This song reminds me of my grandma who passed away from lung cancer. Before she was taken to the hospice where she died weeks later, they had her on so many drugs all she could see was her dead husband and merry go rounds. All the things he said he saw when he was on drugs for his brain tumour. Having to see her on so many drugs she hated was horrible. We watched her disinigrate.

It seems like there could've not been a single dry eye in that crowd at the end of that, that is the most emotional and possibly the best rehearsed live performance I've seen. And ya, I love the verve, nothing does it to me like "Slide away", and others, definately an underrated band, but at the same time I'm sure that they becon much respect and attention purely by there catalogue.

Yeah hoping The Verve tour. I saw them on Storm in Heaven tour in a tiny little bar in Minneapolis and it was just unreal. Then I had tickets to a show and they broke like 2 days before the show. Youtube "The Thaw Sessions". It's brilliant.
