  • do we need thoughs strings after whatever you call it

  • i was looking up shoes and somehow i got here.

  • How long after this did you get back to college / work? I've gotta get this done at some point but even with just 2.5mm between my top and bottom jaw, it's still going to get fairly swollen and, I could imagine the swollen appearance feeling fairly humiliating, also, after your jaw healed did you have any speech difficulty, where the any words of letters you had to re-learn how to pronounce?

  • @xdeadstarpsyclonx 10-14 days, friend. That's the minimum amount of time you should stay at home and rest until going back to ANYTHING.

  • Thanks for all your videos. I had my top jow moved forward 6mm this morning (a large difference from your 13!) but I'm kind of amazed at how decent I feel. Eating out of a syringe is definitely not fun, but I'm getting through it all. Thanks again.

  • @Drahthaar422 Best of luck in your road to recovery. Take it easy, and stick to the diet.

  • How did you eat? What did you eat? (After the surgery)

  • I have one more question. Did you insurance cover the whole cost of the surgery and if you don't mind me asking which insurance do you have?

  • @jkills24 Fully covered. Bluecross/Blueshield of Minnesota

  • Hi thanks for sharing your story with us. I was wondering when would be the best time i should get my surgery. I am 16 years old right now, turning 17 in a couple of months. My doctors told me that i should get the surgery at age 18 because thats when I stop growing. If i get the surgery at an early age they said that my jaws might grow out of its position after the surgery. Did your doctors tell you the same? Thanks.

  • @jkills24 The best time to get your surgery is when you stop growing. 18+. I got mine when I was 19.

  • It's funny how different you can look; having the underbite, and after the correction. The improvement is obvious.

  • Hey I just watched your videos and I am having this surgery probably within the next year. I wanted to ask, how do you find your jaw healed? I have read some things with people saying their top jaw felt loose and slided a bit, or they felt like the bones didnt fuse together totally. For the long term do you find that you can use your jaw normally now?

  • @visualvision It feels as it did before surgery. Your jaw should completely fuse back together. If not, you either have bad bones or a bad surgeon. 6 weeks after my surgery, I was able to use my jaw entirely as I was able to use it before surgery, if not better.

  • how long did u have to wear braces before and after surgery?

  • how bad was the pain after jaw surgery? i have about 1/4 of an inch gap between my lower and bottom teeth i know i've got to have bone cut out top and bottom, i'd really like some questions awnsered anything would help

  • @MALH15 The pain isn't terrible. It's manageable if you take the meds they give you and sleep a lot. The first 4-5 days are the worst, but again, you will most likely be given pain medication to get through those days. And it works really well. Past those 4-5 days, (was really more like 3-4 for me), it gets slightly better every day.

  • @sicnor553 I have a question about the procedure itself. The doctor gave me a short version of what's done and he said he'd have to break my jaw before. I'm not too worried about that but I'm really curious as to how they do that. Like what kind of tool do they use or do they use their hands? I know this may seem like a dumb question but I would really like to know how the jaw breaking is done.

  • @SirFakeName There are numerous videos of the actual procedure on youtube, if you aren't too queasy to watch them. Basically, incisions are made in the gumline, and then a small bone saw is used to remove the portion of the jaw from its fused area, and then moved to where they want it to be. Then, plates and screws are used to fuse it back into place. Then, your bone naturally fills in the gap over time.

  • did you have to brush your teeth after the surgery ?

  • alright man am getting this op in about a months time but mines top and bottom jar and gettin implants in my cheeks .....did you lose much weight ?

  • Hi, thanks for posting this video. I have to make a big decision about having this surgery soon and I'm leaning more towards a yes than a no. I'm just scared (I know everybody feels this in some way when having surgery) but I'm so torn. I used to get bullied a lot at school because of it and it upset me and my confidence hasn't fully come back since then. I would really appreciate some advice or guidance as I really want it doing, just last minute jitters! Thanks again.

  • @SparrowJack789 it's the same with me

  • uuummmm what are the bands for aaddnn do they saty in the whole time u heal or can u take them out?? and was it hard to eat?? er drink lol

and was the swelling all that bad srry it's just i'm getting jaw surgery on my bottom jaw alittle on my top jaw and a little bit on my nose

  • thanks a lot for the video.

  • what happen if u throw up after surgery?

  • Wait the rubber bands are connected to you braces? how long are they in and how do you eat?

