensed FM for that matter. Good for pirate operation only.

  • I hear soms serious distortion. I think this is because of overmodulation.

  • I want to buy a transmitter that cover at least 20 miles.

What do you guys recomend me? So, is this brand better than other ones.

What else do I need to make a radio station works?

  • Well you can buy a Transmitter that will cover 20 miles but you need to run 25 watts to do it. You also need a Dominator aerial as well. But you would have to get a licence from your country's authorities to do it I would say.

  • Isn't this illegal

  • @Aviator14 So is Jay Walking,

  • Nice unit! :-) - For the people saying it is overpriced compared with Chinese HLLY, Remember this, HLLY equipment can't be licensed it emits a lot of harmonics on other frequencies and for sure you will get into a lot of trouble using Chinese transmitters (they cause interference on other frequencies). The expensive units such as Tugicom TX25A don't cause these problems and 'some' of them can be licensed for use in community stations.

  • Let's see a test of this things range!

  • I have a "R. Scott Communications" 20 watt PLL Stereo FM Transmitter. It will do 28 watts but runs cooler at 20 watts. I get about the same range at 20 watts as i do with 28 watts. It has run great now for 14 years with no problems! The audio is fantastic! I use a Comet 5/8's wave 3 db gain antenna, SWR is low. It runs clean and causes no interference here. I paid just over $400 for it assembled in 1996. That's about $30 a year now for a great station! My range is 10 plus miles, not bad!

  • A little disappointed. Why the countdown to air? Pop the top and lets see what is inside to show that this is something of quality. Presentation looks like something you are aiming at the pirate radio crowd.

  • no offense but i used to have a tugicom 25 watt transmitter and don't get me wrong it sounded great and i loved it but i had static in less then 1 mile, my other cheap 5 watt transmitter didn't and went a little further

  • sory tugicom i can get the same quality from hllyelectronics if they were about 300 dollars cheaper i would defanitly go with you guys

  • You need to but the best transmitter you can get Broadcast Warehouse Transmitters are used by government agency's all over the world at Airports. shopping malls university and 100,s of radio station. You can obtain an excellent SWR with these units. The compressor limiter and the computer data interfaces make for a beautiful piece of electronics.

  • i would buy 1 if it wasn't so expensive...
