There are two types of athletes. Individuals with natural abilities and hard workers. Someone who works hard can always surpass someone with natural talents in time. Of course its best to have both lol, but I believe anything can be accomplish with hard work alone!
Awesome power Rick. You really inspired me to train harder than I done it before :) You a very positive guy and always with a smile in the face. Much respect from me.
Thank you Victoria! I was in LA for a bodyweight training seminar at the Valley Crossfit and for this video contest also. I'll let u know next time I'm out west!
I appreciate your words.
And u know how I got this good haha You're real skilled yourself!
Your doing all that and I'm still struggling with muscle ups on the bar..How long have you been doing this type of training and what's your diet like?
Started martial arts when i was five. Started flips when I was 16. Started training for Sasuke a year and a half ago. Started training with the Bar-barians last year.
I don't eat junk food. Only clean organic health foods.
Awh man! This comment is way too much for me! Come on man im just doing my thing. haha
The voting is over but check out the ANC3 vid. The address is in the description box but there a space in the address (ke y) that shouldn't be there (key). Can't seem to fix it.
hey buddy, this video is phenomenal, i'm only 20, but i'm training to submit my video next year, just wanted to let you know that you really inspired me. btw where did you get this into and outro music
this is dirty, i dicovered ninja warrior pretty recently, im nowhere near this level but i was wondering if u or anyone wold be able to give me some suggestions on how to start out doin this stuff.
alright man. go and represent America. no one from America has won yet right? well your gonna be the first. just keep training and eating healthy man. and remember no sweets
Everything I am performing in this video has added muscle to my physique but I have remained the same weight. I would recommend rock climbing and bodyweight training to anyone. Just make sure your progressions are correct and safe.
yo man thanks for the comment! i still have a shitton of work to do b4 i can make it anywhere but may 18th is gonna be enough motivation for the rest of my life haha. keep up the good work mayne, you got mad skills. i tried doing some pistols on a bar like you do and i got em but they are pretty frickin hard to keep ur balance mayne haha nice job dude.
Its not as it appears on TV. It looks like you and the camera but there are around 50 people behind the camera. Also something that was on TV for 3 seconds took 3 hours to film. It is important to be prepared for that because it was impossible to warm up correctly and conserve energy.
Hey man... Salute! You've invested quiet the dedication to your training and it's paying off obviously!!
I live around the TriState, can you tell me where that Gym is where you were doing the gymnastics? I've been looking for a place to seriously train but all the damn GYMS I know in my are are all for girlies...
Do they instruct Men in that gym? I believe gymnasts/acrobats are the strongest athletes in the world, always in control of their body and momentum.
The gym is Chelsea Piers. Yea they train males there haha. There are many high level gymnasts and Paul Hamm gave a seminar there a couple of times. I'm not a gymnast I go there to climb the rope and play.
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! It IS inspiring, and I think my son will enjoy it and be inspired too!!!!! You have amazing strength and I can tell that you've worked really hard to get there! Thank you! ^_^
Thanks for your support, but I wouldn't say that. There's no luck in it. He was the better competitor that day. They both deserved to go and I couldn't be prouder for them.
It's just a shame your ankle got axed just as you were about to get ready. I wonder how far you could have gone if you had the opportunity to spend more time working your ass of for the challenge.
Otherwise, you and Russ were still the crowd favorite for your charisma and determination.
hey what song is that at the beginning of your video the beat was nice overall man very impressive just shows you what the human body is capable of.... keep doing your thing and stay positive peace
Rick this is one of your best videos ever. It's great to see that all of your hard work is paying off. Again and as always, you remain an inspiration to those of us at the bottom of the ladder. Keep it up!
Ur no where near the bottom of the ladder. You have a beautiful family and u teach your children your fitness as well. I have not reached this stage of my life yet and have no idea what that kind of success is like.
