  • what a beautiful masterpiece, perfect for drawing.

  • Their music really draws you in, it's just impossible to forget Fever Ray music. I remember when my friend recommended this song for me a long time ago, and I said I didn't like it, but now I occasionaly just HAVE TO listen to Fever Ray :DD

  • layin` in the bathtub and shrivel away. THIS is magical!

  • Fever Ray is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. Would love to see a 2nd album coming out eventually ;)

  • I really don't like when she modifies her voice... I mean, she has a very sensual voice.

  • Sensual Awesome Great You Are

  • Nazim play tonight in Razac

  • Ich habe meine Zukunft gesehen ..... jetzt ....durch das Lied ....

  • "No tomorow, let us stop here. We did some great things....Didn't we?"

  • yes yes lots of capsules of energy

  • I've had this album for a couple of months, and I didn't really listen to it much until today I got hooked onto it. I can't stop listening to the entire album :D

  • fever ray just gives me strength. i love karin so much!

  • So good!!!!

  • THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE!VERY RARE IN THIS SEA OF SHIT THE WORLD IS DROWING IN!

  • @thorazine666 Well, this sea of shit is people around you, motherfuckers born blind. Don't you find it ironic, though, that your music is not even close to this? I listened to your latest uploaded video, and it's great rap, dude, but here is why I don't listen to h/h - it's immature. I listened to it and everything is fucking horrible, really (which is true), but I know that. I am strong enough to face it, strong enough to walk away from it, why would I listen to your music? No offence, mate

  • @thorazine666 All I'm saying is that your target populace is good people living in evil circumstances. (forgive me if i'm wrong, since I am not really familiar with your music, first imprssn) Karin's target populace is human nature. There is a difference between skimming the surface and bringing out the nature. This is true art. And you are a product of your surroundings, as most of us in U.S. are. Which is not bad, it's a great country, don't get me wrong. I'm just getting into some deep shit.

  • @thorazine666 I know I sound like a total fucking hipster douchebag, but I really am not.

  • @thorazine666 gurgle gurgle *spit* ahh i spat out shit... looks like this album cover

  • @thorazine666 ...pretty dark and moody stuff. Dig the stuff she's done alone more than what she did with The Knife.

  • @mutedisease actually she didnt do it "alone" look at the album personnel. wiki for example

  • I've had this album for a long time now, and I had the fortunate experience of seeing Fever Ray live, it was an amazing experience and this album is stunningly timeless.

  • Am I the only who thinks about the Metroid series while listening to this song?

  • @KCcassette definitely not! wow. small yet giant world.

  • this is certainly one of the most touching songs I've heard in a very long time

  • why does mainstream radio not play stuff like this, or is that a daft question

  • My mouth is getting dry and dusty while listening to this song, it's so amazing that my jaw is dropped in awe D: *repeats song over and over*

  • Everyone here seems just as hooked on this as I am. I've listened to this album and all of The Knife albums over and over since I first found them and I love them dearly.

  • I've been listening to this album for a few months now, and I still feel like I don't know the album completely and I can confidently say this is probably one of the most spectacular albums I have ever heard. BTW does anyone know if she has plans to make another album with this solo project? Oh God, I hope so <3

  • This song is so beautiful I fight not to cry when I listen.

  • Does anyone else love to listen to this song when they're high?

  • How I define greatness in a artist! play the shit out of an album for months, come back to it months later AND IT STILL SOUNDS AS FRESH AS EVER!.

  • One of my favorite songs to chill out of all time... I LOVE this sh*t =]

  • <3

  • good song, good performer, just now started listening to the knife.. awesome stuff. Very dark, i like it.. its a change from the norm thats for sure.

  • @kitchen867 Oh boy, are you missing out.

  • "your hand, my hand fits so easily, no tomorrow let us stop here, we did some great things ooh didn't we." sick lyrics i love this so much!!

  • In my opinion (and I'm ashamed to say that I am a new fan!) Fever Ray = music perfection :oD

  • everyone should go see her live. so powerful

  • fuck yer im feeling moist and soggy

  • 2:07-2:17

In return i get morning wood? LOL

  • i feel like im in the space

  • @jomapohe You might be in space then.

