  • This is practically what it's like today in the real world. Humans are greedy pigs that seek only money and fame- not caring about the ill, the homeless and the abandoned. They cut down all the trees to make a couple of bucks when trees help us breathe! Without plants, we would all die.

  • I think this movie is like the species that made it - long-winded, stupid and pretentious. It had so much potential, but squandered it on awful dialogue and flashy fighting. The ending is a perfect mirror image of us - the humans will just be back and nuke the whole planet to oblivion from orbit, just like heavy pollution and a ruined ecosystem will be back to bite us real-life humans in the ass in a few decades.

  • tttatta

  • Our world is beyond repair.

  • @Rahruck Fool.

  • @servyne why is he a fool? resources are running out buddy, its not like a magic Leprechaun is going to turn up at the last minute and make everything better. Your a fool for thinking the world is totally fine.

  • @liamdudeeee I agree, but as i reread my comment, I see I didn't write a single word about the world's condition... rather the origin from Avatar and Pocahontas' tale. So, I take it you're the fool for not understanding it. Nonetheless, I agree, resources are running out. And I poop rainbows, and yes, there are magical Leprechauns at its end.

  • @servyne I was replying to your comment to Rahruck, not the one above it. So i didnt read anything wrong.

  • @liamdudeeee Oh, xD, I forgot 'bout that one :P But our world isn't beyond 'repair'. Resources are running out, but that doesn't mean the end. We are an intelligent species. We are destroying our world, but we can undo most of what we did if we tried to. So it isn't beyond repair. It is beyond total repair.

  • Brilliant. My "the best" of Avatar OST. Several moments here send heart into collapse...

  • Why does anyone even care that this plot is similar to that of Pocahontas. Even if I agreed I wouldn't. It's an amazing film, with an amazing message. Even if it isn't "Original" it's a masterpiece all the same...

  • @eatmeseventimes And Pocahontas is similar to John Carter of Mars, like Avatar is turn. Every aspect of a tale originates from a mastermind in one era which is then used by all others. The greatest example being the Bible. Nonetheless, Avatar did what it was created to do: Entertain the fuck out of the world and sweep it off its foundations for the three hours inside the theater.

  • Titanic and Avatar are such different movies.

I dont know how James Cameron came up with them, theyre both so original

  • a lot of things and ideas in this movie come from ancient AZTEC they leaved in north America and i think the movie it is like imaginary epic for there life but i love it and a lot like me coz it is attached with our nature as humans love it

and something to say i get avatar depression after the movie hehehehe

  • I could make a really big thesis on this movie, whatever the aspect I'm going for.

  • @l098765432l Cameron made this a great movie- why screw it up with sequels?

  • @10tillsundown he planned to make sequels when he was making this film. Hes aiming for a three movie arch of a storyline. But i too hope he doesnt screw it up with the 2nd or 3rd film.

  • @10tillsundown because the sequel is ideal to continue the dream :D im happy the movie had an happy end.. but damn the dream ended.... lets continue it with the underwater world xD

  • It's just me or the latest part are silent'?

  • @l098765432l Really? *excited*

  • I saw Avatar at 1st time yesterday. Idk i cant tell you a lot about cuz im still flashed! Thx to all guys who works on that movie. btw Sam Worthington is a great actor for me he is the next Burt Lancaster!

  • Beautiful, magical, spiritual. I think this film was so popular because it wasn't mindless fighting and bloodshed. It tugs on the soul, our very being and lets us just feel.

  • 4:46 is my favorite part of the whole Avatar soundtrack

  • you think in all the time he waited to make this movie he would have had a better story written

  • 3:21

  • Yeah....another well packed ...and NICE movie with the never changing cheesy story

  • i do think that u should help ur people if the whole avatar thing was real....... but seeing what happened with the native americans, my people, im on the na'vi side!!!

  • Unless I'm crazy, theres a beat in here i heard from Apacalypto...another Horner classic.

  • When my cousin said he was gonna rent this I told him "NO, you buy an HD, 3D TV, a Blu-Ray player, and BUY Avatar in full screen. You do not merely rent this movie."

