  • asian but act like western, that gross

  • And he hasn't even been shown the natto yet.

  • Well.. it look REALLL delicious. But having an egg raw?..

  • @ThNamesJohn You can eat eggs that are fresh. Eggs that are in the grocery store (in the US) are usually sitting around for 2 weeks.

  • For what i think Japanese prefer fresh food which have both good and bad , for example :you could easy to get some disease or fresh food have more nutrients which make there live longer !

  • @Xxienjoymarshmellows How about getting a little informed before you start posting comments?

  • "I really wanna like it" Haha :D

  • wonderful and simple i would love to see how it tastes :)

  • I eat just the raw yolk, but not the white fluids. Come to think of it, you are supposed to remove the fluid before you put the yolk into the rice or noodles. The fluid is mostly water, which can dilute the flavour. That explains why the egg with rice doesn't look appetizing in this video.

  • I'm eating that right now.

  • it looks delicious

  • @mgblue

Have you no respect for other cultures. How does a raw egg and cooked rice make them animals? It's called food.

  • I heard Back-On in the background!!

  • The rice with eggie looks very yummy! ^-^ I would prefer it with just the egg yolk, thoughsies, heehee! ^-^ I like crispy egg whites, yummy! ^-^ Heehee! ^-^

    Yaysies! ^-^

  • @Anousenka Please don't ever talk like that again.

  • @Pedious Oh, but I willsie! ^-^ Foreversies! ^-^ Heehee! ^-^

    Yaysies! ^-^

    ♥ Annusya ♥

  • Is the rice cold or hot?

I can imagine that mixing a raw egg into a bowl of hot rice would taste very good.

  • looks like pudding rice or is it just normal rice?

  • dont u get salmonella poisoning from raw eggs ?

  • @buidseach Actually, everything in Japan is pretty organic.... raw eggs are safe to eat in Japan because the chickens aren't hold up in a chicken farm and loaded up with antiobiotics in their body like in the US

  • I tried using raw egg like a 'dipping sauce' in Chinese hot pot and it's not bad at all... But yea I guess I'll have a lot more rice for that one raw egg..

  • @catnip824 ugh i hate america becuz OF this shitty environment

  • I've always wanted to try that, but texture gets to me.. One day.. One day.

  • I've tried it in America with a farm egg - it's sticky for me - I even had it with alot of rice but not for me - I like a fried egg with rice.

  • @chibomato78 suppose u could boil the egg with the rice, that would make it taste better

  • Lennon Glasses!

  • Man, by his voice i never would have guessed the guy holding the camera was asain.

  • @tdbgamer I am too!! lol

  • Raw eggs on rice is pretty common.

  • not all japanis eat raw egg with rice,at least i hate it.

  • oh my, it's definitely not my breakfast

  • Thare are japanese who don't like a rare egg.

    It's me too.

  • Hey guys. This is better than egg swapping. yeah. I went there. So nasty....

  • back when i lived in japan i used to eat frosted flakes every morning...

  • guys.don;t be retarded.. eating none -organic eggs raw anywhere could get you killed..

  • This used to gross me out as kid. Now I appreciate how unbelievably awesome it is.

  • Hmm can't you get salmonella from raw eggs?

  • @IWantMyVisionBack

In Japan, eggs are very carefully checked not to cause food poisoning even if they are eaten raw.

I'm Japanese and sometimes eat a raw egg on rice, but I have never damaged my stomach.

  • @decosava is it good? :D and can i buy eggs from the market (in japan) and eat them raw, or do they have to be a special kind?

  • @ILUVFFANDKH

All eggs sold in the supermarkets in Japan are good enough to eat raw. Almost all of us Japanese people eat egg raw countless times in our lives. But I think you should be careful to eat the egg immediately after you beat it, and not to eat it raw if old, going bad, or kept outside of a refrigerator.

  • @decosava ohhh I see, how come you have to be carful after you beat it?

  • i don't understand these people who move to other countries and all they do is "gross this and I can't eat this" and other negativity. Food=such an important part of any culture and definitely so, in many Asian countries. If you don't get the food part, u may never completely get the culture part either...and just remember: MILLIONS of people for over THOUSANDS of generations have often eaten that 'gross food' for years in that country. Show some respect man.

  • @Babybobgirl I totally agree with you!

  • @Babybobgirl I would eat most Japanese foods save raw eggs and nato. It's OKAY to not like EVERYTHING. Many Japanese have preferences too you know.

  • @Babybobgirl if the man dont want to eat it dont kill him for it

  • @Babybobgirl that's like saying everyone in japan likes ALL the food they serve. tons of people don't like raw eggs, you know.

  • @Babybobgirl Having lived in Japan for 11 years, I have tried my fair share of what others would consider odd foods. Even most Japanese people agree that some of their foods are just odd, mainly because the Japanese include many multicultural dishes in meals nowadays giving them more perspective. My friends don't mind when I can't eat a certain food, and I have fully embraced the culture.

In the video he even says "I wanna like it". People grow up with different tastes.

  • @Babybobgirl he has tast it. you should watch the vids till they end -.-"

  • the raw egg is one of my favorite things - try the mountain potato, grated over hot rice with shiso or salmon eggs - sooooooooooo yum!

