Do the Normans have to say sorry to us?
Do I, even though my German ancestors left Germany centuries before ww2, still have to apologise for the holocaust?

Also, the Romans persecuted the Celts AND the Germans, both of which i have ancestry, so do they have to apologise to me twice or just 2 half assed ones?

I'm sure Hitler's men studied lots of things. They were avid socialists, of course, and might have admired the Democrats of today as much as they admires the "progressives" of 100 years ago.
And of course, the admiration was mutual.
