  • If the contractors were paid through HUD funding and they didn't use lead-safe work practices, I think that you have some legal recourse.

    Please consult a lawyer who specializes in lead-related lawsuits. In the meantime, if your repairs were made through a HUD-funded, local gov't program, ask someone to come out and document the contractor's work. I got an email about your video response, but I haven't seen the video yet.

  • HUD paid to have ours corrected. 34K. The contractor did not address most of what was in the report, did not fully paint surfaces, did not remove peeling paint. It's a mess and they were paid anyway. I am so angry.

  • I hope you move out.

  • It's not my apartment, but the tenant does want to move or get the necessary repairs ASAP. Justice isn't cheap. That's why so many people can't afford it...and this is what happens.

  • No repairs have been made to this unit since this footage was shot on February 22, 2007.