  • I'm goin in in about 8 hours ! I have some mixed emotions. nothin a 16 year old cant handle right!? :| LOL welll thanks for the video!

  • ^^^^ I DID IT, and im recovering like, amazing!. I'm recovering great i can talk normally pretty much, I have a lot of variety when it comes to the food i can eat, and I kinda see the results already.

Thanks again for the vidd, prepared me and i wasnt nervous ! :)

  • how long did you have to keep the plate in your mouth?

  • When does the lower jaw stop growing? I am 22 and i think i have stopped growing and i have an underbite but it's not big enough to matter. If my jaw grows out though it will suck seriously. Should i be worried?

  • What did you eat/ drink after the surgery?

  • am supposed to do this too, preferably as soon as possible but am single and i dont have someone to go to who will take care of me or smth, so i wanted to know, wud it be hard fending for yourself after surgery? am still young and i dont wanna wait too long, wud it be dangerous if i were to do this when am older? i do get discomfort from my jawlocking 24/7 and neck pain etc and all other crap, but i can deal with it if u tell me that it s best to have someone taking care of you

  • whys your nose bigger

  • jus had this 3 days ago and i wouldnt recomend it to anyone i canr eat i cant sleep my mouth is fukk of blood my stomach hurts and im lm loosing wieght fast it really is hell and i only had the bottom jaw and 4 wisdom teeth out and my bite wasnt even that far off in the first place people were telling me not to do it because i looked fine without im very self cauntious tho. but yea it sux i still smoke pot tho since the day i got out its the only thing helping me threw this

  • You are an idiot. But I won't delete your comment specifically because you are. You aren't supposed to smoke anything after ORAL SURGERY. That's probably why you are doing so terrible.

Get off the f'in drugs and let your body heal naturally. Nobody said this surgery was easy.

Also, I can tell you it will only get better from now on. The first few days suck. But that's all you're getting from me. I'm not nice to idiots.

  • you still smoke shit after your mouth survery... i hope you will have to go back under the knife for scar tissue and shit~ you should know better than to smoke anything~ you arent even suppose to kiss or lick someone because of infections and germs mother fucker~

  • @wolfgang29 hahahaha dude.... u didnt get drysocket?

  • HOW OLD wERE YOU WHEN YOU GOT THE SURGERY?

  • it seems really painful

  • how did u eat?

  • +1 for starcraft 2 desktop

  • i will be getting this done! but do the screws stay in or do they take them out?

  • the screws stay in place

  • Hey man! I'm getting this done on the 22nd, check out my "Before" video, I'll post it as a vid-response.

  • my mom kept saying how after the surgery, you cannot talk well at all and you intake food through a tube for 2 weeks. i am guessing that is not true? hahaha

(my mom really doesn't support me doing this surgery)

  • Liquid food for at least a week I think, from what I've read, bu definitely not through a tube, LOL.

But hey, even if it's through a tube, so what? Small price to pay for the confidence you'll gain afterward. And that certainly has a lasting positive effect for the rest of your life.

Good luck, and I suggest to not listen to her. LOL. Parents mean well... but... *shrugs* If my own parents had put me on braces earlier I wouldn't have been in this position now, or at least not this bad.

  • actally it is true, u doo have to eat grined food through a tube

  • congrats man, you look phenomenal. the only thing i'm worried about is the relapse. i'll be having screws placed in either side of my jaw, preventing it from happening. but ultimately i still get a little worried.

  • i justttt had my surgery done! its sucksss!!! i had my top jaw done about 6 months ago abd i had my lower jaw done last tues!! its horrible!! =[

  • do they have to break your jaw

  • "Break" is such a terrible word to use.

Learn more about it by searching "orthognathic surgery"

and don't bother watching the actual surgery videos, it only scares you and does not help you in your decision.

  • thanks for the info

  • do u need braces to get this surgery done?

  • 95% of people do

  • i'm 10 and i have a undrebite. how do you stop your jaw from growing

  • i dont think you can darling..

  • You can't stop it from growing. And you're only 10... wait about 8 years before you decide that you have one. Until then, tell your parents to take you to the orthodontist to get checked out!

  • i must say, the results look nice. i have an underbite, as did both both my brother and my sister .their bites were fixed w/o surgery. however, my bite is worse than theirs and my dentist and orthodontist are both suggesting surgery. my parents dont want me to have the surgery mainly because of the cost. also, my bottom lip and jaw stick out farther than my top lip when you look from the side....can anyone tell me if they have had a positive result from surgery with improving their side profile?

