  • do you spray it on wet hair or damp hair?

  • @isolatedflee I spray it on dry hair. It becomes damp from the spritz.

  • coconut oil works well as a detangler

  • i don't use conditioners and shampoos and stuff.but i did make my detangler with organic acv,an organic oil,and water and it worked well

  • i switched to terressentials organic mud shampoo.i love it,it smells great and it's healthy.

  • you can use black soap as shampoo, thats natural

  • @jazzepink Yea, I know. BUT, I've never tried it before and am not ready to venture into something I've never tried before just yet. Maybe soon though :-)

  • I am detangling my hair today, after 7 weeks. I will try your recipe.

  • I just detangle in the shower with my wide tooth comb and shampoo then twist with condish and cover bag and deep treat. Keep twist in rinse with cool water and ACV.

  • Natural Hair Detangler Recipe

    8 oz. distilled water

    1 tsp. aloe vera gel

    1-2 drops glycerin

    1-2 drops essential oil

    15 drops Grapefruit seed Extract

  • I think I'm going to use this on some of my clients it's cheaper and easier to make .. Great video !!!

  • @vickyvue yes! I think I am moreso determined to use up what I already got lying around. That really influenced me to do this challenge.

  • @prowoman Thanks!! I am determined to get my hair vids out!! Look, you just can't beat conditioner under a dollar especially if you go through half a bottle a week like I do!

  • @thelalena30 thanks! I got my last relaxer in 2003. But I've had locs and cut my hair twice since then.

  • @brownshuga24 I will have to check her vid out and try that as well! Thanks!

  • @suzieqshair Honestly, I don't know. I bought it six year ago before I realized there were different numbers.

  • @21bahamas I've used plain water before too, but I seem to get more breakage. Conditioner or something providing slip helps smooth the strands so they slip away from each other more than water alone. Cold water helps close the cuticles, but I'm not a fan of cold water either!

  • @lvoluv3 no, there was no vinegar smell because I washed my hair right after. Many say rinsing is all you need to rid the smell.

  • I'll have to try this. Did you hair smell like vinegar afterward?

  • man , i just use straight water to detangle, but i think i'll def. try ur recipe for sure!

  • What kind of denman brush are u using? Thnks

  • I do something VERY similar. I add glycerin, the condish is Deeper Moisture by Giovanni. I want to add aloe, and see how it compares

  • This just made me want to go detangle my hair. The shedding looked average to me.... but I experience more then average shedding also. Might try this tomorrow... Normally I mix half and half water and conditioner then spay and detangle before I shampoo... I only detangle maybe once a week...

  • Interesting. I add some ACV to my cheapie conditioners for a co-wash but never used as a detangler. I use my fingers most of the time.

  • Interesting. I add some ACV to my cheapie conditioners for a co-wah but never used as a detangler. I use my fingers most of the time.

  • Naptural85 recently posted her recipe for a natural conditioner using greek yogurt and a tiny bit of ACV. She said it did a terrific job of detangling and moisturizing. I eventually plan to try it...I'll have to try your recipe as well. I'm always on the hunt for the bomb detangler.

  • I do pretty much the same thing so good work and love you length how long have you been natural

  • I find full fat yogurt, water and acv works well to!

  • I'll do a detangling pre-poo with coconut oil and maybe a VO5 moisture milk(usually $1 or 88cents on sale) or maybe a tressemese conditioner, the bottles are HUGE and last for months.

Gonna try using apple cider vinegar. IT STINKS!!! So I'll only be using it for prepoo not leave-ins....use aloevera for that. Gonna try honey oil and water too.

I'll report back with results....*Waving Hi* Heyyyy Ria,good to see you,hun....

    Love that bracelet.....:)

  • In today's economy, in my opinion, you have to become more creative in everything you do (i.e., eating, household products, and hair products) I've been adding Aloe Vera Juice and Castor Oil to my whipped Shea Butter for a great moisturizer, and for a pre-poo conditioner, I use VO-5 Moisture Milks Conditioner with EVOO prior to shampooing, and then as a leave-in treatment I use Cantu Shea Leave-In Conditioner with Aloe Vera Juice, Castor Oil, and Jojoba oil.

  • @VickyVue So true Vicky....Some of my high sulfate shampoos that I don't use often on my

hair anymore,I didn't throw them away,I use them as household cleaners.Wash my tub, toliet

even mopped with a high sudsing sulfate shampoo,it's a really good household cleaner too.

Use it as a clarifyer on my hair.