  • I just love the film for what it is. Pure escapism. Fantastic job. Fantastic effects. Brilliant Soundtrack. Watched it twice within 3 days. Just brilliant. Whilst sceptical, I am looking forward to take 2.But it will be a hard act to follow.

  • @divadworld reminds me of the song colours of the wind... "you think the only ppl who are ppl, are ppl who look and think like you." we should stop tinking we own the world.

  • Dogs and other animals are skinned while they're still conscious in China, Vietnam and Korea for their fur. Over 100 million male piglets are castrated each year without anesthesia, only in Europe. Inhumane methods are used in some slaughterhouses to save money. A few examples of todays animal abuse.

Search for "A Shocking Look Inside Chinese Fur Farms" here on youtube, for an example.. It's time to start helping our brothers and sisters in nature (humans are animals too, for the idiots).

  • Col.Quaritch and the marine vets should of sang this song before they fought the navi Advance the flag of Dixie! Hurrah! Hurrah! For Dixie's land we take our stand, And live or die for Dixie! To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie! To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie! Fear no danger! Shun no labor! Lift up rifle, pike, and sabre! To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie! Shoulder pressing close to shoulder, Let the odds make each heart bolder! To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
  • When it starts at 5:27 - that's my favorite part of this track. =D Really grand and ominous.

  • The movie was a combination of Pocahontas, Fern Gully and Atlantis. But it was soooo shiny xD

  • People need to stop fucking bickering, it's annoying.

  • @Forevaitalia nice use of the f word. it really drove the point you're making home.

  • This film is so awsome as soon as i went to the cinemas to see it when it first came out i was stuck to my seat i was in awee so hope it doesnt take aslong to make 2 & 3 as it did to make this one :)

  • Worthless film. Plagiarism aside, it's simplistic, reductionistic, and unbelievably manipulative, and the way that it handles the issues that it presents is just sickening.

The next time that you watch it, try turning your brain on for longer than two seconds; you might (assuming that you aren't too far gone) see it for the sham that it is.

    Then go outside.

  • @StellarJetman There is something wrong with you.

  • @Dannnneh

Why? Because I happen to dislike a terribly-written movie?

  • @StellarJetman There is something wrong with you if you don't like this movie, get help.

  • @Dannnneh How do I need "help" if I don't like a movie? Does a person have to be mentally unbalanced in order to dislike Avatar? Here are some sci-fi movies that I DO like; let me know if any of them show that I need help as well: Blade Runner Gattaca The Matrix Alien The Wrath of Khan The Empire Strikes Back Forbidden Planet Moon Total Recall 2001
  • @StellarJetman

Yeah.. Avatar is certainly reductionist. Nature good! Human bad! And it's Pocahontas in space.

But still an amazingly entertaining film though.

  • @1tephania "Nature good! Human bad!" Which is in all essences true.

  • @Eckall It's not dat it's true, the problem is dat humans have been behaving like termites lately. But we should watch out, cuz mother Earth also knows what ta do with termites.

  • @Eckall You assume that humans are not part of Nature. I think otherwise, that all sophonts are evolved through competitive conditions, which makes them aggressive to their environment, at least until they evolve conscious environmental preservation processes.

  • the theme changing in 5:19 is fuckin' epic

  • they have braids

  • i like 3:44

  • The Last Samuri and dances with wolves tell the same story and send the same message

  • The Last Samuri and Dances with Wolves tell more or less the same story in different settings

  • from the minute i heard one of the tracks of this movie i was like fuck james horner is the shit! i can always tell when its one of his songs, its always so amazing to hear.

  • Thank God Cameron waited to make this film, and that this wasn't made a reboot. People keep saying we should keep trying to help our world but we need to work together, a single person doing their bit will not help.....I would love to live in a log cabin, hunting for my own food...

  • @Poltise

Er, no you don't. Hunter-gatherer life in real wilderness is tough and dangerous. And you don't get to live too long, or have much time for leisure.

Don't take the conveniences of human civilization for granted. You don't even have penicillin if you are out there as a caveman, do you really want that?

