  • a story about a train who was about train who was about to be scraped and old friends save him

  • Could you release this cool model it's so great

  • could you send me locke

  • brill vid where did u get the well tank at 0:03 its really nice

  • @No1thomasfan2010 He got it from yourmom.com

  • it may not have won but its still a great story. ^^

  • could u make a non-thomas engine like a new 4449

  • @kr4449 He doesn't take requests or demands.

  • @kr4449 NO.

  • I LOVE IT!

    I was worried for Locke!

I'm putting this in my favorites!

  • 2 people got scrapped

  • did you win

  • @Legoworks5 No. This should be common knowledge by now.

  • one question is locke avaible or not? and where would he be avaible if he is avaible?

  • @celman11 He's not available and won't be unless Richard decides to.

  • is this a tv show ???????????????

  • @CGiordano464 NO. This is made in Trainz Railway Simulator. This was a contest entry for a popular YouTube series called "The British Railway Series."

  • are you planing on releasing Locke?

  • is this based on a true story

  • Wow this is like a well really grate story I love it

  • This is awsome!

  • also i want that horn :P 1960.... *EPIC HORN*

  • Richard, i love the design on Locke, I know this may seem arrogant but do you reckon you will ever release lock as he is a wonderful model

  • Will Locke be released?

  • Is there any way possible for me to express how truly awe instilling and majestic this film is? Because that's what it is: a film. It would be a horrid, ghastly insult to simply call this a "video..."

  • What a beautiful story, I love Locke. It really touches my heart, it would make a wonderful short book.

  • *Horn* 1960.... what diesels had that horn it sounds cool ? :)

  • @TheSI3DRemakist The D5343 horn but in reverse.

  • I really love Locke. Please please put him up for download.

  • what a beutiful story

  • i wondered hat happened to the old Y7 you made, nice job

  • Truly awesome!

Will you release Locke on your website? He'll make a fine addition to any fleet!

  • Amazing. When I watched the results video, when the first place winner was about to be announced, I was saying to myself "Locke Locke Locke". I was positive this would be the winner. This story touched me, and it would be awesome to see this little guy on Sodor Island 3D.

  • A fantastic enrty, you should have won a prize. Can you out locke up for download. Its a fantastic model at any rate.

  • I'm surprised this didn't win. It reminded me of Ivor in that aspect though Ivor never spoke we knew he had feelings; same with this engine :)

  • @Damocles178 I was too suprised. I thought this would have been in on eof the the top 3.But I guess we should still kudos the winners.

  • @BhanuHabbo Even so I could not be happier with the end results. It was a nice change having lesser known users triumph over more popular ones because it will certainly teach viewers a thing or two; entries from popular users tend to get overhyped especially on MOAB's channel.

  • This is one of my 4 favorites in the contest. I hope this gets one of the top 3 places!

  • if you don't mind me asking, was Locke a real locomotive?

  • No, though he's based on the LNER Y7, he's modified to make him unique

  • hmm...cool

  • This was a very touching story

  • Beautiful. Simply remarkable.

  • you are gonna win for sure!!!

  • This was a very touching story, very nice work.

    What route did you use?

  • that does look good and really accurate is Locke based off of any real Y7 that were preserved

  • whoa, this is a brilliant video! i've got no chance with my E2 vid.

  • @Tomthetrainfan Don't be so sure...... You'd be surprised at who could win this remember during Leo's contest a lesser known user came 1st (EuanEchidhog).

  • Don't always assume the more popular user will win. Anyone of us could come 1st ; including you :)

  • Simon has some stunning early entries, even a story similar to this one appears!

I still feel this is in the top marks zone, will it have enough engine character to woo the judges?, it certainly has a great little story.

Remember it is a character comp Simon has created, which entries have strong characters, I believe that is the key here and where I have failed.

  • thanks for the encouragement.

i like these competitions because they give less well-known users a chance to shine, but the problem is these accomplished users tend to steal the limelight.

i've got nothing against them, i just wish they didn't make vids quite so well!

btw, we're both cast in Newcontroller01's redubs!

  • Yes indeed they do steal the limelight but who cares? A lot of fanboys thought MOAB would win but he came 4th in Leo's contest. So let's not worry about the limelight as it means nothing compared to judgment :) Who do you voice in his Redub? I'm sure you already know I'm James :)

  • i've got 2 roles- Toby and Skarloey! =)

    all from one video!

  • true, but we'll find out when they're ready

  • Well done this one is one of my favorites its so heart warming for such a short story!

  • I feel this has to be the winning video, it has everything the competition is asking for and a fantastic background story..

Holding back and entering late was very wise.

    Well done.

  • Brilliant Entry, RJ! :D

  • This is pretty awesome Rich. One of the best I've seen. Out does mine by a heck load.

  • one of thebest well dun

  • Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas Rich: )

  • you know, I could try and model Locke and Alfred if you allowed me

  • Wow... just like your Dark Times Trilogy, this is a masterpiece! Good luck!

  • wow great work! :-)

  • Well Rich you've done it again. This is 100% excellent creativity and detail.

  • This is excellent in many forms, It really does explain alot of a steamer's life and death and how you should appreciate a rescue, not very many steam locos got the chance. All and all, great work.

  • Locke looks grand, Richard.

  • Must he be released? Can Richard not keep anything for himself?

I doubt this will be released anyhow, seeing as how lucky we were to have Alfred released.

  • Yeah, pretty much. That would be releasing it just for the sake of it.

  • Locke is not Sodor related. SHEESH!

  • The story related to this character is amazing, very emotional.

I see you have entered in the final days, good luck to all who entered.

  • lets hope this get aprooved in time.

  • Don't worry, Simon will see by the date of the mail service attached to video response approvals it was entered before the 20th.

This has become a monster completion I bet it pulls over 100 entries.

  • Great Fantastic

  • Excellent, such a great background story.

  • Interesting concept

  • aaaaaahhhhh thats really touched me great vid, how did you get the people

  • he looks amazing!!! :)

  • This is so beautiful...I'm crying. This is worthy of everything...I can't help it now...such a lovely story...

  • so that's what the Y7 on the forum was for, a BRWS entry.

    brilliant work 5/5

  • @TheBlueE2 Wait! Are you TheBlueTrain15?

  • oh wait, you're talking about the forum aren't you? no, i'm not him. you don't need an account on the SI3D forum to look around. that's how i knew about this V7

  • Nice work S123. Would you ever give him a face like Alfred?

  • Probably the best entry so far. Great work Rich, you never cease to amaze us.

    TomTank :)

  • Ah, so THIS is what the modified LNER Y7 was for! savin' it for the last minute, eh Rich? ;)

  • Also, brilliant entry Rich, I expected nothing less of the multi-talented writer of Sodor Dark Times!

  • That was fantastic. The real makings of a children's book next to a short video. Such a beautiful entry, mate =)

  • You keep outdoing yourself, Richard. It's amazing the stuff you make up--which is why you're head of Si3D. I give your video 2 thumbs up, 5/5, etc. But you really do a great job making this stuff. I say 3 cheers to you and may we see more of this stuff to come.

  • Lovely....just lovely.....

By the way, what route did you use?

  • Well this is certainly one of the best I've seen. It'll be interesting to see who comes first especially with Leokimvideo in the contest :)

  • Great job with this! You made this sound both sad and happy.

  • very good

  • Cracking Good entry Rich!

  • great entry. but be careful.

some asshole is downrating all the entrys.

  • Ah well, in the end, the ratings aren't what matter, but the contents of the video itself.

  • Yeah, I notice that too.
