The thing about the Ion is you need to upgrade it to make it decent. Everything you put on it is your choice and you can put just about anything on an Ion. So by the time you´re done (and you never are) you have a very unique gun that is entirely you. That´s why the Ion has a cult-like following.

nitrogen is compressed air? do u meen co2 and nitrogen? c02 has water particles wich will quickly ruin your gun.nitrogen is pure air its more accurate. better for your gun, and most the time lighter.

CO2 doesn't have water particles, its just in a liquid phase, which is conveniently cold enough to freeze the O-rings if it happens to run through your marker as liquid (doesn't always happen, but it surely can)...Compressed air, ie. N2 (nitrogen) exists in your tank in the gas phase, which is much warmer in that state, and thus cannot freeze the O-rings.

i have a problem my ion is leaking but not enough that it won't shoot but you can hear the escaping air easily none of the hose are damaged the banjos are on all the way blah blah but still a leak.. any ideas?

The o-rings have paint on them from some minor ball breaks. Take your gun completely apart and clean the o-rings and it will work fine. Clean the bolt o-rings and the bolt itself and put some hater sauce on it! Then it will work good. Happend to my SP-1.
