  • Thanks to those who helped him....They are HEROS!!

  • @Retrosigns1 ...so often heroes go unnoticed amid violent incidents like this one

  • i have information on a few of the rioters, but it wont let me post.

  • damien williams the guy who threw the brick at denny is serving a life sentence for the attempted murder of a local drug dealer. antoine miller the one who jumped into dennys cab after damien threw the brick was shot to death out side of a night club in l.a (not sure of the location) but it happened in the early 2000's. Henry keith watson the guy who stepped on dennys head before the brick being thrown (who is also an ex marine, and an ex eight trey gangsta crip) owns a succesful cab service or

  • @bigben1986 Thank you for posting the information. I wonder if people would use that guy's cab service if they knew. Also wonder if he feels any remorse.

  • @bigben1986 they all should have gotten life, their sentences were politically motivated. what they did was attempted racist murder and there is no excuse for such terrorism

  • where can i find the clip of reginald denny on phil donahue?

  • yeah im wanting that too

  • It might be really tough to get that one. It could be a matter of respect given to Denny for his privacy if it's not available anywhere.

  • Great Story. Hate is wrong. It is a hard thing to overcome - something we have been taught over time - something that can be learned to overcome. Sometimes only with God's help. I just had to learn more about the story. Thank You. Sincerely, JAMES. -- I really hope and pray that Mr Denny is doing fine now in spite of his injuries. He is in my prayers.

  • Mr. Denny's speech and ability to walk were permanently damaged. It's good to send him prayers. Time reported in 2007 that a local from Denny's Arizona town said he was doing better, but that it was slow for him. But Time never actually talked to Denny. Understandably so, he has stayed far away from the media.

  • Hi. So then, it has been it has been like 14 years and still Mr Denny has problems that will more than likely be premanent and perhaps even life shortening. Well, what has happened to the 4 assassins who were arrested and convicted? Are they out of jail and how are their lives going for them? Where are they??? Cowards - all of them. I praise the man who stepped up and did something. We should all learn something from this man. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Go Vicki!

  • It was Vicki's portrayal of Lei Yuille that inspired me to write the song, "Don't Go," for the credits.

  • Interesting. Is this based on actual conversations or a writer's personal idea?

  • This little film is based on a true story. Bobby Green was hired by Transit Mixed concrete (later renamed Cemex) following the riots. Lei Yulle rode in the cab while Green drove Denny to the hospital. Two heroes not portrayed are Titus Murphy and Terri Barnett, who led Green to the hospital by shouting steering instructions from their Honda. Green couldnt see clearly through Dennys shattered windshield.

Some day Id like to redo this film—with a budget. (-: - Tysa Goodrich

  • im glad theirs people who actully still care for the innocents well being

    thank YOU!

  • A much delayed response, but you're welcome. It was a good first film project for me.

  • "When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast with a scientific and technological abundance. We've learned to fly the air as birds, we've learned to swim the seas as fish, yet we haven't learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters."

    Martin Luther King,Jr

  • Thank you for the quote from Martin Luther King. It's a really good one, and says it all.