  • What a cool sound. I love this music.

  • Seeing this live made me cry. Twice.

  • fever ray is one of the few contempiorary indie band that have a personality and an intersting style....

    they're cool

  • It's a great song... but it makes me feel a teensy bit lonely. : ( Lol...

  • @missbritface just shut up you stupid toy

  • This is amazing. I just listened to it three times in a row.

  • I love the asian feeling :))

  • all you people are idiots, its karin singin everything, she just pitched down her voice

  • good 4 mush's :D

  • I CANT WAIT TILL BESTIVAL!!!

  • feel this voice under my skin . . .

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written. If I ever hear anything more marvelous than this, I'm pretty sure Karin will be the writer/composer.

  • excellent album!!

  • the build up is so brilliant. it makes me really emotional. first i feel all chilled by the warped vocals and then i get choked up when the harmony comes in and at 2:07 i fucking lose it.. those vocals kill me. in the most delightful way. the mixture of the low, warped vocals with her regular voice is so fucking brilliant.

  • brilliant!!!!

  • simply perfect.

  • Haunting........................

  • wow, this brings the word "deep" to levels unimaginable

  • Inspiring

  • grrreat

  • Best song on this album!!! Karin, you are the best!!!!!!!

  • Fever Ray have officially stopped existing, that news is two weeks old, they (Karin & Olarf) are concnetrating on making a Opera under their 'The Knife' brand.

  • Fever Ray still exists. I'm sure Karin will continue to do her solo work even after she's doen working as The Knife with Olaf. Now that the opera is done, though, I wonder what she'll do next. Is The Knife gonna release an actual album, or is it time for more from Fever Ray?

  • Fever Ray's debut is just flawless. It's dark, haunting, and so inspirational.

"Dry and Dusty" is my favorite track.

  • @swimlonely Me too... LOVE Dry and dusty.... and also "Concrete walls" and "Keep the streets empty for me"

    Awesome album.

  • everything is ok

  • Spread the word!

  • She is is s she not more rasprignalous as a little sparrow eating a strawbwerry raiiindrop?

  • this may be my favorite song of all time. "we are capsulez of energy."

  • openn my mindd, your music is very nicee!!

    play my videos!

    thanks!

  • goodness

  • couldn't disagree more. to me it feels deeper, more mature, unique...

  • I like them both equally to be honest, they are just different, i think Fever Ray seems more inspired by tribal nature sounds, or that's what i get from it. Its definitively darker but i dont think that makes it seem uninspired

  • i don't agree at all. it's VERY inspired AND inspirational. the song "when i grow up" (lyrics, videos, and music) has been very inspirational to me.

  • i saw her the 1st night at webster hall in ny on sept 28 2009. the best night of my life. :) vuk was amazing also. i met vuk afterwards who was such a sweetheart. i almost met karin til i got chased. lol

i was within arms reach too.

i love the harmonies in this song. my favorite line in this "never leave me, walk close beside me, your hand my hand, fits so easy."

  • i. totally. love. her. songs.

  • I went to her Chicago show yesterday!! Consider my mind blown! She was amazing, and I really enjoyed VUK as well!

  • i know im so excited its just few hours tll the concert happen n i cant wait for it also im listen to some songs of the group who opens the show its called VUK........

  • ill b at her concert today in chicago

  • I saw her yesterday...you´ll love it!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't get enough of this ....Fever Ray is the most refreshing artist I've heard this year!

  • of the last 10 years

  • Just perfect for this night!

  • o shit! awesome!

  • BEST

    SONG

    EVER

going to use it in a video

  • oh yes.. perfection... love love it

  • helt sinnsykt bra!

  • to jest zajebiste w chuj ;p

  • Wypas :)

  • This song was godly to hear at Roskilde Festival o.o Love Karin and her new project, turned out fucking awesome!

  • pure perfection

  • I´m so addicted, could she do a more perfect work?

The whole album, and this song, it reaches deep within

  • im glad she did her own project, its sounds really good to me.....

