This arrangement is based on Final Battle complete version, which is used at FM-77AV port of Ys1. The short version(perhaps initial version?) was used at many ports, including PC-Engine, Falcom Classics(Sega Saturn) version and DS version.
@arx7893 On the PC engine it was longer, it had an additional part near the middle of the song. However it missed the part like between 0:16-0:50 as well as 1:05-1:55 in the video above.
While it's a good remix, I really think they should remade the PC Engine version, not the Eternal one... Btw, i liked the instruments used in the DS version, but they tried to resume the musics, without that it could be much better.
It's actually remake of one of the older one. One that came out earlier than PE ver. BTW, original Eternal that came out in 1997 had totally different version of Final Battle. I guess you are referring to Ys 1 complete, remade in 2001 with Ys 2 Eternal engine.
Aww.. It reminds me of the countless times that I fell through the floor :S
Kick ass arrangement though! Hell yeah, PSP version was the boss!

He should have remixed the version in Ys I Complete. It is easily the best version in existence. Real talk.

@Despatche NOPE.avi Chronicles version is the best, because it sound much more alive. complete version sounds like midi.

@KT1keytee Ah, so you don't know what MIDI is. Either way, I was referring to how Complete added this huge chunk that's worth preserving.

Kinda irked me that they didn't have the full song in the DS version. Just a little loop of the beginning...
