  • thanks dj esko, i always apprciate your videos. I am a pround ns7 user and i was wondering if you have come up with any ways to better utulize the sp-6 sampler on itch. I am having trouble setting the cue points and assinging a trigger key, wether its on my jeyboard or on my midi control, I have heard of bome and sound plant, but are those the only ways? thanks for you help, keep up the videos

  • I had trouble removing the tight screws on the back of the regular black vinyls did u have the same trouble like i did i used the right phillips head screwdriver i kinda striped two screws but loosened all of the screws i brought two ice blue vinyls for my ns7

  • Hey DJ Esco, I just started DJing with a Numark Mixtrack Pro on my Mac with Virtual DJ Pro Full. When I try to hook it up to speakers using the red and white cables in the back I get no response but if I use the headphone jack and connect like that it works. Im assuming this has something to do with the settings, because I have hooked them up to speakers before and had the sound come out. Any idea what this could be? Thanks!

  • @WonderWeiss324 I dont have that particular system. However according to Vasili55 you will need to go to Advanced settings in VDJ configuration in CONFIG on VDJ for your output to be Master + Headphones. Master channels 1&2 and 3&4 are your headphones. From there make sure you have your CUE mix dial on the MT Pro turned up, and selected on either CUE or PGM. hope this helps you and others.

  • @WonderWeiss324 What DJ Esco said is correct. You need to set it to master + headphone then the next tap down you need to go to the hardware of your mixtrack. It will use your mixtrack as the soundcard. that will take care of your problem. If not then go into your control panel and set your mixtrack as the default soundcard under your soundcard options

  • Good video man. Very useful in helping me decide how I want to go about the vinyl mod

  • Whats up DJ Esco do recommend itch or vdj to run your ns7?

  • yo esco, i see many dj's wit the tape on there vinyl...wat kinda tape would that be?

  • hey dj esco just a quick question i just wanted to know does it have to be exact ns7 requirments for laptops or i can go higher

  • could you please make up a template for the cuts and what not...i've screwed up about 5 recourds and im getting fustrated..i have a crome recourd like yours and i want to get it down before i do it on that so i dont ruin it..please repond thank you

  • @rsadd14 OK no problem. I will make one in pdf format (mac and PC friendly) this way you print and mark then cut where the markings are at. I will post in in my website

  • @djesco075 Awesome mods! Thanks for showing us the video on how to modify the platters! How about the original Numark sticker on the Vinyls? Did u just take them off of the originals and stuck them on the silver vinyls?

  • @tranjohn

I redesigned my own. The best thing is to have them printed on vinyl sticker sheets then UV coated. This will make them very durable.

  • @djesco075 Where do u buy the vinyl sticker sheets from? How do u UV coat it? Spray?

  • @djesco075 i just purchased the v7 so would like to customize my vinyl! I also bought a white and silver/chrome 7inch vinyl to customize so any chance u still have the template for the sticker???

  • @rsadd14 were did you get your crome record from???????????

  • What Kind Of material And where Can i Find Dis Vinyls In Metal Color???

  • Where did you get the labels made? URL for the site???

  • @pzznutzz01

    I made them using PhotoShop

  • kool vid! wat type of pc do u use? also can that be used with vdj? if so wat version?

  • Yes it can be used with VDJ currently version 6.03 or higher Pro versions. The Laptop I use is a custom Build. but any laptop or PC meeting the posted requirements on Numark's or Serato's site will work. :)

  • That hole is the appropriate size. 45s mostly all have holes that big. Im sure you could use any old 45 just cut those 3 grooves into it.

  • not really. 2 things to be concerned about:

1 thickness of record. Due to weight (thick is good thin is too light on the platter)

2 Hole the NS7's hole is slightly smaller you will notice that there will be play or "slip" on the large hole records.

  • Hey Esco do you have a templete for the vinyl label?

  • I had one I made with Layers and all in Photoshop CS4. No one ever asked so I deleted it. Basicly this is what I did measure one from the actual vinyl from the NS7 add .15 to it for the humps what ever your number is divide by half (this is your center dot should be .25-.28 for spindle hole.) the rest is up to you.

  • Respect, esco

I was just at guitar center ready to purchase the ns7, but I found out more info than the salesman himself, can you use virtual dj, and if so how do you use sound fx, and thres no kill swtices either

to kill bass then backspin, by the ur plates are wicked,

  • The NS7 does not have kill "switches" However, uses rotary knobs with a "Zero to full Kill" range. Backspins can be performed and you can vary the speed, duration and direction (fowards too)

The NS7 runs in perfect Harmony with Seratos ITCH software where all features on the NS7 work excellently. You may use the NSFX controller (includes ITCH 2.0) and use the effects included. Yes Virtual DJ version 6.02 and higher work (see the VDJ video and posted comments)

    Hope this helps.

    DJ Esco

  • Thankx Esco it helped alot, one more thing duo,

I noticed you use the sampler box for your samples, sice the ns7 doent have that can you still press your f1 f2 f3 for your samples on virtual dj? By the way were can we support you and get those mixtape cds?

  • Thank you I am going to pick mine up tonight it just came in at guitar center you won't believe what I paid for it.

  • Thanks

  • Wow dude,

    Those silver 7 inches ROCK!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Have you had any problems with this unit?

  • None

  • yoo broo are u a dj for like a radio station?

  • 2 times out of the week

  • I designed them in photoshop

  • How did you make those custom NS7 sticker labels?

  • The case I am using in this video is the Odyssey FZGSNS7W Glide Style Case. I liked the fact that it had a Gliding shelf top.

However, I have not used or seen Numark's version except for online. I would like to do a review on both not just based on features but the critical things like engineering and design, reliability, and quality.

    Hope this answers your question.

  • I noticed that you said you had the odyssey case for your ns7 is there a reason why you chose that one over the Numark one?

    Thanks

  • Thanks Esco, this tutorial will help me with my mod..

  • You are Welcome

  • thanks dude i be trying to find some spare vinyl's to work on.

    Good luck on your invention!!!!

  • Hit your local record shop. And thanks

  • thanks for the tutorial bud!!

  • No problem there will be more to come. Thank you for the comment.

  • Glad you can use the info. :)

I hope it will serve good for others too.

  • Finally! Now I can do the mod!
