The U.S.. will definitely still be a very important political actor in the international community. Although their economy may not be as powerful as once before, they would still be a strong nation. This is a turning point, and America has to choose a path to follow.
European Union will have new candidates to join on the eastern part . Eastern Europe potential is similar to western Europe potential. I think that Europe with have common army, economy, currency and foreing politics, that's the biggest issiue. I belive that U.S will lost it's influnce in the World, espesially in Europe and Asia but it will be still the big player with big economy and giant influence in Nothern America and it will be fighting for influences in Midlle East with China.
Unfortunetly U.S is getting weak and the future will not depend from the U.S.. Not only at least like it was 20 years ago. The world will depened from 3 Powers right now, not only 1. It will be E.U (Now it has bigger GDP then U.S) because it's getting more united then ever, and eastern Europe is getting stronger and stroger economicly. It's almost 500 Milion people in Europe. Europe will have 2x times bigger GDP then U.S in 2030. But the real power in 2030 will be the China.
A return to our former neutrality and isolationism is impossible today because of the interconnected essence of the modern world. Our intrests are too broad-reaching to simply hope for the best. This is the very reason we abandonded the Monroe Doctrine in the early 20th Century. The United States is the New World Order. There is no viable substitute for this role.
there is no such thing as a indispensable nation,all great empiers fall..over extending themselves,as we see 75% of our GDP going to pay for ourloans we are facing what will be bankruptcy...we will pull inwordsas we see sings of i today with imigration,and tryng to dealwith our own problems.....i think theyoung nation that we are will rebound but we will not go down with out taking a few countries with us.....as we see with greece today...spain tomarow.......
