The Furies played in the Rochester, NY area during the 60s and were quite popular. Funny thing was that Bill Friel had no part in the band, but he produced the album. I remember Fred, the drummer, saying that it was a surprise to them when the record label said "Bill Friel & The Fabulous Furies". It was either go that way or not have the record released at all. The band's real name was "Freddie And The Furies". Members were Fred (Drums), Nick (Sax), Barry (Bass), and Pete (Guitar).
Back when people weren't so uptight about life in general. They knew how to let down their hair and they didn't care about what others thought. The chicks were fantastic too! Where's the Way-Back Machine?
