I've read many comments here that are very unnecessary. I don't look forward to argue with any of you over your opinion on Islam or the The Prophet , but I would like to make something clear. Believed by Muslims, Mohammed is the last Prophet of God. I read some comments about the clothing Muslims wear. Muslims are not the only people who wear dishdashas. Arabs always wore them.

Again I must reiterate upon contrary beliefs of some readers I did not write this to discredit Islam in any way. Though I am a Christian, I think the Islamic religion is a beautiful one and if it is practiced correctly along its fundamental values, Christianity included, it can teach unification and love. I just cannot fully except that the Gospel of St. Barnabas is a hundred percent plausible.

We must also consider that The Gospels (the first 4 books of the New Testament) was not written by one person. Many people wrote about Jesus and his teachings and none of their writings talk about Jesus revealing an actual name through his prophesies. Even in other Gospels that where discarded by the Catholic Church such as the Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the Gospel of Judas there are no accounts of such. The only writing that does is the Gospel of St. Barnabas.
He is recognizable to John, the author of Revelations, because John knew Jesus first hand being one of his disciples. Even in parables and revelations about the Devil which is a synonym for Satan which means “the accuser” is not his real name which is Lucifer.
In the New Testament when Jesus gave prophesies he spoke in parables or somewhat riddles. Even at the last supper he revealed that one of his disciples would betray him, but never mentioned Judas as the betrayer. If we also look at the Book of Revelations, regarded as one of the most elaborate prophesies ever written, we cannot find anywhere where a name is revealed regarding any person or being directly except Jesus himself.
Even in the Old Testament prophesies of Jesus referred to him as The Lion of Juda, Messiah, etc. Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” In this passage of course this is just another “nickname” of Jesus, Immanuel meaning “God with us”.
My second point is that I can’t fully credit the Gospel of St. Barnabas. The reason why are fairly simple to understand if you have read the Old Testament (which contains the Torah) and New Testament. The Old and New Testament contain great prophets that are vital in the foundation of the three mentioned religions. Whenever a prophet had vision or prophesy they never once revealed a person’s actual name unless they knew them. Many revelations were very obscure.
Though, even in the very fabrics of our individual faiths, there are differences but we must remember our religions are Abrahamic which centers on the teachings of love towards our brethren, salvation, repentance of sins, and justice for the good and righteous.
There are many denominations of the Christian faith just like there are many denominations of the Jewish and Islamic faiths. I am a Methodist Christian but I went to a Catholic school and though we are both Christians I don’t agree with some of the Catholic views and the way they worship, but we worship the same God. I feel that the Catholic faith is to ritualistic and idolistic.

I know full well that sacredness is in the eyes of the beholder. In the eyes of most muslims, Hadith is sacred....or something basically the same. Though I am a Christian, I think the Islamic religion is a beautiful one and if it is practiced correctly along its fundamental values, Christianity included, it can teach unification and love. We must also consider that The Gospels (the first 4 books of the New Testament) was not written by one person. Many people wrote about Jesus and his teachings and none of their writings talk about Jesus revealing an actual name through his prophesies. Even in other Gospels that where discarded by the Catholic Church such as the Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the Gospel of Judas there are no accounts of such. The only writing that does is the Gospel of St. Barnabas.

In the New Testament when Jesus gave prophesies he spoke in parables or somewhat riddles. Even at the last supper he revealed that one of his disciples would betray him, but never mentioned Judas as the betrayer. If we also look at the Book of Revelations, regarded as one of the most elaborate prophesies ever written, we cannot find anywhere where a name is revealed regarding any person or being directly except Jesus himself.

Even in the Old Testament prophesies of Jesus referred to him as The Lion of Juda, Messiah, etc. Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” In this passage of course this is just another “nickname” of Jesus, Immanuel meaning “God with us”.

My second point is that I can’t fully credit the Gospel of St. Barnabas. The reason why are fairly simple to understand if you have read the Old Testament (which contains the Torah) and New Testament. The Old and New Testament contain great prophets that are vital in the foundation of the three mentioned religions. Whenever a prophet had vision or prophesy they never once revealed a person’s actual name unless they knew them. Many revelations were very obscure.

There are many denominations of the Christian faith just like there are many denominations of the Jewish and Islamic faiths. I am a Methodist Christian but I went to a Catholic school and though we are both Christians I don’t agree with some of the Catholic views and the way they worship, but we worship the same God. I feel that the Catholic faith is to ritualistic and idolistic.

They simply tell it how it was. And it makes for some grimm reading. These are the earliest accounts of Muhammads life and deeds. They are presented unvarnished and without apology. They make him out to be a monster to be sure.
There are only a few accounts, written by Ibn Hisham, Ibn Ishaq, Al-Wakidi, Ibn Sa'd, and al-Tabari.
There is nothing else. They all tell the same. Brutal !!

The bible contains many scientific errors and contradictions because the bible would be re-written by over 50+ priests that wrote down their own theorys EX: Earth is flat, Sun revolves around earth, etc.

So it is possible that the Koran used many elements of Judaism and Christianity but changed the details slightly so as to appear legitimate in the eyes people who knew scripture. Then Mohammed could say that he got the revelations from an angel. Even if he could not read, it is easy to find people to tell him scriptures & omit these things in the final book(s). It is possible.

you think you can destroy a religion more powerful and old compare to your religion who only duplicate some verses and sayings from the bible and twist some of it teaching to make yours more believable? one of the bad things in Islam is it is too insecure that it will make all it can to prove christianity wrong. if you really that great you dont need this clips. what you have done it strengten my faith because a good religion is not a religion of hate and insecurities.

I'll tell you why, only 4 doctrines was accepted in to be bind in the new testament coz luke,matthew,mark and john was the principle & the other 7 plus matthias(replacement of judas iscariot') writting is similar to the four so it will just make the new testament thick and redundant. kuran on the other hand is a compilations of Ideas from the past inspiration taken from the bible.