  • @Poltise you sir are correct...i would love to live in the amazon and just being with nature would be so amazing...but i fear we wont have an amazon for much long...

  • @Poltise you know by hunting, you'd be killing another animal that needn't be killed. if you live in a log cabin go to the local store or something. eat twigs or something. you know?

  • @Poltise Think about it. One single person can help by spreading the word and eventually we will get to the point where everyones working together. And living in a log cabin away from humans is what Ive always fantasized of doing

  • Actually this movie is more like Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa in space, ever seen those? awesome Japanese animated masterpieces that rival anything by Disney. And ever seen or heard of Dune? that is what Avatar is like.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yeah, Ive head of Dune, but never seen it...and I dont watch anime movies, they are not just for me :P...but wow, it's been already a year since commented on this vid...how the time flies. And still like 3 or 4 years before Avatar sequel.

  • @Balnazzardi

What's wrong with adult animation for once? anime isn't all a bunch of Pokemon wannabes and demons raping chicks with tentacles like hentai but you should watch the ultra-powerful, sad and harrowing Grave of the Fireflies and the 2 best adult animated masterpieces known as Akira and Ghost in The Shell. Without anime, we'd have no The Matrix which Matrix owes itself to.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Sure, I know that, but again anime, no matter what kind is not just for everyone, just some other movie genre, like horror doesnt appeal to everyone. Im not saying that all the anime is crap, not at all, but just that Im one of those people who is not just interested in it.

  • @Balnazzardi tbh, i wouldn't call it "anime" it doesn't fall into the same category as Naruto and that sort, it has a movie like storyline, it is awesome, all those Miyazaki films are epic, please don't be so close-minded and try them :)

  • @foshizzlekun

It was written in 1993 before Atlantis and Fifth Element.

  • @BuildingAMysterie

    He pulled it off.

  • @biofire

Actually it was written before Last Samurai in 1993 but Cameron had to wait for the technology. I think this movie is more like Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Dune (the novels and the books) combined.

  • @LukeLovesRose

Well Cameron is working on Avatar 2 & 3, Battle Angel (Should be the best live-action translation of anime since Speed Racer), Sanctum, Heavy Metal 2012, At The Mountains of Madness with Guillermo Del Toro, and a few other documentaries.

  • Terrific soundtrack this is one of my fave scores. This scene reminds me of the same forest and creatures like in Hayao Miyazaki's animated masterpiece Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind which Cameron is a huge fan of.

  • The Na`vi spirit is inside us you dont have to meet with them, we are them or whos we should be.You can be a Na`vi in your spirit. This is your choice and thats what this movie teach.

  • This might sound weird to some people but I think it would be nice to meet a Na'vi, like literaly have a conversation with one. Just as long as they don't try to take me to their leader and decide my fate. But it'd still be cool even if they'd be one metre taller than me. Enough of my ranting or else I'll get all emotional.

  • @commanderjaw Just get to your local reservation... They are not blue or tall but is the same thing...

  • I could listen to the Avatar soundtrack alllll day. <3

  • I waited for this movie to hit HBO and I finally saw it in its TV premier 11/6/10. I am kicking myself for waiting all these months. It grabbed me immediately because the focal point was around a Marine (I'm a former Jarhead) and once he & I landed in Na'Vi it was like Peter Max (Google him) had gone motion-digital. WOW! The mesmerizing colors intertwined with a phenomenal soundtrack and a marvelous, almost Native American storyline made me want to be one of "The People." I SEE YOU!

  • @klamathnation actualy the roots of the story line ar native african. even the language is an Native african dialect I believe.

  • @Jarydashcroft what are you on about , the language was made up by the producers

  • @Jarydashcroft

It sounds almost like it but more Polynesian and wild Brazilian Inca if you ask me.

  • @Jarydashcroft Well James Cameron said it already... The movie is based in Native Americans... and the language is made up just search wikipedia...

  • @klamathnation It's a truly amazing movie isn't it?

