My first bike was a GSXR 600 and I now have a brand new Yamaha R6. I really think it's important for people to buy a bike they won't find boring once they get comfortable with riding. The most important thing is if you feel like you aren't ready to do something DONT DO IT! Too many kids think "hmm I really don't have a clue on what wide open throttle feels like or how the bike will respond but I'll do it anyways". 600 is a good starting and ending point. Power comander and full yoshi XD!!!
If it's a 600cc sportbike (which I'm certain it is but I can't make it out what make/model from the video) it has over 100 horsepower.
This is what happens when you're an impatient fuck and want the biggest/baddest now so you can look cool. Start on a manageable bike so you can learn how to ride with losing thousands of dollars, and won't look like a dumbass.
A bike is only as fast as its rider, and a sportbike doesn't make you look cool if you can't ride it.
in some countries new riders are restricted to 35 horsepower or less. I lot of more powerful bikes are sold with restrictors that make them legal, then when the rider can finally ride a full powered bike he can just derestrict.
Otherwise they'd have to buy small bikes then buy larger ones.
Well said if anybody is in the market for a motorcycle the last thing they ever need to be concerned with is impressing anybody. There are enough idiot riders out there to mess it up for those who actually enjoy just riding or appreciate not having to pay for some oil tycoons kid's Maserati. Those two things to me are impressive on their own merits and there are plenty of other good reasons to ride a motorbike.
Congrats assholes like this make motorcycle riders look bad. They make our insurance higher and make it unsafe for others. Keep it on the track.

Nobody rides because they want to look cool.
Personally, and I doubt I'm alone here, I ride for this crazy reason people that make videos like this will never understand. It's called HAVING FUN.

I totally agree with you. But I think you didn't get what is meant by the video. The heading is meant ironically.
fearistic 2 years ago
I wasn't talking about the heading, I was talking about the patronising text at the end.

Get real. Tons of people ride because they are dying to look cool, though none of them look cool when they are dying.

I'm not going to acknowledge them if that's their attitude x)
Those guys don't tend to last long enough to make an impression anyway, other than maybe a big dint in the road/their face.

Thank you for your comment. I totally agree with you.
The rider was such an idiot: The sportbike was curbed so the bike had only 34 hp. But even that was too much for the rider...
