John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that whosoever believed in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." NEW testament! Jesus made the way to God for all of us! it is NOT about who can keep all the commandments..it is about jesus and the cross. we could never be perfect, this is why God sent Jesus, he paid the price FOR us. we just have to accept that He is our Savior and ask for his forgiveness. It is that easy. God loves you so much!
@GodNonBeliever --Psalm 137:9 Sounds bad yes, but you have to know what was going on then. You can't take one (1) verse out and think you prove something.
Mark 2:25-26, But Jesus replied, "Didn't you ever hear about the time King David and his companions were hungry, and he went into the house of God-Abiathar was High Priest then-and they ate the special bread only priests were allowed to eat? That was against the law too. But the Sabbath was made to benefit man, and not man to benefit the Sabbath. And I, the Messiah, have authority even to decide what men can do on Sabbath days!"
The song is pretty good.. "Forgive me for my sins god, cause I can't help them." The theist mantra against actually changing their own bad behavior ^^
Just because the museum is open 7 days a week does not mean that the employees work 7 days a week. After Jesus came we are no longer bound to the Saturday sabbath, and even though Christians usually have Church on Sunday, we are not bound to that either. What is important is that you spend at least one day a week resting from your work, spending that time, and time during the rest of the week, worshiping God.
"After Jesus came we are no longer bound to the Saturday sabbath..."
I quote GCBiggles, "...they can't even agree amongst themselves WHICH day the Sabbath is." Basically, stating that the rules are now arbitrary; people can make them up as they find convenient. All being good, of course, so long as the proper lip service is paid to the relevant deity. So what's the point, again, in calling them god's laws if people can make it up as they go? Is it a law, or is it an option?
I think the reason they are eager to sweep the Sabbath commandment under the rug is because they can't even agree amongst themselves WHICH day the Sabbath is.
God was clear as mud.
But since they work for 7 days, they must hit it somewhere!
Best part of the Answers in Genesis web site is their page of "Arguments we think creationists should NOT use."
All the old favorites are there. Each one thoroughly debunked by science.
But that doesn't stop creationist idiots from still using them. ;)
Christians believe that once you are a christian you will want to keep gods commands. because you love him. there is NO way that you can keep all of his commands.. we all are sinners. of course these workers have a choice whether of not the work on Sunday. but. say that my friend hurt his leg and it was on Sunday i would still help him walk. IT IS NOT A SIN. these workers are doing gods work, therefore it is not a sin. Jesus healed a blind man the the sabbath. it was gods work. its not a sin!
\\there is NO way that you can keep all of his commands.//
Then if it's really impossible to keep all the commands, then why keep any at all? Why have rules at all if a single infraction dooms you to damnation? Why hang on to them if simple lip service to the god son is all that is required for redemption. Like so many before you, you reiterate the arbitrary nature of the judeo-x-ian dogma.
You are referring to the Sabbath as the existed in Old Testament times. Christians can choose any day of the week as their Sabbath day (day of rest).
The Bible says in Colossians 2:16,17 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body (substance) is of Christ.
The fact is that as long as museum employees have one day off every week, they are not breaking the Sabbath.
No, I'm not saying that at all. I didn't make anything up. I am just quoting exactly what the Bible says and not taking it out of context. It indicates that believers can choose one day of the week as their day of rest. The Bible also says in Mark 2:27, "The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath" It is a day for rest and to worship God not to exalt a particular day of the week. The problem is that you won't admit you made a mistake due to lack of knowledge on this subject.
What you have failed to see is that those who defend the the museum do not cite Mark 2:27, nor do they cite Colossians 2:16-17. They cite from the Old Testament. If they had cited the New Test. passages, then your argument would hold water, but they never do. Either they themselves do not know about the New Test. passages or they simply do not care. They who count on the blind faith of mindless followers who "Dont think, just listen & believe."
I realy cant believe that we send man to the moon and then end up with $hit like this. I think most little hicks towns dont have libraries and the only book they got to read is the bible. It is a spit in the face of all the real science museum around the world when they call them self a museum. This is so hurt full to the kids by thinking this is real science. The next kids that come here could be the next Einstein.
Most Christians do That forces workers to break the commandment ur speaking of Please consider what ur saying and choose your words carefully when dealing with GOD'S words We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God Instead of using God's air to complain about your authority's decisions pray that God will give them wisdom and discernment because we're all sinners
"Most Christians do That forces workers to break the commandment"
According to most of the x-ians I've spoken to, god does not accept excuses for breaking any of the commandments. It's spelled out pretty plainly. Realize that this isn't my belief, its x-ian belief.
Tho you have the right to your own opinion dont write about something you know nothing about As employees there my husband and I along with most of employees there wish that the museum wasnt open on Sundays but do you go to the grocery store gas pump or a restaurant on Sunday