  • Hey, im 15. I have an underbite, its not really that noticable unless you look at me from the sideview. If I get braces do you think it will stop my underbite? Or do I have to get surgery for it?

  • I"m getting this done in about a year but i'm getting the bottom jaw fixed, im really scared but like you said it is worth it.

  • so were u advised to have a soft diet for several days?

  • yeah i totally understand that and thank you. for me its for my health. its gonna progressively get worse and im always getting headaches and ect. but i do think its gonna be THE BEST thing thats happened to me in my life.

  • kindaa. i mean i kno im gonna be swolen because its surgery [of course] but ima be okay. I just didnt know it was gonna b like THIS much yu kno ?

  • That's the cost of the surgery... looking like a marshmallow for a while. If you're not willing to go through with it then the surgery is not for you. But having gone through it, I would do it again, and wouldn't care about the swelling. Because what matters in the end are the results, and the functionality, being able to talk, eat, breathe properly, and looking NORMAL instead of disfigured is great too.

It's up to you to weigh out the costs and benefits. Is the end worth justifying the means?

  • The point of these vids are NOT to scare people. They are to assist already scared people in easing their worries, answering their burning questions, so that they are NOT scared, because there isn't anything to be afraid of. For some, this procedure is probably going to be the greatest thing that ever happened to them... for others... it's only to fix a minor cosmetic issue. But for everyone, it's there to prepare you for what lies ahead, thus helping you deal, and lessening your fears.

  • OMG. IM SCARED NOW. im having this surgery too :( im being hopeful tho.

  • You are scared now?

  • does it hurt really bad this is from a under bite right

  • I was wondering if any of this operation [post and pre] interfered with any school work or anything? i'm 17 and i just got approved to see a surgeon about my underbite.

  • i have to get the same surgery. how do they do it? cut open and shave the bone? and i was wondering how much it cost....

  • IS THIS UNCOMFORTABLE?! I need it soon

  • Hey. I just had the surgery four days ago... I'm hurting a little in the side of my left ear at times. I want to know:

    1. Did you recover the sense in your lower lip? (You know, because of the nerves)

    2. Is it true that after the surgery people have to wear retainers forever?

    3. Did your ear ever hurt?

  • Does the insurance cover the procedure because I've heard they call it cosmetic when really its not

  • my girlfriend had a very similar procedure. Wow!

  • did there really use your hip bone?

  • so how long after the surgery do you get to take off the splint

  • hey Sicnor, did the doctor say anything about the percentage of permanent lip numbness?

  • I have heard figures. I'm not sure how correct they are. But there's about a 30% chance to have lip numbness. It will come in varying degrees. But the chance decreases with your surgeon's experience.

  • I apologize to those who have commented months ago and have not seen their comments. For some reason there is an "approval pending" option under your comments. I'll try to fix it. Thank you.

  • what is sicnor?

  • I was playing Unreal Tournament 2003 a long time ago (well, obviously, in 2003) and used to play against a person who called himself "Sicnor." He was really good and a really nice guy. I never got to talk to him--but he remains a legend. I adopted his name ever since and it remains a name I cherish with honor.

Also - it's derivative of "Signor" in Italian. "Signor" really means "Sir" in italian. Quite the humble name I think.

  • Hey man I just e mailed you but I just had to write on here, i was dreading this whole procedure, but watching your videos have actually made me really excited about it. Thanks a lot!!

  • ben i didnt notice this till now but you kind of look like Cliff Blezinski from Epic games, thats awsome lol.

  • hahah i remember watching this like 5 months ago being like ahh i have so long until i get the surgery and here i am day 4 watching your video again, but now its my head thats the size of a small watermelon

  • yes....that may be me in the future, I have a severe overbite and was told a may need surgery...thanks for these videos.

  • just had the surgery about 4 days ago. the diet is hell

  • I have my 1 week update on my top AND bottom jaw surgery so be sure to check it out. Thanks.

  • im gonna have the same surgery in like 3 years and im so scared. how bad was it?

  • hey i'm supposed to be getting upper and lower jaw surgery in a month. I'm concerned about how the upper jaw surgery will change the dynamics of my nose. Do you think I'll be able to go back to school in two weeks?

