Also wanted to note that the moon has no atmosphere, and those look like meteors that have followed the orbital path of the moon until they were visible from the suns light. Just a small correction---you say 80 times digital. That is incorrect. It is only 4x digital. You were therefore using 20times optical. which obviously explains the higher resolution in your video. and detail. and more than compensate--or correct the "faults" in digital zoom. But a very good camera. I just got rid of the 495a. Thanx for vid!

We would need a day to go by at the rate of say 10 hours, then our rotaions will be off and we would see a different part of the moon. cause it's not a reflection, it's digital grouping cause during video encoding. that's why it's perfectly square , appears just as the bright side of the moon is passing that point, stays still in relation to the moon (and even the shaking of the camera) and both seem to be a inversions of small square areas, and both along the same exact horizontal line. I forget what causes them exactly, but they're just errors in the encoding, you get a ton of them when a dvd gets scratched.

@bcnewsvideo The real crazy stuff is the fact that the moons actually moving the opposite direction, the earth is rotating so fast it makes the moon seem to move the other way. Unless this is a mirrored image. But you figure the Earth rotates once every 24 hours, the moon takes 27-29 days (sidereal/synodic) to get around once. Incredible picture for a camera, you should try zooming in on Saturn some night.