"do you go to the grocery store gas pump or a restaurant on Sunday[?]"
Seeing as I do not subscribe to religious delusions, I'd have to say yes; working on Sunday is no problem for me. I am simply pointing out that, according to their own doctrine, it is a problem for x-ians (for it is a sin against god punishable by death) therefore it stands to reason that at least AIG should be observant of that fact.
umm... think about it... what kind of museum is this? oh yes... a CREATION museum... and what else... a CHRISTIAN museum... i guess you didn't get that part. they are teaching people about God. we go to Church on the Sunday... is that wrong?
No, the place is trying to convince people that ALL scientific achievement is wrong & that there is ONLY god to explain everything in the universe. There isn't anything wrong with people going to church; there is something wrong when people are told that delusional fairy tales are science.
"Do you include Darwin's book as "delusional fairytales"?"
To dismiss evolution also means you dismiss everything else that it supports & supports it, like chemistry, biology, genetics, physics, geology, medicine & paleontology just to name a few. Do you dismiss gravity as just a delusional theory? Evolution has evidence to support it, all religion has is faith. Therefore, calling evolution a religion is desperate slander by someone who has nothing to contribute to humanity.
Evolution is almost dead in the water. It is currently on tax-payer paid life support. Creation science offers more plausible answers to the biggest questions of life, why am I here?, where did I come from? etc. Creationists offer certain findings (anomalies) that conventional science cannot answer. For example, the iron pot found in a coal seam, dinosaur foot prints found with human foot prints in limestone, living dinosaurs sighted in some swamps and more.
Pray tell, which nether world do you live in so that I may see this? Because in the real world the science of evolution is thriving. Calling it dead is as accurate as saying California is on the verge of sinking in the ocean. 'creation science' is an oxymoron, suitable for morons.
"living dinosaurs sighted in some swamps and more."
And they've been seeing bigfoot & the Loch Ness monster for centuries. Hoaxes & over active imaginations.
Do not tempt the Lord your God with California. If it does slide into the sea, it will be because of Sodom (San Francisco) and Gomorah (Los Angeles). So be careful! As for the dinosaurs, take a look at the evidence: rock paintings, carvings and the like depicting these animals by certain indian tribes proves that dinosaurs have been seen by man. Still in doubt? Check out Glen Rose, Texas footprints!
"Still in doubt? Check out Glen Rose, Texas footprints!"
Why do you creationist always have this delusional belief that you are telling us something new. Do you think I've never heard of Carl Baugh, the man who claims the foot print discovery? The man who even Answers in Genesis criticized. The man has no credentials & his "discovery" has been dismissed by scientists as well as church groups false. Get over it.
"As for the dinosaurs, take a look at the evidence: rock paintings, carvings and the like ..."
Ooh, I think I saw what you're referring to. There were even names: Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Bam Bam & Dino. Rock paintings were of mammoths & other ice age animals that science knows shared the Earth with humans. There are no paintings of man with a T.Rex or a Brontosaurus. Other depictions were a mix of misinterpretation of fossils & pure fantasy, just like your bible.
"Do not tempt the Lord your God with California. If it does slide into the sea, it will be because of Sodom (San Francisco) and Gomorah (Los Angeles). So be careful!"
More threats from someone who has no valid evidence to present for an intelligent debate. Someone so full of fear that he feels the need to share it with others. Try this: FUCK your god....what was that, an earthquake....no...wait...I just farted. False alarm.
If California does go, I can just hear your Governor screaming, "get to the chopper"! Ha, ha! Anyway, what was it you said about God? I think you'll get your chance to tell Him yourself when Judgement Day comes just before he tosses you into the flames!! Until then, keep your farts to yourself. I see you need to be purged of all sin and misinformation!! :)
"I think you'll get your chance to tell Him yourself when Judgement Day comes just before he tosses you into the flames!!"
I think you'll have a lot of explaining to do when you go before Odin in the halls of Valhalla. He'll say "All you've done is speak empty threats about a false god! Fucking pussy!" right before he whips his cock out & beats you senseless with it. And I don't even want to say what Zeus will do to you.
It is not necessary to dismiss other scientific disciplines like chemistry, physics etc. It just means doing a re-write of history concerning our understanding of dinosaurs and man. The evidence points to a radically different history than some scientists would like. It would include giant men living with dinosaurs in a world featuring hyperbaric atmosperic conditions for starters.
"It is not necessary to dismiss other scientific disciplines like chemistry, physics etc."
To deny evolution is to deny every other discipline because they all interweave. A doctor cannot be a doctor without knowledge of many disciplines. No science is isolated from the others; findings in one helps to support the others. I know people like you would just love to re-write history, but you will never be able to change the facts.
I'm disappointed with your lame response, Deadman3913. I expected better. Evolution or evilution is being denied by a good many scientists. They have books out. Now, if the facts are that you believe in the great monkey theory that man came from the ape, keep on believing it. But the facts of life favour creation above all else. So swallow hard and say, "I'm sorry Lord Jesus, please forgive me".