  • @klamathnation Word, thanks for your post it moved me! To me, there are no words to convey the emotional feel of this spectacular piece. I highly recommend for everyone to see this! Exclusively :)

  • @klamathnation Fool, I pity you for not understanding the fact that Avatar has state-of-the-art 3D and is MADE to be watched in 3D. You just skipped out on 70% of what made people love it so much.

  • @klamathnation I would of continued serving my side which would still be the Americans in the film because one the movie clearly targeted the GOP.

    Liberals(Na'vi/Sully) GOP(Corporation)

If Avatar scenario was real and you along with other people wanted to help the Na'vi.

I would still help my side no, I will serve my side to the end that rock was oil

and basically what sully did was cut-off the U.S. oil supply so even if a minority of marines would help the Na'vi doesn't mean all of them would.

  • @klamathnation And me I wouldn't need to get paid I don't fight for money but I don't hate those who do and are doing their legal job.

Which Blackwater does and of course Avatar security force which was supposed to show a Blackwater/U.S. Calvary kind of deal.

I would be proud either way of serving my side.

And I don't care what the soldier reason of fighting is or what the fuck he does for a living when me and that soldier is in combat I am going watch his back and not to leave a man behind

  • The part from 4:46 to 5:16 just gave me an orgasm...

  • 4:44-5:15

  • this the gratest film i have ever seen but i wanna told every one that they have to buy a thighater to watch it unless there is no use to watch it in any where else

  • @samtoadel

  • In which scene(s) of the movie does this music play?

  • james horner and Hanz Zimmer. in my opinion THE two best composers of music for modern day films... if you havent checked out what Hanz Zimmer has done, Well he did bits from the lion king, black hawk down, pirate of the caribein AND my frav Gladiator. check some out and broaden your music as both have produced gread music!

  • i am 25, i study astronomy and this movie made me cry

  • @millionhera22 I am astrophysicist and I tell you : take this movie like a movie. And our knowledge are not perfect. Be humble and stop to cry.

  • @stoke70 well thats gay

  • The focus is supposed to be about the respect for the natural world, but not unessesary human drama. If there is a devil, it would certainly want you to loose focus by being distracted by it's servants.

  • WTF... I hate how people make no fn since and argue over nothing. And they should only leave comments about the movie!!!!

  • @lakelandchief i know! i only made a comment about the movie and somehow got this stupid racist comment, and now i cant get this person to leave me alone..

  • It's important to focus on the measage of preserving our natural world rather than post comments accusing someone of not being politically correct in order to have power over someone with inflicting phantom guilt. Truly evil people are incapable of guilt and have a grand time watching fools duel it out.

  • Great music !

  • I love this song. Makes me feel connected to nature and animals. Listen to this after watching "meet your meat".

  • I just love how this movie really turned all the hypocritical commentors loco.

Haha it's funny watching these childish dreamers.

  • 6;44 neytiri look hot

  • People need to understand that James Cameron, whether intentionally or not, created a very magical movie. Sure it had flaws, and it covered them with ALOT of CGI. But it had a message and was very touching. I felt like changing my life after it. Critics take this as a hippy movie against America criminalizing Iraq, but its a message of change, that moving forward at the cost of nature and understanding isn't moving forward. And Nature shouldn't be used. But let's not paint ourselves blue. Cmon.

  • @4tahlulz4 I'm begging you to stop spamming.

  • Comment removed

  • @NatashaMayet I'm begging you to either return to the kitchen, or return to whatever backwash whole in the ghetto gutter you crawled out of and stop talking about what you don't understand.

  • @4tahlulz4

I'm not from the ghetto mate I'm a black Brazilian living in Gold Coast Australia. So before you type hypocritical nonsense about my ignorance.

Look at you, you automatically assumed I was from the ghetto in America.

Also enlargen your penis, a real man doesn't disrespect women because he knows he gets all the ladies. You clearly don't :).

  • @NatashaMayet I assumed you were from the ghetto because you talk like somone from the ghetto. Stop pulling the race card. LOOK AT ME, I'M BLACK I'M SPECIAL. And you have never been with a man so stop kidding yourself bitch.

