I think Blind Guardian here knew they couldn't do better, so they just did the song as it is, making, in my opinion, the best cover of this song!

Every song that Blind Guardian covers (Mr. Sandman, Surfin' USA...) sounds a hundred times better than the original (maybe not Judas Priest's one), but with Dio... that's too hard, I guess that's why they didn't get into changing things...