  • what'd you do to sleep better? it's hard to sleep when you keep waking up every 3 hours all hot and sweaty and finding blood clumps in your mouth.. any advice?

  • Hot and sweaty indicate you are wearing too many layers my friend... Peel some off for sure. Wear an ice pack around your head and also be under a big blanket.. That will keep a decent equilibrium (worked for me). Take half of a pain pill and that usually put me to sleep. Not sure what else to tell you. The first week or so wasn't too great for me, in regards to sleeping.

  • yea sleeping is horrible.. when i wake up in the morning i feel as if i never even slept and its a horrible feeling i just want a good nights sleep :( oh well 2 more weeks... sigh

  • 5th video coming soon!

    Braces of March 27th!

    subscribe!

  • hey im getting surgery on my upper jaw/

its gonna have 2 be wired shut,,,umm were u wired shut or whatt??

wen u drank juice or w/e... did u have 2 use a serange or straw?

  • I was not wired shut. They used an acrylic plate.

Syringes are best... you won't be able to use a straw. :)

  • My surgeon told me that people are pretty rarely wired shut. Instead they use strong rubberbands.I'll probably have mine next year. Of course my mom is not to sold on the idea, but i think she is coming around.

  • Yeah.. Getting wired shut is like.. stone age. Some people still do, but they have new methods.

  • wow man...i dont know what to say but it was a neat sequence of videos!

  • i just had this surgery like 5 days ago, i spent 5 days in the hospital cuz of the threat of pnuemonia on diarehrea. ive been home for like an hour now, the morphine is nice though. i had top and bottom jaw suergery, as well as chin advancement.

looking forward to the results when the swelling goes down.

  • can i ask, did you notice a change in the shape/length of ur nose after surgery?xx

  • just had one finished this past Tuesday

and let me tell you, it feels like hell

especially spending overnight in the hospital, where I couldn't even breathe that well (bandaging my nose where all the blood was flowing out)

  • Im going to need this surgery pretty soon, but it's so damn costly. I have the same problem you did.

  • wow. that must have hurt a lot...

  • holy cow,

Thank you for the inight. I am going in to get my jaw done and i am extreamly freaked out. Now ( by watching) your videos, i am not so bad. so thank you again i hope that your happy with ur new face and good luck in the future.

    Sarah

  • You're welcome, and Thank you.

  • dude i am so humbled and impressed. wow. i kinda stumbled on your vids by accident. but wow what a difference. i got about a year left in braces.

    Dave

  • Thank you :)

  • hey what are the screws? sorry im southamerican! dont understand perfect english

  • What language do you speak? The screws in my mouth, titanium rods holding my bones together

  • ah ok thanks! i speak Spanish! :D

  • ur lucky. i had to have the double...

  • I'm sorry to hear that.. I was pretty lucky

  • will they take off the screws later on after ur full recovery?

  • No, the screws stay in for the rest of my life.

  • a huge difference!!!

  • I should have my splint for another 3 weeks. I can't wait because I just can't get the swallowing technique down with it and it sucks to eat with and is much worse to talk with (as you can tell from the video). I don't have any feeling in my chin or lower lips, though. All-in-all, I'm glad the procedure is done and over with. It was a huge burden over our heads. I just can't wait to see the finished product and have a fat burger! ; )

  • Man how you look now??? did you change since your last video??

  • Not a whole lot... My 4th and final video will be posted when I get my braces off. That should be within the next 3-4 months. Subscribe to my videos if you want to watch for that one.

  • I'm on day 3 of lower jaw surgery and it seems like I'm having more neck pain than jaw pain because of the way I have to sleep. My doctor told me that my lower jaw was not screwed together so they are loose and it feels weird because I can feel the jaw bones rub. He said that it will still heal. Makes me wonder.

  • I had lower jaw surgery on 12/11/2007 and it's not as bad as people were saying. It's is more uncomfortable than anything. If anybody wants to know more just ask me.

  • i just had both jaws done, ive lost 15 pounds in 4 days and i cant sleep becuase my heart is racing at around 100 beats per minute resting. I think im going to die. Were you this bad on day 4? How did you overcome it i really need help.

  • Day 4/5 may be the worst. They were the worst for me. Hang in there man.. don't let your mind drive you where you feel like you're going. Have you been taking the medications as prescribed? If you've been taking the pain killers, try holding off for a while and drink LOTS OF water or liquids. What you are feeling is anxiety and possibly nausea. You need to take deep breaths to calm yourself/change your sitting position/perhaps lay down.

