  • .. glen danzing? really?

  • I wish I could do backing vocals without a mic or headset. :(

  • The guys wanted to be the first punk band on the show and BA ended up having to work and Roadkill didn't want to get out of bed. So, Steve did grab buddies from the record store where he worked and him and the other dude switched instruments just to be ridiculous. He said he was Glen Danzig because he knew no one from the audience would know who Danzig was. Mystery solved!

  • I know B.A. I have him booked for a show at my venue in March. I'll email him now and ask him what's up with this crazy line up and we'll get it settled once and for all.

  • this is awesome!!

  • This video...should be in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This is literally, amazing to me. Wait...maybe it should be in my own personal...Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? So rad.

  • Fuck yes. If you want to feel my sweet Midwest, watch this; if you wanna' cry about it, listen to "Black Roses". SLOPPY SECONDS put out a record called "Destroyed" which is the best record ever released in the Midwest. I love MC5, Stooges, Gizmos, Z Boys, but I don't care about that. When you use the word "turd" on your big record, you win.

  • It's just basically Steve Barron and some jerk offs from Karma southside where Steve worked lip syncing a Sloppy tune on this dudes cable site....i guess steve was the only one who wanted to do the show, no one else did so he got some staff dudes at Karma to placate him and this goofy host hahaha Dumb.

  • Anyone know how to do your hair like the singer?

  • @fuji5534 easy grow the hair long cut it shortish in the back ...reverse mullet

  • Did he say Glenn Danzig? Like the Misfits?

  • At around 2:29 you can see B.A. behind the Mustaine-alike.

  • This is the weirdest video I have ever seen. I am a Sloppy Seconds fan...

  • @Afeckt Not Bobby Steele. They are lip syncing the album cut. It's B.A. on vocals. Someone on an earlier post said it could have been a guy by the name of Scotty Turns, but i don't know for sure.

  • Did not know Dave Mustane was a member

  • @marley8375 Was joking...

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but as the owner of "Hit Makers Showcase" aired "Sloppy Seconds" over 35,000 veiwers on American Cablevision and Comcast, saw them! And too say about 200 people saw them was very short sided.

  • @pjmiddlebrook1 Finally someone makes a comment with credibility. Going to visit your page and watch some of your clips.

  • this is some kind of joke right

  • Didn't know Dave Mustaine played guitar at one time for sloppy seconds...

  • Definitely not Danzig, could be Bobby Steele though, maybe around the same time they did Where Eagles Dare? I wish they would re-release their Nitro stuff on vinyl. And put another record out soon!

  • it looks like bobby steele more than glenn

  • lol, lip synching at its finest... I'm guessing the lead singer didn't want to be on tv... seeing as he's like 300lbs.

  • @Rodney17302

I'm 320 pounds and i love being on TV. Why would a person's weight discourage him or her from being on TV?

  • @ranndy101 Believe it or not, some people are self conscious about their weight. Even though he might be comfortable performing live (because most people know what to expect) he might not be comfortable performing on tv... even though I doubt more than 200 people saw this when it aired.

  • @Rodney17302

Believe it or not, B.A. wasn't always a large man. When this video aired, he was not overweight at all. So your guess was wrong. I'm not really sure why B.A. didn't appear in this clip, but i am sure that it wasn't because of his weight. Also, that is why i posted this clip. Many people did not know who Sloppy Seconds was when this clip was aired. You are probable right that less than 200 saw this performance live, though. One out of two guesses ain't bad.

  • @ranndy101 That's part of the experience though. If BA wasn't fat, and didn't stink, the show would just fall apart.

  • @Polybun Yeah, his stage dive is always the most... interesting part of being in the front row.

  • @Rodney17302 its probably just being done in the same style as "top of the pops" was for UK punk bands. where they werent allowed to actually play and had to lip sync. so bands started making it totally obvious that they were NOT playing and turning it more into a comedy showcase.

  • @vapido lol, like the Dead Milkmen on Club Mtv... good stuff, impossible to find the video though.

  • @Rodney17302 BA, bashful? Nooo.... His band is called "Sloppy Seconds".

  • Incredible that you rescued this from an old VHS tape and helped preserve a GREAT moment in punk/indie history! LOVE the energy and considering that they threw the guitar and lead singer in there as substitutes I think it's a fantaastic appearance! Thanks for posting this - I love it!

  • I like this, just because it's bizarre as hell

  • when was this recorded?

  • c'mon people....listen to it...it's the studio track.they're lip synching to it. it sounds different cuz the tape is obviously old and crappy---cool vid tho.

  • This is awsome!....So funny!.. Thanks to Ranndy!

  • Whoa

  • WHOA! The guy doing vocals is Scotty Turns ....If you look at some of there albums like "Destroyed, More Trouble Than They're Worth, and Knock Yer Block Off he is credited as backing vocals and or road crew...guess he was filling in...Wow not a bad job of it either! :) I used be a sort of "pen pal" of his he would send me mixCD'S and stuff....long story

  • @midnightaria I thought that was Scotty turns but i dont think that is him singing he has to much of a girl voice to sing like ba

  • @oni8245 Well he is either lip-syncing or he had a convenient head cold....LOL

  • I know BA the real singer haha I'll ask him what's up with this video

  • @howiefbr Tell BA hello. I kind of know him from the 20+ shows i've attended and talking to him after a Colts game.

  • @howiefbr HAHA! Ya, B.A. has put on a few pounds since this stellar performance that was filmed in a back room of a detroit crack den ..Uhhhhhh. What the fuck kind of shitty public access show is this? Bunch of clowns...

  • @howiefbr dude i'm pretty sure this video is supposed to be obvious that it's not them. they call the lead singer glen danzig... and their insturments weren't even plugged in. pretty sure it was supposed to be a joke.

  • @anglicky69 Thats what i got from the whole thing. But than again, i am clearly smarter than most *squinted eyes*.

  • Whatever the hell this is...It sure as hell is NOT the Sloppy Seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dgenerated Well, it actually is the drummer and bass player for Sloppy Seconds. For some reason Danny Thompson couldn't make the show and i am not sure who or why the singer is different. That is why i asked for help with info on this video. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Just thought this video should be out there.
