@kittyhello35 the leather does hold up. after about 3 or 4 years, it will cause normal wear and tear. louis vuitton bags are not magical and gravity defying. you pay 700 for the elite brand and the workmanship and the design...not for the dead cow skin resisting the bronzeweight attached to it.the WARNING is intended for people who just leave the lock in one spot for decoration.i personally lock my toddler out of my bag so i dont have this issue...my lock is used constantly.

Why are girls so bitchy on here! When I got my bag I was sooo excited and I was looking up all kinds of videos to help me keep it looking new and how not to damage it! I think it's a great tip, thanks for the video! Also u can get bags made in USA,France and Spain! I'm from the uk and ordered my speedy on the lv website i think in the uk they only send u made in France ones I'm not 100% sure but me and my mom both got France ones.
The reason the lock is placed on the side is so you can zip the bag closed and actually lock it to the zipper pull. Part of the "charm" of the bag might be a messed up side piece! Kind of like when the leather gets the dark patina. I agree they should have used a heavier leather for the lock. My bag is about 13 years old and really worn in! But I still love it. It's worn in by me!

I most of the neverfull's are made in USA mine is made in France... You have to shop around in different store and make sure its made in France... I've got multiple Louis Vuitton handbags, two of which are vintage speedys, the padlock is on the tag where it is meant to be, and the leather has not stretched an inch.
@TrolleyxDolly the hole has noticeable stretch and droopiness. i think its just natural for leather to stretch if something heavy is hanging off of it all day.

Lol I just bought a fake one for funsies and none of the signs of fakeness mentioned here are present on my bag, so these people have no idea. I would think that the leaf truthfully saying that it is made in the USA would make it seem more real. No knock-off company would put a country of origin other than France on the leaf.

@donnasrocks First of all if you knew anything, the way the speedys are made is , that is make out of 1 piece of canvas that is just wrapped all the way around and cut.. So its just 1 full piece meaning that all monograms wont be the same..

I most of the neverfull's are made in USA mine is made in France... You have to shop around in different store and make sure its made in France... I would not have bought a almost 1000 dollar bag if it was made in USA. p.s If you like the neverfull I recomend to get it like now becuase I bought mine for 750 plus tax and now they are 820 plus tax...They are going up on prize because its such a legacy... That's a gorgeous speedy and i have one in a 30. For those that are suspecting her speedy to be a fake, it is in fact a 100% real bag and yes some Louis Vuitton bags are made in the U.S.A. You can always stop by a local LV boutique to confirm this.

Love your purse and it is a luxury brand so I just have an important question.
When u use ur purse and take it out and u need to set it down and I noticed I do this over time and u can notice over a short period of time damage on the bottom of your purse. I hate that and don't know what to do about it. And I don't want to hold my purse like when I'm eating at a restaurant or getting my nails done. It's just a hassle. Please help.

The Louis Vuitton website even states their workshops are located in France, Spain and the UNITED STATES. When buying from a Louis Vuitton boutique you would have to be lucky to find a bag made in France, as most of LV's canvas goods are made in USA. Call them 1-866-Vuitton..

At the top of your zipper the logos are very off, not saying that it's a FAKE but the alignment is off so that's why ppl might say its not real and the color of the handles are lighter than usual. I've got multiple Louis Vuitton handbags, two of which are vintage speedys, the padlock is on the tag where it is meant to be, and the leather has not stretched an inch.