  • I simply love it <3

  • The Knife Is Back... I know that vois enywere

  • brilliant!

  • i understand when people say that this sounds like just another album by the knife, but the themes, lyrics and even some of the deeper sounds in her music are a lot darker and personal that the majority of the songs performed by the knife.

  • yeah it is kinda darker, but I still prefer the Knife though I really l.o.v.e. this

  • haha, I guess it depends on my mood. some days, I'm in a Fever Ray mood and on others, I just have to listen to the Knife more.

  • Yeah, I have that too. I always listen to fever ray and bjork during the night, and the knife during the day.

  • @ladyafrika

Exactly. My boyfriend, who listens to pretty much just three artists (Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, and Lady Gaga... what a combo), is starting to be able to tell between the two projects. Fever Ray also has the more organic element, and Olof introduces a few hip hop elements into their music as well...

  • @ladyafrika See, I really don't think this sounds like the Knife at all. I am in love with Fever ray and could listen to it all day, but (I know you'll hate me for this) The Knife doesn't do anything for me when I listen to it. The Knife is too upbeat for my liking compared to Fever Ray

  • @gzussturbo OMG! I absolutely hate you! Hahah, just kidding. At the end of the day, to each their own. By the way, The Knife have some less 'upbeat' songs such as, "The Captain", "NY Hotel", "Pass this on", "Neon" and "Lasagna". Just to name a few, definitely all worth a listen.

  • oh people. don't flatter yourselves.

  • olof does not sing in the knife at all. its karins voice warped to sound like a man's.

  • he do sing in the song "I keep my dick insid eof my pants""" the 24th song in "deep cuts"

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, the last minute is,,,,,,,,,,, wow!

  • easily one of the best tracks in the album. the last minute is sooooo gooood.

  • there is no "the" best track of the album. they are all the best tracks of the album...

  • Where has she been all my life? As a fan of D-Mode, Numan, Deadsy, Jarre and pretty much all synth purveyors, I have to say this is magic...finding another talent to collect. One of life's precious moments.

  • she has been in The Knife.

  • synth purveyors? better add skinny puppy in there. just as old and original.

  • You took the words from me. Couldn't agree more. This is manna for the ears.

  • Glad you agree. Have bought the CD and it is amazing. i listen to it in the car all the time.

I'll get her back catalogue next.

  • who is the male voice on karins 'fever ray' project ?

  • its only her voice. she has pitched it down.

  • @torsktunga everyone says that....but i disagree,; and no matter what anyone says if its not from the horses mouth than i dont believe it

  • @SORKAvsCAPOREIRA What is it that you disagree with? You don't believe she pitched down her voice? She has said in an interview she does it, and the reason for it.

  • @torsktunga who is the male voice in this song?

  • @Valholm i'm pretty sure it's her voice pitch-shifted, as she does in The Knife.

  • @Valholm it's fever ray herself......vocoder magic :D

  • as the person said she pitches it down notice how its the same as all the "male" voices on silent shout? same method

  • Karin is. She does the male voice in The Knife as well.

  • Olaf contributed vocals on some tracks, like Marble House.

  • Olof havet not done the vocals on marble house. Just pointing it out! He only do the music.

  • He sang the 2nd verse "you close my eyes and soothe my ears...". It's not Karin.

  • its not Olofs voice. its a singer called Jay Jay Johanson.

  • Hey I didnt know that, ty! I also thought it was olof.

  • @torsktunga I'm pretty sure its Karin's voice just with a fixed tone. I think the only song with extra outside contribution is Keep The Streets Empty For Me.

  • Pretty much the knife 4th album..

  • Not exactly and perhaps, but the Knife's true 4th will be produced after the concert work in Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • its hard to find a fav of fever ray. i would have to say "dry and dusty" "concrete walls" and "coconut" r my mostest favored!! i love @ 2:08 she sounds like an angel! the perfect couterweight to the deep, masculine altered voice earlier in the song. go karin!!

  • Aww I was going to upload it - damn you lol ^.^

  • I have heard the new album on my birthday party for the first time... The most beautiful gift!! Karin is amazing!

  • awesome!