  • oh I love raw egg in rice - yummy!

  • hmmm.. i will try that egg rice thing, save's me cooking anything :D

  • @BillyNoMate expect for the rice.

  • rofl, is 11:07 considered breakfast? lol jk. but cool video, always wanted to try this

  • it actually tastes really good, u know with he egg yolk and soy sauce and all the flavour is good

  • just straight from the fridge onto the rice?!?! Is that even safe? I'm afraid it'd make my stomach sick.. I usually only eat eggs half raw.. So can anyone tell me if that's really safe?? (I'm curious now cuz i wanna try it x3) And should I use organic eggs or regular?

  • Salmonella Cereal! Yum!

  • @catnip824 -- Actually, raw eggs are safe to eat in Japan because they don't have a shitty environment.

  • @OhaiPanda wtf does raw eggs have anything to do with the enviroment?

  • @xcodia1 -- In some cases, the salmonella virus is just on the shell, so when you crack it, the inside gets infected. Clean environment = clean shell = no problems.

  • @OhaiPanda ic true that :)

  • @OhaiPanda what does it taste like?

  • @ILUVFFANDKH -- I don't really know how to explain it =_=;;, but I think it's really good and you should at least try it when you can ^^. I prefer mine with a little more soy sauce, as it adds flavor.

  • @OhaiPanda everywhere on world eggs are sold in market ,not street or come from village (unfortunately -bec village eggs taste a lot better, their yolks are nutricious and deeper yellow ,also chikens run free , eat real food insects ,not medical food

market eggs are made by "slave chicken" who can never touch the earth ,are all much safer than old times ,only people are so much obsessed with health ,that's all

  • @OhaiPanda xD This made my day ! xD

  • While a good environment can reduce the chance of getting something like salmonella (which isn't very common in the first place), ALL raw eggs can cause biotin deficiency when consumed. If you haven't heard, it's caused by a glycoprotein called avidin, which is found in the egg white. So unless eggs in Japan are fully yolk, I don't it's really any LESS safe. Raw eggs in general aren't necessarily dangerous unless you're eating them EVERYDAY. Smile! :)

  • @TYV29 Yes! Thank you so much. Now I can eat the leftover cookie batter with no inhibition!

  • @OhaiPanda Raw eggs are raw eggs. You can still get food poisoning, salmonella, etc. You run the exact same risks as eating a raw egg anywhere else. There are preventative measures you can take, i.e. not eating one with any cracks, but you're still taking the same risk.

  • @OhaiPanda so im assuming you ate that? what is it like really? i love raw food, sushi, lamb, blue steak (barely seared raw meat) sashimi, natto, but i stop at raw egg...

  • @0trashz -- It's really, really, REALLY good. And considering you love raw food, I suggest you try this at least once! Just remember to pour the egg on hot rice. ^^

  • and can someone plz inform me of what the percentage chance is of getting salomanela poising from raw eggs?

  • i've always wondered what the fuck you people eat for breakfast looks delicous. what kind of soup is that?

  • @00IRON001 miso probably. looks like miso

  • @Kakeechan what do you think?

  • i want to make some for breakfast on a weekend and give it to my parents and just see their expression :D but yeah i had this like, 10 minutes ago... it just tastes like egg yolk and the egg white is all slurpy it's funny to eat xDD

  • Raw eggs on rice, geez I have not had that in over 20 years.

  • 2:13 I see horikita maki :D

  • i would never ever eat raw eggs esp the egg white...it just looks eww

  • Raw egg over rice is delicious :D

I like adding those soup base instead of soy sauce.

  • "Seaweed...what is this? Seaweed..." You're eating it with your rice and yet you don't know what it is? Oh David.

  • i love egg over rice

  • the egg looks good!

  • HA!!! we see u!!! =p

  • ASIANS FTW

  • I would guess the texture of the egg in the rice is as if you had shrimp & lobster sauce without shrimp, or oyster sauce? I don't know. :P

  • my daily breakfast is misosoup with fruit/rice or natto/rice, but egg/rice is a good idea (normally i eat raw egg only in an udonsoup xD) x3

    i will try it tomorrow^^

  • @KazunaChan

i tried and decided... i dont like it xD

  • Common misconception about eggs and salmonela. Salmonela is present in the egg from its creation, it makes no difference whether the egg is raw or cooked the chances of salmonela being in it are just the same.

  • @DJAngiePangie

The difference is that cooking the egg will kill the salmonela.

  • oh god raw egg!!!!! I WANNA TRY IT!!

  • "My hair is a mess, and I've got glasses." Good excuse David. Haha.

  • you should introduce her to the great america breakfast BACON SHRIMP AND GRITS!

  • hot damn, japan has my kind of breakfast!

  • Is that safe? O_O

  • They often don't use the chemicals in chickens that us Americans do. Organic eggs severely cut down on the risk of salmonella.

So you could try it here even if you got the right eggs, but there's always a risk. I think the stats are like 1/10000 eggs has salmonella in it.

  • raw egg? I could never eat that, although it looks good =/

  • The glasses,

  • oh gawd!!! the glasses!! hahaha

    ...i love it

  • Indeed I want to try~