  • Find a comfortable position to decrease your heart rate and relax.. Take deep breaths. As they say.. breath from the belly.

  • I found out my nasal spray is probabbly causing my problems, it takes 24 hours to completly leave my system so hopefully when that happens i can sleep.

  • What type of nasal spray are you using? It's best to just use a Saline spray and nothing with any other type of medication. Saline is essentially just salt water and will do nothing to harm you. It helps with declogging your sinus cavity after the surgery as well. Best wishes!

  • I'm on day 8 of lower jaw surgery and I have lost 25 pounds. Day 4 was the worst day of my life and I thought I was going to die too. My Doctor said that days 4-5 are the worst so for everyone out there just hang on. I now feel great other than wanting to hold up a fast food joint for food. I think I'm going to take advantage of the weight loss and join the gym or something. Good Luck.

  • I'm having jaw surgery on 12/11/2007 and I'm very scared... should I be? 10 days from today! I did alot of research on the oral surgeon and I feel very good about his work. For anyone who wants to know his name... DR. Samuel McKenna at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. How much weight loss should I expect?

  • Congrats on the surgery. I have an underbite and have headaches usually everyday. Do you think I should see a dentist since it might be the cause of them?

  • I went to a doctor and he suspected TMJ for the same reasons. I can't believe my jaw could give me a headache that wouldn't allow me to get out of bed! ABSOLUTELY go see your dentist, they will refer you to the right people. Just remember, headaches have many origins and it may not be the cause either... drink lots of water!

  • Wish i woulda seen this vid before my surgery. I coulda done with those food tips! I had it about 3 months ago and am still wired shut! I can kinda eat real food now, after living off soup for months! Now i ((try to) eat pasta and thats about the hardest thing i have tried so far! I'm scared that its still gonna go wrong! And my face is still numb!i had to have both jaws done and also my nose so i can breathe through it.

And i would NEVER EVER do this for vanity reasons.

  • Dude did your ears clog up after that? b/c mine are!!!

  • Not that I remember no. You should contact your surgeon.

  • amazing work done i think!! congrats

  • Why did you have the surgery done? My daughter has an under bite like yours and has head aches...just wondered if that was related and why you had your surgery done.

  • There were complications with my jaw that endangered by back molars. If I did not have the surgery, my teeth would eventually crack (sometime in my 30's.. way before they really need to) because all I was chewing on was 4 total teeth. Also, I wasn't able to breathe through my nose, which would lead to frequent headaches. Headaches can come from a jaw problem, because of the effort required to move the jaw.

  • damn wtf? i am on my 3rd week now after my surgery and my mouth is still completely shut. and my surgery was only the bottom jaw. hmmmmp. but yea i wanna eat so badly rite now. lol good to see that theres alotta similiar people with same situations out there

  • I had upper jaw surgery 12 days ago, I know the pain of eating liquids :( They moved my upper jaw forward 9mm, so it's quite a difference. Still swollen which sucks but it's all good

  • Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you will most likely be swollen for a while longer. Keep your chin up!

  • hey i just got upper and lower and i was wondering, how much weight did you lose after the first 2 weeks? and also, do you keep losing weight when you start the non particle free? because i'm not even done with the particle free diet and i've already dropped 15 and im freezing half the time because of the lack of fat on my body. any tips to gain a little on a liquid diet?

  • Hot soup is your answer my friend. Broccoli, tomato (with VERY mashed up crackers, stirred thoroughly), potato (with VERY mashed up potatoes and veggies, stirred thoroughly). These will help you stay both warm, and get some solids into your system. The only "particles" they are asking you to avoid are things like steak, french fries, cheese, chewy things. Slowly work your way into those things... VERY slowly. Good luck, if you have other questions, please message me.

  • thanks, i tried the crackers!! amaaaazing yum. but also to people going through the same thing right now, blended orange juice + vanilla ice cream goes through a strainer. actually any blended melted ice cream but thats the good one :9

  • wonderful, thanks for the info. ill pass that along to others who email me with questions about food.

  • u luk much better now

  • You look great! :)

  • u loook like coool

  • Wow, I'm about to check out your other stuff to learn the back story of this whole surgery situation. Did you have some sort of problem or defect in your jaw(s) that it was just time to correct? I have to say that you seem intelligent, articulate, and just a gentle person. You just seem pretty cool is all. Good luck with your recovery!