  • @4tahlulz4 I have never been with a man? I'm pretty sure I've fucked you one time, I just can't remember.

Anyways back to the point, pulling the race card how? Nationality and race are two different things..

  • @NatashaMayet You said i assumed you were from the ghetto because you're black, not because you are an idiot. Which is not the case. I said you were from the ghetto because you sound like an uneducated crazy bitch who doesn't know what shes talking about. But i'm sick of arguing this point. Theres no talking to retarded people over Youtube. So lets just agree to disagree.

  • @4tahlulz4 I never ever said you assumed I was from the ghetto because I was black. Show me where I did unless you were reading, I'm pretty sure you had a black person in your mind when you made that pathetic statement you dumb ass. Oh, and there goes your ignorance again. Just because on is born in the ghetto, it doesn't justify their intelligence. That's just you being an unintelligent loser who stereotypes. People in the ghetto have it hard. You don't know what the majority have been through.

  • @4tahlulz4 Plus you said I sounded like a crazy uneducated bitch, but every time I put you in the spot you refuse to answer and aim for your assumption fail by calling me an uneducated bitch, but the last time I checked I never "typed" like a "typical" ghetto moron. You have failed to show me how I was in the wrong. You should just stop before you do anything more stupid, you have official reached the limit of a borderline retard. You're lucky I'm even feeding you for "tuh lulz".

  • @NatashaMayet YOU SAID. "im not from the ghetto mate i'm a black brazilian"

YOU were the one who stated that i assumed you were from the ghetto because you were black. You want proof you are an idiot? Every time i say something, you make it about something totally off the subject, not me. I said something about the movie relating to the human race. And you find a way to make it about some gibberish about Africa and South America in your nonsensical ways.

  • @4tahlulz4

Oh I get it, so because I explained my nationality and race, that means I assumed you were saying I was a Ghetto Black person?

    Try again..

  • @NatashaMayet Look i have shit to do. I'm done with this today. But i'll continue later. Love yea =D

  • @4tahlulz4 Well put. I agree with you completely regarding the message of the movie.

  • james horner is a freaking GENIUS. everytime i hear a really good track from a movie, it happens to be by him.

  • @missquackquack amen to that. i was JUST going to say that same thing!!! the man can do NO wrong.

  • @missquackquack do not forget Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard and John Williams! :)

  • @missquackquack him or Hans Zimmer.. ;)

  • @boderban i agree Hans Zimmer is an amazing artist

  • @missquackquack and yet other great artists like Clint mansell (look up "death is the road to awe" and "the fountain" get ignored. it's sad. there are more then just a few great atists out there. they are all around us, and who knows, one of us could be if we worked not for money, but the joy of creating things. Of sharing our gift with the rest of the world.

  • @missquackquack I agree.

  • @missquackquack Him an Hans Zimmer

  • @MrMetalCookie hans zimmer is good "inception soundtrack"

  • @missquackquack Hans Zimmer is sooo much better.

  • @missquackquack

    You're forgetting Hans Zimmerman

  • @missquackquack so can be said for hans zimmer.......

  • i love this movi and trudi is werry cool and jack is so sweet hehe

  • @MrNexao then why are you listening to the soundtrack?

  • @MrNexao dude, i understand ur anger against the na'vi. your not the only one that wants to be one. we understand lol

  • @MrNexao You're no fun.

  • @MrNexao ..you suck balls, ass fold eater....X3 pwned.

  • this music is sooo beautiful...when i start deejaying im gonna play this song and all the cracked out rolly-polly ravers are gonna be like "OMG...." its gonna trip them out i cant wait :P

p.s. to any of you who say the human race is too young to be able to understand a life of peace and unity...wtf do you think the native americans did?? stupid...

  • @MeeluMaru Jake's just been caught by the navi and taken to the hometree

  • I have never seen this movie--just curious, does anyone know what is going on in the movie at 5:31 -7:00?