NO scientist are not saying that evolution doesn't exist they are saying what is wrong with thinking that a divine being had a hand in it can be up for discussion. Watch the Ben Stein flic again.
I don't need the Ben Stein flic. The Bible is the only source I need and nothing can trump that!! Evolutionists can play with their make-believe fantasy theory which is dead in the water or they can observe a more honest scientific approach which is creation-science.
"Evolution or evilution is being denied by a good many scientists."
Wow, evil-ution, that's SO original! Just like your denial of reality. I'm am quite certain there are lots of people who call themselves scientist denying evolution, but even a 10 year will notice that none of them can be found at any accredited university.
"So swallow hard and say, "I'm sorry Lord Jesus, please forgive me"."
Funny you say that, for I picture you in front of jesus, on your knees, preparing to swallow hard. Although, I don't think you'll be able say anything comprehensibly.
"I'm disappointed..."
You should be used to that feeling. When you die alone in a depends full of your own feces, wondering where god is to save you, the disappointment will be crushing! Especially when it sinks in that THERE IS NO god!
"Evolution or evilution is being denied by a good many scientists."
Do me a favor; name them & tell me what University they come from. I'm sure there must be a few whose credentials can stand up to the likes of C.Sagan, R.Dawkins, N.deGrasse Tyson & K.Miller.
"Check out "In the Beginning" by Walt Brown,PhD. That shoud keep you busy for about a week."
Actually I read it in 4 days. Now i can go on & on about the paradox of someone with a PhD from MIT actually writing such pseudoscience, but the fact that other creationist organizations such as Answers in Genesis, The Christian American Scientific Affiliation & the Institute for Creation Research all do not support his claims speaks volumes.
"Check out "In the Beginning" by Walt Brown,PhD. That shoud keep you busy for about a week."
I should add: Why is it that this PhD holding 'scientist' has only one, self published book to his credit? Surely his claims, flawless as they are, would be scooped up by any credible publishing entity, right? Why hasn't he published with any creationist organizations? Do they not believe the same things? Or perhaps he's just another delusional crackpot you thought only you knew about.
"Check out "In the Beginning" by Walt Brown,PhD. That shoud keep you busy for about a week."
Evolution aside, consider that Brown's notion of the hydroplate hypothesis does not stand up against simple geology & physics. His claims about ocean features & catastrophism do not (excuse the pun) hold water when scrutinized against modern plate tectonics. There's a reason why this man is fading into obscurity.
See, the 'museum' is NOT a church. It is a business, they employ (pay) people to be there to collect money from patrons (who aren't necessarily worshipers). Therefore, the establishment is breaking the 4th commandment; they are working on the sabbath. A violation that is punishable by death according to the bible.
Sorry to say but this was a lot of time wasted. Deadman3913, if you just kept reading on into the New Testament, you'd find that certain laws no longer apply. But people like you look over any evidence that would make you out to be the loser. But in this case it can not be ignored, you lose.
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law of Moses or the Prophets (i.e. Old Testament). I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them! In truth I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even the smallest stroke of a letter will pass away from the Law" Matthew 5:17-18.
So what do you think jesus meant by that if it doesn't mean that all of god's laws still apply? Or did you miss that part of the bible? Exactly which part says we can forget about ANY of the ten commandments as outdated? How much research have you done? Change your name to doesntthink@all.
"Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, & teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does & teaches THEM, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:19, just in case you believed I may be taking things out of context. Show me which text contradicts jesus' own words in the gospel of Matthew. Or have not gotten up to that part yet.
Either jesus' word is law, or the bible contradicts itself & the word of jesus; which is it? Sufferers of complete neural atrophy, such as yourself, count on others to be as clueless as you clearly are, but as always, its your ilk that comes up short. Go pray in the closet like jesus said to do & stop being a total embarrassment to the human race.
The Creation Museum.... Magnet for the nation's morons. This would be a good spot for a "Bag em and tag em campaign so we can study this variety of the Superstitious Gullibilicus subspecies.
He is God, i am only human, i can NEVER understand his love.

Deadbeat3913: Check out "In the Beginning" by Walt Brown,PhD. That shoud keep you busy for about a week.

Deadman3913 4 years ago

Deadman3913 4 years ago
Either jesus' word is law, or the bible contradicts itself & the word of jesus; which is it? Sufferers of complete neural atrophy, such as yourself, count on others to be as clueless as you clearly are, but as always, its your ilk that comes up short. Go pray in the closet like jesus said to do & stop being a total embarrassment to the human race.

The Creation Museum.... Magnet for the nation's morons. This would be a good spot for a "Bag em and tag em campaign so we can study this variety of the Superstitious Gullibilicus subspecies.

Nicely done. I hadn't thought about the apparent hypocrasy of leaving the anti-museum on a Sunday. That was a good catch!

Thanks. That's very much appreciated. Sometimes a little OCD can be a slight benefit. Of course, in the Navy we just called it 'attention to detail'.
