About how many rounds would it last if I put in the element 210% spring, aim polycarbonate piston with metal teeth, matrix magnum motor and g&p polyamide explosive bearing piston head.
I'm not too sure on that, I don't have the 249 now neither. I think it would have to do with removing the fat pin (where the spring is on the front part of the feed cover), although how you'd go about doing this I don't know.
Honestly, I'd recommend you buying the Madbull Version 2 tightbore barrel, 509mm. Its a long enough length and does the job. It's not a sniper rifle so I wouldn't really worry about anything too long - unless you want BRASS barrel sticking out of the weapon!
If you have the MK.2 yes I am sure it is 509mm. If you have a problem with this, take the barrel out, measure it, and then you can get a new barrel before putting it altogether again!
het its me again i typed in mad bull tightbore and i found a few barrels that were like 590 an 630 mm but is that ok also where would i get the outer barrel
Sure, although the standard barrel length for this (Mk.2) is 509mm - M16 length. But any size will work, just a case of getting the right outer barrel for it, and unfortunately I don't think they make longer outer barrels for the M249 series of weapons.
Hi Gaffa, I just bought this gun and this video helps alot. Just wondering how many cell the battery is? Is it 6 cell 9.6V? as i have a different battery and connector and am thinking of converting it to a standard common one.
Hi there. It is a 8 cell, 9.6v (note each cell is 1.2v, [1.2 x 8 = 9.6]). I added the large type battery connector and now use a nunchuck style, 10.8v 3300mAh battery in it and have some fantastic ROF.
hey great vid i wanted to put a para stock on my m249 mk11 so, is thier a spot for the battery to slide in, in the back. thanks and do u have any sites that i can buy a longer barrel also for my para trooper, oh and one more thing you can change the hop up unit
If you wanted to use a para stock, you must re-wire the weapon so that the battery either fits in the handguard, or you can wire it so that the battery can be placed in the BoxMag.
Go onto google and type in Madbull Tightbore and choose a barrel. Note, the PARA has a 509mm barrel. I'd recommend using either a CA hop unit or a Guarder.
Nope,no parts fall off. The bipod is a little loose, but still holds under the foregrip for me. As for the magazine, I can say that it is very secure, even after being bashed around quite a lot!
All of the weapon is metal, internals included. The quality is very high, although you really do need to change the Hop Rubber. I would also recommend using a different battery to give that extra bit of performance.
I got mine from a place called AirsoftScotland, and would definately recommend them!
Classic Army Hop Up + bucking. Also bought a large 10.8v 3300mAh nunchuck battery for the full stock. This decision was made on the basis that I could use it in my stock for the SPR, and soon to be SR25.
OOhhh you have a fake M249.... pppsssshhhh

How do i fix the gun, everytime i fire the gun it want stop firing when i take my finger off the trigger
4everUSNavy 2 years ago
Mine actually did the same.
I found that it had a faulty trigger switch. You'll need to buy one of the Classic Army M249 master switches and replace the one you have.
Gaffa07 2 years ago
how much would this cost?
4everUSNavy 2 years ago
evike has it for $320
ironmaidenkid455 1 year ago
@4everUSNavy I just played around with bending the metal trigger contact with a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Wow it was a long time ago since I had this. But I think it's an 8.4v Large Type.
Bin it anyway, the Chinese batteries aren't much kop.

retfosria 2 years ago
Depends on how well you look after those internals.
Because of the higher torque motor, the spring should be fine, and the only thing you'd have to watch out about is the Piston.
But could possibly last over 100,000 rounds.
Gaffa07 2 years ago
Would the m249 para be able to handle an element 210% spring stock?
rated at 420-440 fps
about how many rounds would it last?
retfosria 2 years ago
around 500-600 shots, you dont need a spring like that in a swa weapon the spring in it is fine