  • @MeeluMaru :O thats like a crime agenst humanity lol but not its an AMAZING moving and you realy should GO SEE IT! :)

  • @MeeluMaru Jake has been caught, and then he is being escorted to hometree, and all the navi are inspecting him, and looks like they hate him, and yet they odnt even know his name. o.o AMAZING MOVIE, get eeet, its ball bustingly brilliant

  • I see the movi 2 times in 3D and only on in 2D in the cinema and at home 7-8-9 + :D

its a fantastc Movie and i think one of the Best everytime :)

  • While i was jungle tracking today up in the Malaysian forest, i tuned into this song. i felt sorta, a deep connection with the forest, i had numerous feelings that i don't know how to describe. it was beautiful and amazing. the air was full with oxygen that really relives me for some sort of reason. i ran through, jumped here and there. i guess pandora is actually ryte on your doorstep!.

  • @MizansChannel93 I love you for saying that x)! It is true, we just got to open our eyes ;)

  • I had the same feeling and and experience yesterday. I was collecting blueberries in the middle of the forest, and I kind of got lost in the way. The forests in Finland ain't not as near beautiful as the jungles on earth, but in the evening sunset everything looked amazing. I kept climbing higher and higher to get a better view where I was, and this song was playing in ipod. I reached to the cliffs, and the view was breathtaking. I could see few kilometers to one direction and few to the other.

  • @Juustokauppias try and visit the rainforest down under. trust me, for some reason, you'll feel humble, happy, joy, and breath taking. ive been jungle tracking every weekend now!

  • @MizansChannel93 i get u, such music brings u back 2 mother nature

  • @MizansChannel93 God you folks are crazy..

  • @MizansChannel93 You're right, it is right on our doorstep, we're living in a place just the same as Pandora, people may not see it at first, but they have to learn, feel, think with it, if they want and try they eventually will see amazing things they never thought possible.

  • Comment removed

  • @MizansChannel93 its not really on your doorstep if your in britain ..lol

  • Beautifull music. Tribes like the celts and the native Americans got slowly overtaken because they could not keep united. Unless we stand united to preserve whats left of the bounty, integrity, and diversity of the natural world we will loose it one piece at a time over the generations. Make a stand.

  • @TheKnightsOfCamelot Don't forget the South Asians and Africans :).

  • 6GO6TH6IC you are right pandor is beatylfoul place and if there is something like that i would give everything to yout see it!!!

  • @wargagebanglor you have to take a quiz though T.T

  • I cant ever see the Human Race ever getting along like the people on Pandora, or ever respecting life in such a way. We would rather take photoes of a dead or dying person than decide to save that life. Live like the Nave? In your dreams people. We are still yoo young a species, we are basicaly too weak minded to be able to live in peace like them.

But wow, could you imagine just how great a place our planet would be to live!!

  • I want my own Avatar and live with the Na'vi!!

  • People say we will destroy the planet. We won't. We will destroy ourselves. And even long after we're gone the earth will "live on". It will reset itself and heal. But at the rate we are polluting it, it cannot heal fast enough.

  • @DeiLuver True. Earth's recovered from crazier shit without losing all life. The bottom of the ocean is relatively unshiftable. There will always be some hardy critter that's survive to evolve and continue on all over again, it's done it before.

  • I like how the sound track is a mix of James Horner's other music. I hear lots of Apocalypto in this thing. Perhaps not this song, but on the soundtrack as a whole.

  • @stewartwadehines Yeah I would say James Horner is establishing himself very well alongside John Williams as one of the best musicians in movies today. He may even be better because if you listen to alot of John Williams' stuff he is very, very repetitive.

Star Trek: Nemesis may not have been a killer movie but James Horner did an excellent job in that, too.

  • it's so amazing to see people actually arguing over these videos...

just chill out and listen to this fantastic music if you loved the film or piss off if you dont like avatar...what the hell are you doing here in the first place?!

  • @amyxxxbaby Because they have nothing better to do with their lives? Thats just a guess...It's funny to see people waste their time watching things they hate. Jokes on them for being fools.

  • @PatriotsofLight I don't need to enjoy the video, you're stupid responses are entertainment enough

  • @mitchellcoolkid well good :-) Peace to you.