  • The day you added this on youtube was the day I had surgery to correct my underbite! I had to have surgery on both the top and bottom jaw, lol, it is defiantely worth it now though after all the swelling has gone down and i'm sure you feel the same way. Thanks for adding your video :).

  • hey dude, i am just like you were before. Now i'm planning to have the surgery. But I'm still working on it. If you don't mind, I'm from the Philippines and the cost of the operation is between 12,000 to 15,000(US dollar) here in my country. I just wanna ask you; how much your operation cost you there in the US?

  • Total cost was around $40,000... insurance covered most of it

  • all i have to say is HOLY SHIT. how much would be it be for BOTH jaws?

  • I'm not sure, that's something to discuss with your surgeon/hopsital registrar. They don' like to discuss cost. My total cost was around $40,000. But I highly doubt it would be double that for both jaws. Not to mention I had my surgery done at one of the most expensive hospitals in America...

  • sry, if i keep asking you too many questions. I'm just eager to eat right now.

  • No, my surgeon didn't. Anyway my nose has stopped bleeding. I have another question. How long did you have to wait before you can start eating hard food like beef, chicken, burgers, etc? lol, I'm craving for those foods right now and I really want to eat those instead of just drinking fluid. Thanks

  • I know how you feel! The want/need to eat solid foods is greater than anything you may feel in life. It especially sucked for me, because just thinking about not being able to eat is depressing. After a while, you will be able to eat semi-solid foods (think uncrusted bread, noodles) but you should NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT eat ANY solid foods for a good 6 weeks. Even then it still may be dangerous. 6 weeks is minimum. I know it sucks, but it will all be worth it in the end!

  • Are you going to have your new video anytime soon? I just had my surgery 2 days ago and I'm curious about how you look. And my nose keeps bleeding constantly. Is that normal? Do you have any suggestions for me to stop my nose bleeding besides tilting my nose upward? Thanks.

  • New video will be up soon. I look a lot different from the first and second videos (I think). Well, my nose wasn't gushing blood, but there was blood there. Did your surgeon recommend a saline nasal spray? You should use that. It's basically just salt water you spray in your nostrils. That will both clean out the nose and constrict the blood vessels so they do not present so much bleeding. Good luck to you!

  • How old are you? I'm thinking of postponing the surgery until I'm 27 (I'm 19 right now), just to finish schooling first. Do you think that's a good idea. Thanks for any suggestion!!

  • I am 19 years old. If you get the surgery right as school gets out for the summer, you will be fully recovered by the time school starts up again. I wouldn't postpone it at all! You are at the healthiest point in your life and you will bounce back (heal) so fast that if you wait till your 27 you'll wish you hadn't!

  • I hope to get my nose done but I don't know how much it'll cost. Approximatly how much do you think it'll cost?

  • I wouldn't recommend getting surgery to improve your looks - only if your nose is a deterrent to your health now (as insurance usually doesnt cover cosmetic changes, and surgery is REALLY expensive!) But if you do decide to do it, talk to your surgeon and get an estimate.

  • Hey I just found out that my surgery will be only my upper jaw just like yours. How long was your surgery? And can you give me some advices on what I should or should not do after my surgery is done? I'm quite nervous since I'm having my surgery on July 5

  • The surgery itself was about 6 hours long for me. You are asleep the entire time, so there is no need to worry about that. Advice = Listen to the doctors. They will tell you EVERYTHING you need to do/avoid doing. Basically, NO HARD FOODS. Applesauce, yogurt, and juice. Don't be nervous! Good luck to ya!

  • Way to go dude! Huge difference and looks fantastic! I'll be having mine done in the fall, maybe just upper but we'll see.

  • i have a question when u have the jaw surgery, does it change the shape of the nose?

  • It may, and it may not. That is something you have to check with your surgeon. If you view my first video: you'll see I had a very narrow nasal passage. After my surgery, my nasal passages were opened up because my surgeon felt it would be necessary (and cosmetic, looks better!). Watch out for my next video!

  • It looks great Ben. Hang in there, things will get better and all the swelling will eventually go away.

  • Thank you, bbaker. How are things moving along for you? I'm going on about 2 weeks now. Going to upload a new video before the 11th of June.

  • looks great ben. i had both jaws done 10 weeks ago.

  • Just upper, actually.

  • did u have upper and lower jaw surgery or just lower?
